The men who came after him obviously hadn’t expected an omega to be much of a threat. Especially with how pregnant he was. But Porsche had never been one to step back from a fight, and he sure wasn’t going to start now when he had a baby to protect.
All three men were down almost before they could pull out their guns. Porsche frowned at their bodies. Whoever had sent them was obviously in woeful need of better training for their men in his opinion. But that had certainly worked out in his favor today, so who was he to complain?
Porsche looked up as footsteps charged down the alley. Kinn was in the front, gun drawn and a tight look on his face. The look immediately faded to one of relief when he saw that the threat was neutralized.
“You ok?” Kinn asked as he strode forward, holstering his gun. “You’re uninjured?”
“Of course.” He hadn’t been particularly worried.
But his alpha had been, so he allowed himself to be looked over and scented, ignoring the slightly uncomfortable looks of the guards who were hanging back near the entrance to the alley. Kinn needed the reassurance that Porsche and their baby were fine. It annoyed Porsche a little, but he knew Kinn wasn’t ignoring his badass skills or anything, he was just running on instinct. It was perfectly normal.
“Let’s go home,” Kinn finally said, apparently reassured enough to let them move, if not enough to not have his arm around Porsche’s waist as he led the way to the car.
It was fine though. Porsche had to admit that his back was starting to hurt. And he was hungry. Shooting some assholes really took more out of him now that he was pregnant than it used to.
