Work Text:

Levi's huddled body shifted on the train seats, agitation creeping up his neck as his mind began to wander. What was he supposed to do at the train other then sit back, he wasn't sure if the others would be coming back for a while. His eyes glanced to the empty seat in front of him, his gaze growing weary as he sank deeper into the recess of his mind. He wasn't useful, so they left him, maybe it was a good thing he didn't go with them. Maybe he should've said something if he was really bothered by it, yet now... it was far too late. His hand rubbed against his face in an attempt to forget the train of thought, his knees starting to spread out to get more comfortable before the click of his rifle falling to the ground beckoned him. He eyes stared intently at the handle, his vision zeroing in as he lost all focus to his surroundings.

If they didn't come back... if they didn't need him... then.. could he try getting out of here by himself? Rational thought had long abandoned Levi as the only thing he knew he was good at, the one thing that could win his freedom, was just one choice away. A cold sweat trailed down his neck before he felt his hand start to reach closer to the ground. H-He shouldn't, he knows he shouldn't! But.. if he had to then-

"What're muttering about?"

A soft breath tickled Levi's ear as his body flinched before his eyes darted immediately towards Marina sitting right on the seat next to him. He instinctively tried to move to make some extra space, yet realized he only had a few inches left from the train walls. Her shoulders were practically pushing on his, how'd he not notice her earlier? Levi collected himself as he turned towards her, his voice caught in his throat while he attempted to explain himself.

"It was Nothing... sorry... I thought I was alone..."

"I mean it's alright, nothing to be sorry about. You just looked pretty creepy whispering to yourself."

".. Mhmm.."

Levi's hand came to cover an embaressed frown that grew on his face, he didn't want her thinking he was creepy. Though, she still came to him... maybe he didn't ruin this yet? A sigh left his mouth before he straightened his back and turned his head towards Marina, but his gaze fell towards his own feet instead. Why'd he have to make this difficult, all she was doing was trying to make conversation. He chastised himself while he stared blankly at the floor, the soft push of Marina's grey pigtails resting on his shoulders the only thing keeping him from drifting off again. A slight poke to his hand caught his attention as he caught a glimpse of Marina checking if he'd notice yet. A small grin grew on her lips once he actually started looking at her.

"Random question, who'd you think is win this whole 'Festival' thing?"

Levi's eyes widened before he gave it some serious thought, the feeling of her hand still atop of his confused him enough to where he couldn't focus as well. The question itself seemed weird, considering everything they were going through, but she asked it so casually that he could've assumed she didn't care about this hole thing. Course they were signs, why else would she huddle next to someone on the train if she wasn't scared of something jumping at her. There wouldn't be any other reason...

"I don't know... I'd think it'd boil down to who takes out who.."

"Alright, then between the two of us, who'd win? You picked me up from that mansion, think I'd be the one leaving or you if things worked out differently."

Marina's finger poked right on the zipper of Levi's coveralls before retreating back to his hand, a curious expression painted right on her face as her fingers slowly slid in-between his knuckles. He didn't exactly know how to respond to something like that, he wasn't even thinking about hurting her when they first met. It sorta... worked out, the only thing he could recall was the way she smiled at him. A rosy cheeked blush rushed to Levi's cheeks as his eyes darted back to the floor in an attempt to compose himself. Was he supposed to be thinking about it like that? If not then he'd probably be long dead...

"You'd be leaving... You'd be faster..."

"Really? Thought Ex-soldier over here had some extra tricks up his sleeve?"

"No... Not really..."

He was lying through his teeth, he knew at least seventeen different ways to take out a person. Despite that he found it hard to apply it to normal people, it just felt easier during the war. Everyone fighting for thier own skin having no room to question what they were doing, and more importantly no time to dwell on it at the moment. If he were honest with himself he'd rather not question how far he needed to be pushed to get to that point... although he knew already, he experienced it no less than a few minutes ago. His hand began to claw at the cushion beneath him, but the gentle caress of Marina's thumb helped him relax a bit. He hated how much he liked feeling her fingers curl around his palm, made him feel like a creep for wanting more of it...

