“Good job, Kimhant,” the words echo in Kim's head in Korn’s voice.
He wants to light a cigarette right here, but time is a real bitch, and Kim has none of it.
Just as he can't afford to leave any traces or let P’Chan discover him inside the compound.
Kim looks at his father one last time: the bullet to the head left him no chance. Kim walks out.
He feels even more like a stranger in the compound, weaving through the corridors to make his path harder to track.
In his mind, a silent countdown ticks.
Right now, the most important thing is not running into any staff. To disappear as if he was never here.
In one of the blind spots, he changes into clean clothes and hides on little time. The rest isn’t his concern, but if he gets caught… no traces of gunpowder. Though who would suspect Kim first?
Who would suspect Korn’s children?
Maybe he would have, in their place. But internally and externally, their family dynamics differ. Sometimes radically.
Outwardly, the picture could be that of an imperfect but loving family. A good-natured father who easily let his youngest son sail off freely, and forgives the eldest any whims and tantrums. Because he loves them unconditionally, even if his children don’t meet his expectations.
And what truly happens behind the scenes… Kim knows he would never admit it to anyone, not wanting to harm the Family.
“Good job, Father,” Kim laughs at his own thoughts. Seems they grew into exactly what Korn wanted them to be, despite all their attempts to avoid it.
