Chapter Text
A thick silence filled the room for a minute as Liz and Elaine both did not know how to reply to their brother’s question properly. They knew what they wanted to talk about, yes, but how were they to word it? They couldn’t just go and ask hey Neal, is it true your dick is suddenly growing. No, they had to have some tact, but at the same time, this whole topic was just so embarrassing to think about.
Liz decided to be the one to go ahead, she tried to word it the best way possible so as to not come off too strongly.
“Neal… what we wanted to talk about was… you’re nine. Right?” She asked.
“Uhm. Yeah.” Neal replied with a nod, confused at why his sister was asking such an obvious thing.
“Okay, the reason I ask is because… that’s the age where boys like you… start going through puberty and stuff. And Elaine and I needed to ask about it…”
Elaine finally spoke something, adding to what Liz was talking about. “Neal, are you feeling any… weird changes in yourself lately? And if you have… are they getting… more extreme with time?”
Neal immediately tensed up. He already felt an intimidating, oppressive pressure in the air, but now it was so much worse. He really didn’t want to talk about this. Especially with all the weird stuff with Dr. Sylvia and Rita lately. He wanted to lie and say there was nothing, but he could tell from the way the two of them were looking at him, that they knew, knew enough at least, enough to be able to see through a lie or be able to tell that he was hiding something if he tried to avoid telling the truth.
So, with his gaze averting theirs, a thick deep blush in his cheeks, he decided to answer, at least a little.
“Yeah… it’s… it’s my penis, it’s getting big in weird ways lately…” He admitted softly, his heart pumping. It was just his two sisters, but to Neal it was as if he was confessing to a crowd of hundreds from how nervous he felt.
Liz and Elaine also had to avert their own eyes. They both expected this answer at this point, but had at least a small hope that what their mother had just said was completely fabricated nonsense somehow. But just knowing this was enough to quell that, and make them be forced to bitterly accept that what they had been told was true.
“Can you… show it to us?”
Both Liz and Neal then turned with puzzled expressions to Elaine, confused at why she had asked such a thing. Elaine herself began blushing as she realized what she had just said and felt her heart skip a beat.
“N-No! No, I mean! Nevermind, forget what I said—!”
“Liz, Elaine, is it not time for you two to go to school soon?”
The two girls raised their heads to see the source of the voice by the door as the head of their mother leaned in. With a smile on her face.
“I… yes.” Liz replied.
The two stood up from the bed. The oldest sister let out a quiet, awkward “Okay, thank you for telling us Neal.” as she did.
As they proceeded to walk out, Liz positioned herself behind the other two, and the sight she could see left her concerned. The breasts of her mother and sister had grown such that even from looking at the two of them from behind it was possible to get a glimpse of them. Would their mom if she continued doing what she did get even bigger? She thought. Would Elaine? Well, Elaine seemed frightened when she realized what had happened to her chest, so she probably would avoid anything that would trigger that. But, Liz thought, at the same time, the way Elaine acted was something she had always thought was a tad off-putting, she remembered some glances she got at what she had on her computer sometimes. Often she was looking at stuff like anime and asian video games and stuff… and ones with very young male characters.
God, this whole situation was so screwed up. It was as if her mother had gone crazy from one day to another. Liz could only hope that Elaine would not get screwed in the head too, especially after the last thing she said back in Neal’s room. Should she tell someone about this? She should, but god, it would destroy the whole family if stuff about this came out. She could only gulp as she finally opened the door, as she and Elaine headed out for school. But just as they were about to walk out, once again, the two heard the voice of her mother.
“By the way, I heard what Elaine asked about, don’t worry. I’ll send it to you two.”
Liz paused her movements, both sisters turning to see the smiling face of Amy. Before trying to just ignore it and continue walking out as they heard the door closing behind them.
On the elevator, they took her phone out of their pocket, seeing that there was a message from her mom. And that… it had an image file attached to it.
Liz cringed, trying to not think about it as she put her phone back. She could just tell what the image would have, and she really, really didn’t want to see it. Elaine meanwhile, was wondering if she should.
—
“Hey Liz, you look so spaced out, is something up?” let out Bianca, trying to be quiet so as to not alert Mrs. Brett as she wrote down on the blackboard.
“It’s nothing Bianca, now quiet down before Mrs. Brett hears you.” Liz replied, trying to keep a quiet tone of voice as well.
Her reply however was a complete lie. She really was having a hard time concentrating on her surroundings much, her mind completely on that conversation from the morning. She wanted time to stop so she could process it all, or to just stop scaring and scream out everything she heard then and there for the whole world to see. Everything about this situation made her feel like such a wreck.
She looked at Bianca. The two had been best friends since freshman year, and she was always someone she could rely on to talk to whenever she was in a bad mood. Listening to her complaints or cries about whatever bothered her lately. From terrible first dates to her mom nagging to her about test results, Bianca was always someone she could trust. And the feeling was mutual, Liz was on the receiving end of Bianca’s own venting sessions quite often, listening to her as she talked about how noisy her neighbors are or how much her parents keep telling her not to major in art.