"I mean- you had a few good inches on me, not to mention that log of a gun you had strapped on you. So maybe you'd have a slight chance? Plus, this body of yours isn't anything to scoff at either..."

Marina's hands gently grabbed at his upperarm before pulling it closer to her side, her fingers gently trailing the slight curve of his muscles before stopping right at the track marks of his inner elbow. Why was she doing this, it wasn't all that impressive for any soldier to have this kind of build? Though, maybe he survived longer for a reason. The train of thought left Levi's head as he felt her arms contrict the entirety of his in no less then seconds after, the soft push of her chest damning him like no other. Her hair pushed further up his shoulder as her head leaned right next to him, the scent of lavender suddenly washing over his face before, inevitably, he had to breath again. His teeth sank into his inner lip in an attempt o control himself, yet the way his heart raced showed no signs of slowing down. Marina was too close, far too close to be comfortable for her... and yet he found no will to move away. The slight pudge to her chest squishing against his body gave him no comfort, only a dirty sensation that traveled down to his waist. A pervy soldier, that's all he was, thinking of her like this... if he had left earlier then he could have avoided everthing. An indescrible feeling of dread formed in his chest at the very notion. All-Mer above... he loved this...

Marina's words left her lips so casually as she began to reminisce about her past. Her hold around Levi's arm only grew tighter while she snuggled closer, her thighs now rubbing right next to his own before she made an effort to lean them atop of it.

"You wouldn't believe how scrawny some people at the Vatican were. Not a single meat-head, hell I probably could've won an arm wrestle with a few of the taller ones. Guess it's just nice to have you around in case of anything bad..."

"Is that why you're so close...?"

".... Sure. Really don't mind cuddling with the creepy guy talking to himself just cause he's built better then a twig. If summoning actual fire never helps then I could throw you at anything that comes by...~"

Marina's sarcasm hit Levi like a truck as he barely missed the impish grin that grew on her face. It sounded like she was having fun at the end there, he couldn't tell from her tone though. It was for the best if he didn't question this at all, not like he wasn't all for it in the first place. Levi's eyes idly drifted towards his own lap to Marina's, his impassive expression hiding his nervousness as he questioned why she was still clinging on to him. Why was she here at all? He assumed that she'd gone with the rest of the group, would've been easier for him to stop thinking clearly. Marina's voice rose once more with a hushed tone, the teasing edge from before now gone entirely. Her body leaned a bit closer to Levi's ear to whisper something, as if she wanted him alone to hear her like this.

"I'm.. scared.. if anything comes by..."

Her shifting body snuggled closer to him, her legs nearly filling up half his lap as her arms wrapped around his waist. This was all too familiar to him, her tone, how her voice shook, anyone in the frontlines would know. He's seen his seniors break down in front of him, kids no more then 5 years younger then himself start to break under the pressure. The most he could do was listen to make sure they were heard, and he'd do the same now if it gave Marina any form of comfort. His back leaned against the cushiony seat of the train to allow her head to better rest on his shoulder as he silently let her continue on. The confidant facade from before melted away completely as her expression rested while she stared straight ahead, a small smirk peeking out from the corners of Marina's cheeks when she nuzzled her head a little closer to his side.

"Told the others I wasn't really feeling good, managed to fake it well enough they let me stay. Didn't want to be lying half-dead on the pavement with my head smashed in, y'know?"

Marina's eyes gazed expectantly into Levi's while her face was practically beaming now. His heart was beating out his chest, her tight hold around his body bringing him far closer then he'd ever let himself get. Why was he feeling this way, all she wanted was an answer!? Levi's eyes instictively darted away as he searched for something, anything else to focus on to get himself together! The soft push of her thighs rubbing on his body had him flustered to no end to the point where he hardly noticed Marina starting to climb onto his lap. The gentle movements followed by an unforgettable press of her rear nearly slamming onto his crotch sent a burning arousal below his waist, his teeth biting the inside of his lower lip to conceal any shred of a sound that dared spill from his mouth. Yet each subtle moment doomed him, her plump, fleshy mounds utterly crushing his shameful arousal while she looked at him like... like... he didn't want to say. What did he even know, he barely talked to any normal person in years! Was this... normal? Confusion and agitation tried worming its way back into his mind once more to no avail, one glance at Marina's plush, painted lips had him spiraling back into an infatuated frenzy...

