Chapter Text
“Shedletsky are you listening?”
The admin in question looked up from his paper and looked at Builderman, who had called him.
“Yes I am hearing you Builds.” replied Shedletsky sarcastically.
Builderman frowned but didn't bother to press Shedletsky about his response.
“Well can you at least pretend to be engaged during the meetings, people are starting to think you don't care.” scolded Builderman.
“I do care! It's just… I've been lost in thought recently.” admitted Shedletsky as he got up from his chair and pushed it in.
“Wanna talk about it?” asked Builderman
Shedletsky pursed his lips before shaking his head. “No not right now, it's a little silly..” mumbled Shedletsky
Builderman looked at Shedletsky confused but didn't ask why Shedletsky thought that. The two admins left the meeting room chatting about hanging out and catching up any gossip.
“Well I've unfortunately got to cut our talk short Shedletsky.”
Shedletsky frowned at Builderman while giving him a sort of puppy eyes.
“Do you really have to go?” questioned Shedletsky.
This ended up making Builderman laugh but as he stated, he really did leave, which left Shedletsky by himself as he went home. The evening sky was calming to Shedletsky as he drove home.
As Shedletsky entered his home, he was greeted by silence which wasn't unusual for the admin but he couldn't help but feel as if something had been missing. Shedletsky wasn't sure when he noticed it but one day he woke up and felt as if he was missing a crucial part of himself.
Shedletsky knew it wasn't from loneliness, he had many friends in and outside of work, and Shedletsky doubted it was from being single. Shedletsky was never really one to long for a lover, he's experienced love and heartbreak so the concept of being single really didn't bother him. He was quite contempt but still.
Shedletsky laid in bed pondering why he was feeling the way he was till he passed out.
The next day Shedletsky was feeling better. Something the admin realized is that he only tended to feel the way he did when he was alone so he often found himself with others or simply doing something to keep himself preoccupied.
Today Shedletsky was with Builderman much to the other man's protest.
“I told you Shed, I'm not doing anything interesting. Just talking to a old friend.”
“Well I can come along can't I?” Asked Shedletsky
Builderman looked at Shedletsky with a mixed expression, the man looked like he wanted to tell Shedletsky to mind his own business but decided against it.
“Fine” sighed Builderman “You can come but if I tell you to wait somewhere, promise me you will.” pleaded Builderman
Shedletsky nodded “Sure? You act like I'm gonna eavesdrop on your conversation.” joked Shedletsky
Builderman frowned “You have.”
“I have no idea what you are talking about.” mumbled Shedletsky
Surprisingly, the place Builderman's friend wanted to meet at was Sword Fight on The Heights. Shedletsky was confused but decided not to question it, he didn't want to make Builderman mad so he decided to keep his questions and comments to himself.
“Wait here.” spoke Builderman before leaving Shedletsky by himself near a pillar. Shedletsky waved Builderman off as the short man quickly walked off to another pillar that was connected via a bridge.
Shedletsky waited by the Pillar, as he mindlessly stared at the sky. It was much prettier than most might expect it to be. Shedletsky turned his attention to where Builderman went when he suddenly heard a shout. It was too incomprehensible to understand what was being shouted but Shedletsky knew shouting was almost never a good thing.
Worried for his friend's well-being, Shedletsky decided to walk in Builderman's direction despite being told to stay put.
‐
“Are you crazy? Or has all the fight caught up to you? Telamon, no offense, but Roblox no longer has a place for you. You lost that right when he decided to disappear for months on end then left Shedletsky here in your place.” Shouted Builderman
The former admin in question looked unimpressed, in fact, he even looked bored.
“That's fine.” said Telamon “Telamon has no urge to work again anyway but what he wants is to see his creation. How has he been?” questioned Telamon as he smiled at Builderman.
Builderman scowled at Telamon.
“He's fine . There is no need for you to see him.” replied Builderman.
Telamon's mouth twitched slightly as he smiled at Builderman.
“But Telamon insists— what if he misses Telamon?”
“He doesn't remember you.” interjected Builderman.