She wondered if it would be a good idea to tell Bianca about everything. What would she think? Would she keep it a secret if Liz asked? Would she immediately tell everyone in a panic? What would she think of Liz herself and her family if she knew about it all? The two had been friends for almost three years by now, and if this potential conversation could break that all apart then she was hesitant to start it.
But still, Liz felt like she couldn’t take this all much longer. So even if she couldn’t talk, she would still try to… ask for advice, yes. Just ask for advice without getting into any icky specifics, not yet.
“Uh… Bianca?” She whispered quietly.
“What’s up?” Her friend replied.
“I wanna talk to you about something later…”
“Uh, sure.” She responded. Through the small exchange, both maintained their stares fixed forward with neither looking at each other. The two of them were used to doing so at this point.
At recess, the two stood together by the stairs near the hallways, their backs to the wall. Bianca on the step directly above Liz’s. Liz, a stereotypical asian beauty of fair skin, long black hair and a somewhat petite figure, the stereotype’s aesthetic betrayed by the look on her face, always looking as bothered and bitter as could be. Bianca, her skin tone a bit on the darker side, appearing a bit like a bronze tan despite its naturalness, her dark brown curly hair reaching down to her shoulders, and her figure more comparable to Liz’s own little sister Elaine. Or at least, Elaine as she looked the previous day rather than how Liz found her earlier in the morning.
“So, what’s getting you all down like that?”
A brief pause before Liz replied. “Bianca… You ever feel like your world is changing and you don’t know how to deal with it? Not like, the whole world, but your world, your own little world.”
Bianca was quick to show concern. “Did something happen? Is it your family?”
Liz didn’t want to get into it for obvious reasons, but still tried to let Bianca in on some details. “It’s about Neal…”
“Neal? Is there anything wrong with him? Is this about those bullies you said mess with him all the time?”
“No, no, nothing to do with that.” Liz clarified. “It’s just… You know how I always tried to basically, well, ignore him. And Elaine as well…”
“Yeah, I know. Can’t say I get it…” An only child. To Bianca the idea of having little siblings always seemed fun when she imagined it and she never got why Liz seemed so apathetic to hers.
“Well. Now he’s in… an awkward situation. And I’d rather not talk about it here but… I feel like there’s not anyone else that can make it better for him other than me… But I don’t know what is the best for him to begin with…”
“Oh. So you’re saying… you want to spend more time with your brother!”
Liz immediately lost her breath upon hearing those words. “What!? No!”
“Oh come on Liz! Think about it! You feel all weird that you don’t know what you gotta do for him. Maybe it’s because you just realized you don’t get your brother in the first place! Maybe just trying to, you know, know him better is the answer!”
“That…” And so came a brief pause. “Doesn’t really make things better. But I sorta get what you’re saying…”
“I keep telling you Liz, you ought to stop thinking so hard about what image you give off!”
“Yeah, yeah… Thank you Bianca. I’m not sure if what you said is the answer I was looking for… But I appreciate the talk.”
Bianca was always the more straightforward and emotionally open of the two. Which is why she was often just the perfect person to talk to whenever Liz needed to just untangle her thoughts properly.
Liz had no idea of any sort of plan, or decision she should take. But she knew she should try to be there for Neal, she was never much of a big sister to him but, better late than never.
—
“Elaine. Is something distracting you?”
“Uh? Oh!” Elaine could nearly feel her heart jump out of her chest, only noticing now after the class had been told to work on some questions, that Ms. Harley had just walked up to her desk and seat. “N-No Ms. Harley!”
“I will be frank with you Elaine. There are lots of students in this class that are complete underachievers, many kids just here due to the fact they have to and who treat this class as busywork before they get on with the rest of their day. You… are usually not one of them. You get distracted sometimes, but I have never seen you so obviously be looking down on that phone under your desk so often in one class before. So zoned out. Do you understand?”
“I… sorry…” Elaine blushed, realizing she also had noticed her checking her phone often.
“I like you Elaine. You’re a good student, and I’m sure you have a great future ahead of you. Which is why I don’t like seeing you acting like this. If there’s something wrong, please, tell me.”
“I… okay, thank you Ms. Harley.”
And the teacher walked off back to her own desk. Ms. Harley always felt… relatable, to Elaine. From her long messy red hair to those eyebags under her eyes, and the way that despite the low enthusiasm she displayed it was clear she put her all into her work even if she wasn’t the warmest or most sociable teacher. She was someone that the girl could look up to almost. So Elaine felt a bit guilty making her feel concerned like that.
But she couldn’t help herself. That photo was burned into her mind, and she could not get it out of her head, she would keep rechecking it over and over again to see if it was real, and every time, it looked no different. That thing, that enormous incredible thing really was just sticking out between the legs of her little brother, all while being completely flaccid.
She kept thinking about what her mother had said. And imagining all the things she described, all while having that photo’s contents in mind. She didn’t want to think about it, but it proved impossible not to.
She checked the clock, still thirty more minutes before Math class was over. And there was still English after that before she could go home. This was going to be such a long day.