... He hadn't answered her in a bit... he was a afraid to... His words struggled to claw thier way out of his throat before a silent peep of a response managed to peek outside his lips.

"... Yeah..."

".. Well, turned out I didn't feel exactly safe alone either. Just sitting around wondering if they'll come back at all, maybe something could've gotten to me before they did come back... kinda gets to you if you let it... but then I heard you."

Marina's finger poked accusingly on Levi's zipper, the cloth of his coveralls folding so easily beneath the pressure as her body saddled up a bit more on his lap until her rump enveloped the entirety of it. A part of himself was relieved at how similar their situations were and he'd be more then willing to keep this up if it helped her out some more, yet the insistent push of her atop of him... it made him feel pathetic how much it affected him. Marina's lips grew into an teasing simper before she spoke again, her hands coming to rest on his chest before smoothing out the front of his coveralls.

"It's pretty hard to ignore someone shuffling all around the place the way you did. So... Having some quiet, loser, ex-soldier to bite at for the next hour sounded pretty fun to me.."

Every word that she tacked on made Levi's face burn even more, yet he didn't feel uncomfortable with the way she said it either. His eyes stared back into Marina's before contemplating whether he should even keep talking at this point. What was he supposed to say to all this? Sitting and listening wasn't going to cut it here! He supposed he could question her on some stuff, she's been doing most of the talking here for the most part...

"Why... Why am I a 'Loser'..?"

"Ain't it obvious, cause I'd be walking out of that mansion. You said it yourself, you've got nothing on me-."

"It takes about 2-3 seconds for me to reload my rifle."

Marina's eyes soon widened before quickly narrowing down at Levi's face, the quick remark having a little more effect then he'd expected. She gently jabbed a finger directly onto his chest before beginning to repeatedly poking at it, all the while giving him a snide look.

"Sure, let's say that you could've, and let's say- for the sake of the argument, I was really not liking you loading a rifle right in front of me. I'm faster, those were your words right? Would've charged you then and there, see? Problem solved."

"... Aren't I a little stronger..? You made a point earlier that-..."

Levi's words died in his throat with the look Marina gave him, her lips pressed together into an annoyed frown as her brow began to furrow. What was he doing, he was being petty at this point. If he stopped here then maybe she'd stop getting this riled up about it. Yet... he couldn't deny how nice it felt having a relatively normal conversation with her... even if she was getting a little frusterated. A smile creeped up at the edges of his mouth at the thought alone, however his wandering eyes soon caught wind of the absolute disdain now burning in Marina's eyes. His body shifted instictively from the glare, only to be cornered by her weighing body squishing further into him. The soft push of her chest mixed with the tightening hold her knees had against his sides confused him... Was she angry? That curiosity of his died immediately once he felt a pair of arms wrap tightly around his neck, his eyes darting immediately towards Marina's only to find her gaze peeking to the side as if this wasn't anything big. His cheeks burned while he struggled to find a place to look, a shameful jitter ran down his spine while his eyes slowly lowered towards her plush lips. A finger poked at the back of Levi's neck before Marina spoke up again, her voice a tad lower then before as she murmured something into his cheek.

"Boom, you're dead. Turns out all I gotta do is get in your face..."

Her soft breaths landed squarely on Levi's cheek as she moved a little closer, her glossy lips lightly brushing agaisnt his skin, leaving a tiny, faint pink stain on his blushing face. It was barely anything, nothing compared to what he heard back at the army, and yet he couldn't stop his heart from beating like this. The gentle press of her lips ingrained itself into his head to an embaressing degree, his mind faintly recalling the confident smirk she had pulling back. That smile of hers only grew more amused the longer she looked at him, her lips parting for a brief moment to taunt him.

"Something tells me you've got a different reason for freezing, 'Soldier'."