Telamon looked at Builderman baffled.
“What do you mean–” started Telamon, who only stopped speaking when saw a figure behind Builderman.
“Shedletsky?” muttered Telamon
“What?” questioned Builderman as he turned around to see Shedletsky staring past him and at Telamon instead.
Shedletsky looked stunned. He wasn’t scared but he was definitely shaking.
“Shedletsky what are you doing here?” asked Builderman
Shedletsky opened his mouth for a moment to only close it again.
“Shedletsky.” snapped Builderman, causing Shedletsky to actually look at him this time.
“What are you doing here?” repeated Builderman again.
“Uh, I heard shouting.. and wanted to check in..on..” mumbled Shedletsky before he redirected his attention back to Telamon.
The god let out a chuckle at the sight.
“See? You say he doesn't remember Telamon when clearly he does.” laughed Telamon
Builderman sighed and simply shook his head.
“This doesn't count. You have this affect on a lot of robloxian's Telamon.”
Builderman suddenly turned to Shedletsky.
“Shedletsky you remember Telamon don't you?” inquired Builderman
Shedletsky looked at Builderman confused.
“I mean, I know him from people's stories.” answered Shedletsky
“But do you really remember him?”
Shedletsky scratched the back of his head awkwardly.
“Um…am I supposed to?”
There was a long pause that followed after Shedletsky spoke. Shedletsky looked between Builderman and the supposed Legend Telamon, who seemed to be in an unspoken debate.
Telamon frowned as he tilted his head in confusion.
“How strange.” stated Telamon
“Very strange..” mocked Builderman. Telamon shot a glare at Builderman which he easily ignored. “Well, if that's all you wanted then you should leave now, Telamon. You got the answer to your question.” insisted Builderman
Telamon huffed before he turned around, preparing to leave.
Shedletsky glanced between the two other admins in confusion before he stepped forward to Telamon.
“Wait!” blurted out Shedletsky, causing Telamon to turn to him. “Will…Will I ever see you again?” questioned Shedletsky. Shedletsky knew it was a stupid question, Shedletsky was a admin and Telamon was a literal god , he probably didn't have time for mortals like Shedletsky. That being said, Shedletsky couldn’t help the way his heart quicken in anticipation or the way his stomach churned as Telamon was about to leave.
Telamon gave Shedletsky a polite smile causing the other man to flush.
“Of course, simply call for Telamon and he shall come.” answered Telamon.
Before Shedletsky could even ask how to call Telamon, the god took off leaving nothing but air and feathers behind.
Shedletsky looked up at the sky as Telamon's figure got further and smaller while he gripped onto his stomach. Shedletsky only came back to his senses when he heard an awkward cough.
“Are you done?” asked Builderman
Shedletsky turned around and apologized profusely to Builderman.
“I'm sorry– this was probably a private conversation and I just walked all into it. I'm sorry Builderman.” apologized Shedletsky
Builderman shrugged slightly
“It's fine, it's not like the conversation was anything important.” Insisted Builderman. “But.. Shed, I ask that you don't get in contact with Telamon.” added Builderman
“What– Why?” argued Shedletsky
“You wouldn't– you just can't Shedletsky okay? I know that.. you may want to but Telamon is nothing but a menace by the end of day, plus he rarely answers my own calls so I doubt he may even answer yours.” explained Builderman
“Now come on, let's go back to HQ.”
Shedletsky opened his mouth to say something but found he wasn't sure what to say, so instead Shedletsky nodded his head and followed Builderman by to Roblox HQ.
‐
So after Shedletsky’s brain was filled with nothing but the thought of Telamon. Shedletsky badly wanted to quench his curiosity by talking with Telamon, but knowing his chances of actually being able to do so were low made him hesitant. The admin found himself staring at his computer as he bounced his leg, unsure what he should do.
If did call and nothing happened then there would be nothing to gain or lose but it he did call and Telamon actually appeared…
Shedletsky blinked at his monitor before pushing his chair away from the desk. He quickly glanced over the monitor and listened for any footsteps, once he heard nothing, Shedletsky took a deep breath.