—
After what would usually be a normal morning, save for, again, the distractingly large chest his mother possessed. Neal had a standard day at school. Doing classes, chatting with Derrick, Rita and her friend Sydney. Rita’s breasts had grown a bit, again, alongside those of his own mother and his sister, Neal couldn’t help but think that the fact that it was all women surrounding him in his life meant he had something to deal with. Then again, the only person he could ask about this would be… Dr. Sylvia, who was super shady already.
Thankfully, Kyle and his suck-ups did not annoy them that day. And even the crowd surrounding Rita was starting to disperse lately. So it was a relatively calm day for everyone.
As he arrived home. He got to his room and lazed around in bed for a few minutes, before getting up to start some homework. Right in the middle of it, he heard the door open to the arrival of Liz and Elaine like usual.
His door open, he said hi to the two as they passed through the hallway into their own room. Neither replied like usual. But, moments later, as the two got to their room, one left, as Neal heard footsteps coming closer and closer.
“Liz?”
“Neal.”
“...What are you doing here?”
She turned her head to look around the room. “What do you usually do all day?”
“Huh?”
“What do you do all day?” She asked again, staring him eye to eye as she did.
“Oh. I… sometimes I play on the Wii, sometimes I read these old books that dad had that he put here for space, sometimes I just check on my phone… nothing much.”
“The Wii?” She turned her head to see it lying next to the small TV. She then walked up to it, picking it up, as well as the wires, and one game case, a Mario game.
“Are you taking it with you?” Neal was confused and a bit surprised. Liz was never much of a videogame person.
“Come with me.”
“Uhm?”
“Come with me.” She repeated.
“But I got to do my homework…”
“Is it due tomorrow?”
“No, but sti—”
“Then come with me.”
At this point, Neal just accepted her words as he followed his big sister as she carried the game console, its controllers and a game case in her arms back to her own room.
“Neal?” Elaine was a bit surprised to see her brother as he was rarely in the two sisters’ room.
“Hi Elaine…” He said a bit shyly, feeling as if he was threading somewhere he was not supposed to step foot on. Watching as Liz was connecting the Wii to the small TV in her and Elaine’s own room. Before turning both said TV and the console on.
“Neal, sit with me.” She said as she sat herself, tapping the small space next to her.
“Okay…”
“Alright, now, teach me how to play this game.” She placed one of the controllers in his hands.
“...What?”
“Teach me how to play it. Come on, start it.” She had a controller in her own hands. “This is one of those two-player games right?”
“Right… okay then.” This was a bit strange. Liz had never shown interest in doing anything with Neal for as far as he could remember, for her to suddenly want to play videogames with him felt almost surreal. But… strange as it was, there was no real reason to say no.
“What do I do?”
“Uh, you’re holding it wrong, you have to hold it sideways with both hands like this.”
“Uh, okay but what do I do?”
“You move left and right with that plus sign-shaped button, and uh, you run and do some other stuff with 1 and jump with 2.”
“Okay… so I move like this and— Wait, did that brown thing just kill me?”
“You have to jump on it like this.”
“Augh, god damn it.”
As she watched this unfold. Elaine couldn’t help but giggle a bit. Liz was usually such an extremely detached person, seeing her and Neal play together like this was so endearing for the middle sibling, at one point she just stopped what she was doing, putting her computer on sleep mode and lied on her own bed, just watching the screen of the game playing and listening to the two.
About an hour later, Amy arrived home, compared to the morning, she was acting more like her usual self, looking tired and exhausted as could be, just saying hi and saying she would start making dinner soon like usual. But at the moment, Amy could not help but be surprised at first to find that Neal was not in his own room but instead was spending time with Liz! And that Elaine too was not just glued to her computer but watching the two and enjoying herself!
And with that the night went by in a flash.
—
“You have to press the jump button really quick in succession or you’ll fall on the quicksand!”
—
“Why does that fire thing do this? This is so annoying!”
—
“No wait, don’t drop the shell here! It’ll just collide with the wall and-oh…”
—
Before they knew it, it was past midnight. After a brief pause to eat dinner with even Elaine present this time. The two had been spending the whole night playing the game together. But eventually, it was time to stop. Neal and Liz had found themselves enjoying this experience far more than either could imagine when they had just started, but now Neal had to go to bed.
Neal took a glass of water, and took the next pill. The seventh, now there would only be one left.
Then, as he went to the bathroom and proceeded to brush his teeth, he found Liz waiting for him outside in the hallway.
“Neal.”
“Liz? What is it?”
She suddenly moved her hand, holding him by his arm. Looking at him eye to eye. “Neal, do you want to… sleep in our room tonight?”
His eyes widened in disbelief at what he had just heard. Sleeping in Liz and Elaine’s room? No… he couldn’t, he was well past the age for something like that. But at the same time, the way she asked, it was… so sincere. It was so strange to see Liz like that. She was usually trying to be as detached as possible, acting as if she never cared, but this… this was something she cared about clearly.
- Neal declines, and sleeps in his own room;
- Neal accepts, and sleeps in Elaine’s bed;
- Neal accepts, and sleeps in Liz’s bed.