Levi could practically feel Marina's cheeky grin weighing on his face... he just didn't want to acknowledge it. Still, he had to do something in response, she was still trying to talk to him. His arms trembled as they slowly wrapped them around her waist, his hands managing to settle down on the small of her back before he felt Marina's back begin to arch with it. This was what he was supposed to do here... right? He doesn't know what girls want, nobody taught him this back at the army! Best he got were the nurses and some skimpy magezines hidden in the barracks, though he never actually read any of those... he doubt they'd come in handy now even if he did. Levi's eyes froze once he looked back at Marina's face, her eyes staring right through him as a solem frown plagued the edges of her mouth. His mind scrambled to figure out what he did wrong before his attention was drawn by her quiet murmurs, her fingers twiddling with his hair at the back of his head while she gazed right into his eyes.

"You know, don't you. Haven't been the best at hiding it, but I can probably guess when you found out."

"... What..?"

"Haven't noticed? Here's some pointers then..."

Marina's hands suddenly grabbed at Levi's wrists before planting them right at the sides of her waist. He didn't know what was going on here, yet he knew he shouldn't be doing this! Reflexively his hands tried to wretch themselves back, only for Marina to press them tighter against herself before eventually seizing a firm hold around her. A furious blush painted Levi's cheeks as he stared right at her chest, his fingers sinking into her blouse before feeling the pliant push of her skin underneath her clothes. This felt dirty, each breath he heaved out felt too shaky then the last as he tried his damndest to stay vigilant through this. His hands spread out to feel the space of her sides, his thumbs gliding over the slight pudge of her stomach, his fingers feeling out the slight curves of her hips, he... he could've sworn it should've been more defined? Even back at the orphanage he could recall the dip in the nun's waists, some from the other orphan girls too. Marina was simply... different... his eyes stared blankly at her chest trying to process all of this before they shot back up to her face once she started speaking again.

"Figure it out yet? That some freak crossdresser is on top of you? Ain't hard to guess what you're thinking with a face like that."

Marina's expression scowled at her own words before she managed to save face at the last second. Levi felt his head subtly shift at her hand coming to cup his cheek before she leaned a tad closer. Her voice began to waver when she spoke as she tried desperately to cover it up. The edges of her lips curving to a frown while she looked at him like she was yearning for something, anything, that could prove her wrong.

"... Unless you aren't thinking that. Then.. you'd be different then most... Course that's just wishful thinking. There's no way someone could be themselves without being ostracized for it..."

Levi didn't know what to think, this wide-eyed soldier boy never had to deal with this before. Marina's helped him, that was something he knew was indisputable, this shouldn't change that. She was still herself and he still felt the same way about her even now, what he didn't understand was why she was telling him this at all. His opinion shouldn't matter here, yet the way she looked at him screamed otherwise. The way she cupped his face was too warm, how her thumb gently caressed against his cheek, convincing him he was worth more then he really was. If she was this willing to go this far for him then... he'd be selfish not to respond to it. His hand slowly lifted itself from her waist before grasping her palm that rested on his cheek, a furious blush developing on his face as his eyes focused conspicuously to the train cart's walls. It needed to be plain and short, nothing more, there wasn't any point thinking she could take it as anything else. He accepts her, he wants her to feel comfortable knowing that....

"I like... all of you..."

Levi felt himself cringe at his own words before he even finished the sentence. That's what he was supposed to do in situations like these, right!? It's normal to tell a another person they like them to help them feel better, he would've wanted people to tell him that! Marina was a person too and right now she...! She... she was just staring at him. Her lips pressed tightly against one another as a shaky exhale left her nose, her face more or less flushed in a velvety mess that seeped into her cheeks. Her hand subtly shifted behind his neck before her fingers spread to hold it, the slight fidgeting of her hand sent an jittery sensation down his spine. Was she upset? He wasn't exactly familiar with everything happening here, though if she was he should apologize for it. His lips quivered right as he was about to speak before he felt Marina's plush lips suddenly press against his, her hand working to hold the back of his head steadily as she earnestly pushed her mouth further into his own.