“Telamon…?” called out Shedletsky
The admins office was silent as Shedletsky looked around expecting Telamon to appear literally anywhere but he didn't. Shedletsky waited a few more minutes but nothing happened. Shedletsky frowned, feeling as if he was played for a fool. Not wanting to feel any more embarrassed than he already did, Shedletsky went back to work.
The admin got about a minute into his work before stopping. Shedletsky looked around, suddenly feeling uneasy.
He was alone in his office, wasn't he?
Ignoring the feeling of unease, Shedletsky went back to look at his computer screen, only to notice that something was standing behind him. Shedletsky felt his Boden stiffen with fear as he felt a hand be placed on his shoulder. The admin clenched his fist as he resisted the urge to turn around.
“Shedletsky…”
Shedletsky turned around to voice and was greeted by a tall figure in a cloak. Shedletsky immediately passed out.
“...can't just barge in whenever you want to!”
“..didn't, Shedletsky called Telamon.”
Shedletsky woke up to the sound of people arguing. The admin slowly sat up from his desk, which he had no idea when he laid down , and turned to the two people talking. Both Builderman and Telamon turned in Shedletsky’s direction when they noticed he was awake.
“Oh thank Robloxia you're awake.” said Builderman as he walked over to Shedletsky.
“Are you okay?” questioned Builderman
Shedletsky nodded
“Yes, I'm fine, but what happened?” asked Shedletsky
Builderman sighed before he side eyed Telamon. “You got scared by Telamon and passed out.”replied Builderman
Shedletsky stared at Builderman blankly as he felt his face warm up.
“You're joking…” muttered Shedletsky as he covered his face with his hands
“No, I wish I was.” replied Builderman
Shedletsky uncovered his face and turned his attention to Telamon who looked all too happy to see Shedletsky.
“What are you so happy about?” questioned Shedletsky
Telamon’s wings fluttered as a small grin formed on his face.
“Nothing, it's just good to know that you called for Telamon.” answered Telamon
Shedletsky gave Telamon a confused expression before looking at Builderman again.
“What–?”
“Ignore him.” commented Builderman. Builderman eyes scanned over Shedletsky before the admin looked away with an uptight expression. “Since Telamon is here, Shedletsky, you should take some time off to talk with him.” instructed Builderman.
“Wait, What? But I still have work.” objected Shedletsky. “You're really gonna give me time off–”
Builderman interrupted him.
“This is what you want, right ?”
Shedletsky opened his mouth to deny Builderman's allegation, but it was true. A strange part of Shedletsky was practically dying to talk with Telamon and now he was here, he really didn't want to waste an opportunity like this.
Shedletsky nodded. “Yeah… this isn't gonna get me like.. fired in the future would it?” asked Shedletsky.
“Your boss is literally giving you time off.. Shedletsky hurry up and get out of here.”
Shedletsky didn't need to be told twice. He quickly got up from his desk and gave Builderman a quick thank you and a hug before rushing out of his office. Both Builderman and Telamon watched as the man frantically left.
“Telamon..” started Builderman. “You're just here to talk with Shedletsky, if you do anything that may possibly put him in danger.. I swear–” vowed Builderman
Telamon let out a chuckle.
“Relax Builder, Telamon wouldn't harm Shedletsky even if he wanted to.”
Builderman glared at Telamon as he walked to the door of the office. “Wait.” called out Builderman. “Don't tell him about 1x1x1x1.”
Telamon scowled at Builderman.
“As if that creature's name will ever leave my lips again..” Telamon left the office, slamming the door behind him.
Builderman just hoped that Shedletsky would stay blissfully unaware of what he's just gotten himself into.
‐
Shedletsky and Telamon walked in an awkward silence as Shedletsky looked for a good place to fight.
“Here is good.” announced Shedletsky, who stopped walking.
“Are you sure you want to do this? Builderman gave you time off to talk, not fight. He might be angry if he found out.” questioned Telamon.
Shedletsky waved his hand.
