Summary
Buddy narrows his eyes, studying him. His critical gaze slides over Chase slowly—the disheveled hair, flushed rosy cheeks, the grin even dopier than usual. He takes in the slumped posture, the big glassy brown eyes, the way his words overlap one another like honey or syrup.
"Oh, for—" Buddy exhales sharply, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Are you drunk?"
Chase gasps in feigned outrage. "Whaaaat? Nooo. What? Drunk? What the hell is even that?"
Buddy stares at him flatly, certain of one thing. He’s drunk. Not just tipsy—gone. Completely, stupidly, adorably gone.