Levi could only silently groan into her succulent kiss as she began to bury her tongue into his own with each lasting second she maintained contact. Her hips pushed down on his lap until her chest smooshed entirely on his own, the squish of her breasts driving him mad as Marina made sure to smooch each inch of his mouth. His hands twitched earnestly, hovering above her waist, almost begging him to push her away to breath as he began to get dizzy from the lack of air. All of that, only for him to wrap his arms around her waist and pull her tighter against his body, the daft ex-soldier not regonizing the possibility of passing out. He's never gotten why his superior officers talked about holding thier wife's when they got home, since he's never had anyone like that, but this... it made him feel stupid for ever questioning it. Marina's soft pigtails rested onto his shoulders as the faint, cold press of her piercing pressed against the side of his face. Her eyes would flutter open for a moment to simply gaze into Levi's eyes before closing and smothering the soldier boy in another wet kiss. He felt Marina hesitantly wretch herself away from him to finally get some long needed air, their mouths separated only mere inches away from eachother with only a small string of saliva still connecting them. Despite having the space to finally breath, Levi still felt disoriented. The splotch of lip gloss she left on him still permiated warmth, the sensation sending his heart fluttering to no end as he tried desperately to focus on breathing. He'd be cut short by Marina's plush, soft lips pressing insistently on his cheek as her arms wrapped around his neck to lock him in place, her eager smooch leaving another bruising smudge of paint on his face before she dove back in for another, and another, and another...

It didn't take long for Levi to be sprinkled with smeared lip gloss, each imprint of her lips one darker shade of pink then the last as the trail of marks eventually led down to his neck. Marina's arms reeled back from his head before her hands cupped the sides of his face, forcing him to face her as she gazed down at him with a concerning amount of longing in her eyes. Her lips parted before she spoke a hushed whisper right into his nose.

"Do you like me...?"

Marina's eyes bashfully looked away while her hand gently caressed the side of Levi's cheek. He didn't know why she was even asking this, of course he did! Did she want him to say it again? He didn't mind at all it's just... it seemed pretty cute the way she asked for it. His arms pulled her slightly closer as he leaned a bit further into her hold.

"I like you."

"... Could you say it again...?"

Levi's face flushed with embaressment at the thought alone, but if that's what she wanted then who was he to judge. The corners of his lips curved into a sheepish frown as one of his hands came to rest on her hand, his thumb gently caressing her knuckles before letting his head lean a bit more into her palm. He could'vs swore he's heard someone do this before, one of the other soldiers talked about it in the barracks... either that or he's really cheesy..

"I.. really like you.."

A gentle smack of Marina's mouth pushed right on Levi's cheek before she began to murmur something through her pursed lips each time she pressed herself against his skin. Her grey curls surrounded the edges of his shoulders while she leaned in to smooch his lips, her arms going back around his neck to lock him in place once more. Her hushed murmurs would become slightly clear through her teasing whispers, the word 'loser' leaving her lips every so often as she followed it up by leaving another imprint of her lips right on his flustered face. She was having fun and that was all that mattered, even if it made his face burn unbelievably hard. If there was anything he could've done for her now it was to sit here and take it all without complaint. His moody thoughts would disperse once Marina started nibbling on his neck, her lips curving into a devious smile as she felt Levi begin to squirm. She had a lot of time left with him, and she'd be sure to use every second of it...

The next time Marina pulled away Levi was left a mess. His coveralls were unbuttoned and ruffled as a trail of pink marks led further down his chest. The weight on his lap eased as Marina shifted her body towards the train cart's widow before scooching back right back next to him. A tight squeeze formed around Levi's arm before she tugged him closer, her body snuggling to his side as her voice softly muttered into his ear.

"Looks like there finally back... You wanna try going to the back of the train?"

Marina's hand slipped away from his arm to press squarely on his chest, her fingers beginning to fidget with his undershirt while she waited expectantly for his response. Levi's gaze shamefully lowered to the ground while feeling her finger subtly press right where his heart frantically beated in his chest. All-Mer forgive him... he didn't want to this to end.

"... Y-Yeah..."

"... Alright...~"

A light kiss landed right on Levi's chin as Marina led him along off his seat, that smile of hers reaching ear to ear as her fingers clasped around his palm. She wasn't done with him, not nearly... yet he didn't mind not that one bit. He didn't want to go leave this place alone anymore, not without her...

Notes:

Might've had some self-indulgence with the kissing.