“It's fine, plus I do some of my best thinking when I'm fighting.”
Telamon titled his head at Shedletsky.
“Really?”
Shedletsky nodded.
“Yeah, now come on. I wanna be able to say I beat a god in a sword fight.” joked Shedletsky.
Telamon flashed Shedletsky a smirk before summoning a very basic looking sword while Shedletsky on the hand summoned Illumina. Telamon's wings twitched as he watched Shedletsky handle Illumina. A part of the god wanted to use Illumina's twin but alas that would lead to complications.
“Ready?” asked Telamon
Shedletsky nodded.
Shedletsky didn't expect Telamon to be such a good sword fighter. All of Telamon's swings were precise and left little to none room for counters, truthfully, Shedletsky was 100% sure that the only thing that kept him from being killed was that he knew how to block.
When Shedletsky was able to counter, all of his swings were either blocked or just flat out dodged. To make matters worse, Telamon practically egged Shedletsky on throughout their entire match.
“Come on, didn't you say you wanted to beat Telamon?” snickered Telamon.
Shedletsky thrust his sword forward only for it to get stopped by Telamon’s hand. Shedletsky froze as Telamon held onto the sword. Immediately Shedletsky tried to pull the sword back but Telamon's grip seemed stronger.
Telamon, noticing that Shedletsky had no defense, hit him with the bunt of his sword. Shedletsky immediately stumbled back, clutching onto his stomach in pain.
Shedletsky muttered a curse under his breath as he waited for the pain in his body to lighten. Shedletsky shot a glance at Telamon and saw that god looked..disappointed, hurt even.
“Are you okay?” asked Telamon
Shedletsky nodded his head.
“Yeah–” Shedletsky let out a gasp “I'm fine…” replied Shedletsky weakly
Telamon sighed as he stabbed his sword into the group. “That's enough for now. You've lost.” announced Telamon.
“What?” panted out Shedletsky.
“Relax Shedletsky, nothing was lost. Now let's talk shall we?”
Telamon smiled at Shedletsky politely as the admin looked at with a face full of many emotions.
“Okay.”
“Well, what are your questions?” asked Telamon as he leaned against his sword.
Shedletsky played with his fingers nervously.
“I don't have any questions, yet, but I want to get to know you more Telamon. Tell me about yourself.”
“Very well.” Started Telamon. There was a pause as Telamon thought about what to say.
“Telamon is a god who enjoys fighting, as you see, while Telamon has no title as a god, robloxians refer to him as the god of fighting even war sometimes.”
“War?” questioned Shedletsky
Telamon nodded his head. “You've heard about the great hacker purge, yes?”
Shedletsky's eyes immediately lit up.
“You mean the war that was fought against 1x1x1x1 right?!” exclaimed Shedletsky
Telamon's jaw tightened for a second before he nodded again.
“Yes, that's the one. Telamon was in it, it was because of that event that some robloxians refer to Telamon as a god of war.”
Shedletsky looked at Telamon with wonder in his eyes. “Can you tell me about your experience?” asked Shedletsky
Telamon let out a chuckle. “Maybe another day Shedletsky.”
Shedletsky frowned but quickly went back to smiling. “Do you mind telling me about your life before the war?”
Telamon was quiet for a moment before nodding.
“Very well but you may want sit down. This is a very long story…”
Shedletsky quickly ran through the field of tall grass as he glanced up at the sky then back in front of him. He wasn't supposed to be out this long but you can't blame him for wanting to have fun.
That being said, if Shedletsky didn't make it back in time then Telamon would definitely kill him.
Shedletsky's pace came to a halt as he reached a open area in the field. Shedletsky breathed heavily as he tried to catch his breathe.
“I'm– pant –back! pant 1x1x1x1 are you here?” called out Shedletsky.
“I'm always here.” spoke 1x1x1x1 making Shedletsky jump.
“Oh my Telamon! Can you please warn me next time?” complained Shedletsky
1x1x1x1 looked at Shedletsky, annoyed.
“You say that every time, now come here. You don't want Telamon to be mad, do you?”
Shedletsky pouted at 1x1x1x1 but did as told still. The brown hair robloxian quickly walked over to 1x and grabbed their hand.
“Ready?” asked 1x.
Shedletsky nodded.
Shedletsky, despite flying multiple times, couldn't get over the joy it brought him. Every time Shedletsky was in the sky he felt strangely free.
In the distance, Shedletsky saw as his house palace became more and more visible as they got closer. Anxiety ran through Shedletsky's body as it always did every time he came back home after sneaking out. He knew he probably shouldn't have been scared by how many times he's secretly snuck out but instead he found himself worried as usual.
“Home sweet home…” announced 1x1x1x1 as they put Shedletsky down.
“We need to find a better way to travel.” complained Shedletsky.
“You never say that when Telamon carries you.” mocked 1x1x1x1.
Shedletsky felt his face warm up.
“That's different– that's less weird because it's Telamon. It's awkward for us because we're the same height.” Insisted Shedletsky.
1x raised an eyebrow.
“We are not the same height.”
The two robloxians walked throughout the echoing halls to Shedletsky’s room in silence. Eventually 1x1x1x1 spoke.
“Why did you sneak out today, if I may ask.”
Shedletsky showed off the robe he's been holding. 1x1x1x1 looked confused.
“You bought a copy of Telamon’s robes?” They asked.
“No! I made these myself! I wanted to have something else to wear besides my basic robes I have now.” explained Shedletsky as he gestured to the robes he was currently wearing
1x1x1x1 let out a ‘ah’ sound.
“I see..but you look nice in your current robes.”
Shedletsky sighed as both him and 1x1x1x1 walked into his chamber. The robloxian flopped on his bed, defeated.
“Both you and Telamon always say the same thing.”
1x1x1x1 chuckled as they sat down next to Shedletsky.
“But it's true, you look good in all the clothes you wear.” complimented 1x1x1x1
“You're just saying that because you're my sibling. It's mandatory.” joked Shedletsky.
1x1x1x1 let out a dramatic gasp.
“Ouch, you wound me, Shedletsky.”
Shedletsky rolled his eyes as 1x1x1x1 dramatic gasp.
“Sure I do.”
1x1x1x1 laughed lightly before they seemed to look off in the distance quickly. Shedletsky immediately sat up and looked at them with worry.
“Are you leaving already?” asked Shedletsky.
1x nodded.
“Yes.” answered 1x1x1x1, who stood up from Shedletsky’s bed.
Shedletsky frowned. “I wish you could stay longer.”
1x1x1x1 gave Shedletsky a melancholy smile.
“If I could stay longer I would, but alas duty calls. Take care Shedletsky.”
“Bye 1x1x1x1.” said Shedletsky as he watched 1x1x1x1 disappear into one of the many shadows in his room. Shedletsky's room was filled with silence once 1x1x1x1 left, leaving Shedletsky thinking.
The robloxian looked over at his new robe for a moment before deciding to try it on.
Shedletsky looked at his reflection as he moved his body, checking out his robe. He made it in mind of Telamon’s with the concept of them matching. It took a lot of time and lies for Shedletsky to get this made but he was starting to think that it was worth it.
Shedletsky smiled happily as he checked out his reflection. The robloxian gave his robe a twirl, he hoped Telamon wouldn't mind the new sudden outfit.
“My my, what are you wearing?”
Shedletsky immediately jumped and turned around to see Telamon casually standing in his room's doorframe. Shedletsky blinked rapidly at Telamon.
“Uh, um– new robes?” explained Shedletsky
Telamon let out a hum.
“And where did you get them from?” asked Telamon
Shedletsky let out a nervous squeak. “Uh, they were a gift from 1x1x1x1.” lied Shedletsky.
Telamon raised an eyebrow.
“1x1x1x1 got you a gift?” questioned Telamon
“Yup!” answered Shedletsky quickly
Telamon moved from the door frame and walked over to Shedletsky. Shedletsky immediately thought he had been busted but instead Telamon just hugged him and let out a sigh.
“Tough day?” questioned Shedletsky
Telamon groaned
‘That's just half of it. These robloxians treat Telamon as if he knows the answer to all their problems.” complained Telamon. “Telamon does not know the secret to mastering growing crops…”
Shedletsky held in a laugh as he patted Telamon on the back.
“But you could.” joked Shedletsky.
Telamon pulled back Shedletsky wearing an exasperated expression.
“But Telamon does not want to!”
At this, Shedletsky burst out laughing at Telamon’s misery. Telamon would often complain about how mortals would act, stating that they either ask too much of him, or something that he can't even possibly do. Shedletsky always found it perplexing, not because it was actually confusing but because Shedletsky had such a different opinion about mortals.
Mortals only came to the gods not for absolute answers but just advice on how to make life easier one step at a time. They only asked “outrageous” questions because they assumed that someone who's lived a long time must have experienced everything but unfortunately for Telamon, such a statement isn't true.
“Come let's go eat.” said Shedletsky as he led Telamon out of his room.
Dinner was quiet, normally Shedletsky would pass the time by talking about his day or asking Telamon about his but today Shedletsky found himself quiet. Ever since Shedletsky had visited the mortals below, he's been fascinated with them, how they live, how they learn… it all was so different from Shedletsky’s life. Shedletsky had been trying to find a way to ask Telamon if he could travel down to visit the mortals but everytime he found himself nervous.
“Telamon, may I ask you a question?” asked Shedletsky
Telamon looked up from his plate, nodding at Shedletsky. The brown haired robloixian took a deep breath, it was now or never..
“Could I.. Could I possibly leave the heights to visit the mortals below?” asked Shedletsky quietly.
Telamon immediately stopped chewing his food in favor of staring at Shedletsky. Shedletsky swallowed a lump in throat as he watched Telamon wipe off his mouth and take a drink from his cup.
“What brought up this idea?” questioned Telamon.
Shedletsky frowned slightly.
“It’s just.. I’m always stuck up by myself and I want to see what's out there. Telamon please-” begged Shedletsky
“No.” interrupted Telamon.
Shedletsky looked at Telamon with such a hurt expression.
“Why?” whined Shedletsky
Telamon huffed as he rubbed his forehead.
“Telamon has already told you why you can’t visit before.”
Shedletsky sighed as Telamon began to restate the same explanation he’s been saying for the past thirty years.
“Mortals are unpredictable and dangerous, you shouldn’t want to socialize with people. It’s for your own safety.” spoke both Telamon and Shedletsky in unison.
Telamon glared at Shedletsky and immediately Shedletsky looked away angrily.
“Shedletsky, I know it doesn’t feel like it, but being here is for your own good.” assured Telamon
“Well it doesn’t feel like it!” shouted Shedletsky. “I feel like I’m a prisoner in my own house!” huffed out Shedletsky.
Telamon looked at Shedletsky with narrow eyes, he understood Shedletsky’s longing to see the outside world but he also didn’t understand its dangers either. Telamon opened his mouth to give Shedletsky an apology but before he could the brown haired robloixan stood up from the table.
“I’m done eating.. now if you’ll excuse me..” mumbled Shedletsky as he walked away, leaving Telamon by himself.
Telamon sighed once Shedletsky left the room.
“1x1x1x1.” called out Telamon
Immediately, the 1x1x1x1 appeared by Telamon’s side.
“You’ve called for me?”
“How has Shedletsky been? Has he caught up on his studying?” asked Telamon
1x1x1x1 nodded. “Yes, it seems that he’s become quite the scholar in your absence. Though I must ask, why refuse Shedletsky’s request to visit mortals?” questioned 1x.
Telamon glared at 1x1x1x1.
“You of all people should know why, 1x.” hissed out Telamon
1x1x1x1 smiled slightly.
“Apologies, I forgot how much this topic upset you Telamon.” 1x1x1x1 sat down in a seat next to Telamon. “Did you tell Shedletsky about the upcoming festival yet?”
Telamon groaned as he rubbed his forehead.
“No.. No, why would Telamon tell him? If Telamon told him then Shedletsky would only want to leave more.”
1x1x1x1 titled his head.
“Why don’t you tell him? If you do then it’s a win for both of you. Shedletsky gets to be out of his home bound prison and you get to be by his side.” suggested 1x1x1x1.
Telamon side-eyed 1x1x1x1 before standing up from the table.
“Telamon will sleep on it, but do expect me to agree with you on this.”
“I’m not expecting you to. Sleep well Telamon.” 1x1x1x1 bowed to Telamon before fading into his shadow.
Shedletsky’s footsteps echoed through his room as he paced back and forth. He could not fathom why Telamon was afraid of him leaving, it is not like he hasn’t done it before. Shedletsky has left multiple times before and nothing bad has ever happened to him before. Did Telamon think he was too weak to be on his own?
Shedletsky took a deep breath as he slowly sat down on his bed.
Shedletsky knew he shouldn't have been mad at Telamon, Telamon was just worried about him and that made sense. After all nobody even knew of his existence except for a few gods and of course 1x. Once he finally tired himself out, Shedletsky decided to finally lay down for the night.
Shedletsky stared outside his window from his bed as he felt his eyes become heavy, then he passed out.
“...letsky…”
Shedletsky tugged his bedsheets up over his head as a pestering noise threatened to wake him.
“...Shedletsky.” whispered a voice.
Shedletsky groggily rubbed his eyes as he sat up slowly. Immediately smacked his face against someone. “Ow…” winced Shedletsky, at this point Shedletsky opened his eyes as was greeted by Telamon’s form leaning over him.
“Telamon…” Shedletsky glanced at out window and still saw that it was dark, “What are you doing in my room?” croaked Shedletsky.
“Telamon wanted to apologize for our conversation earlier… I was..” Telamon trailed off.
Shedletsky smiled lightly at Telamon.
“It’s okay, I’m not mad. At least not too mad.” stated Shedletsky
“Is there any way Telamon can make it up to you?” asked Telamon
Shedletsky let out a light hum as he closed his eyes for a moment.
“You can let me leave the heights for a day…or get out of my chamber.”
Telamon blinked at Shedletsky repeatedly.
“Are you-”
Shedletsky laughed lowly.
“I’m joking Telamon.” assured Shedletsky as the god started to look hurt by his words.
Shedletsky leaned back in his bed feeling drowsiness slowly rush over him again.
“I just wished you would trust me more Telamon.” admitted Shedletsky. “I'm not some small child you have to be worried about, I'm your successor. Remember?”
“I would at least appreciate it if you treated me as such..” muttered Shedletsky.
Telamon looked at Shedletsky with scrunched eyebrows and for a brief second, Shedletsky thought Telamon was going to go into another long lecture. That is until Telamon leaned forward and–
“Wait, why did you stop talking?” Asked Shedletsky who had been snapped out of his thoughts once Telamon stopped talking.
“It's getting late, you should head home.” stated Telamon.
Shedletsky was about to protest when he looked at the sky and realized that it was in fact getting late. The sun was once above had begun to set, turning the sky into a dark shade of magenta.
“Wow, I didn't know time had passed so quickly. Can we continue this story tomorrow?” asked Shedletsky
Telamon nodded as a smile crept onto his face.
“Sure, till then Shedletsky.”
The admin watched as Shedletsky took off again, disappearing into the horizon.
Shedletsky’s drive home felt like a blur. It took so much concentration from Shedletsky to keep himself focused and not be drawn back into the tale Telamon had told him.
It was so strange hearing a tale from a god, it felt so fake yet so real. Shedletsky had felt bad at certain parts during the story , not because he related to them but because it seemed like a sensitive topic for Telamon. When Telamon would talk about a certain person in his story, his face would become tense as if this person hurt him.
When Shedletsky asked who this mysterious person was, Telamon simply said it was an old friend.
Shedletsky doubted it was just a old friend, Telamon talked too.. passionately about this “friend”.
