Chapter Text
Steve invited Nancy over to his house for a little hangout with his friends; Tommy and Carol.
Steve brought out the drinks and they were enjoying themselves, laughing and having fun. Barb sitting depressed in the corner while Nancy stole glances, guiltily.
Tommy picked his girlfriend up and threw her into the pool with a loud obnoxious laugh as he jumped in after her which made Steve laughed as he turned around to Nancy who was turned away from the pool getting another beer as she felt arms sling around her waist as she was lifted off the ground and tossed into the pool, Steve joining slowly after.
…
They emerged from the pool all laughing as Nancy punched Steve but without any bite behind it but then she noticed the lights on in Steve’s house, but Steve’s parents weren't home? There were also more decorations and Barb was gone?
“Where is Barb?” Nancy asked as she looked around.
Steve looked around and when his eyes landed on his house, his eyes shot open in shock.
“What the fuck? WHo is in my house? I don’t have these decorations?”
“Guys? Wasn’t the moon over there when we got here and now it's there?” Carol pointed out as she pointed in front of them where the moon was originally and turned around to point at the moon that was now on the opposite side of the sky.
They all turned to the door of the house as four teens exited the house.
“Did you have other people over?” Carol asked.
“Did you invite more people?” Tommy asked at the same time as Carol and they giggled at each other.
“...No…” Steve asked as he stood up, raising an eyebrow, confused.
The teens ran towards them and as they came into the light of the glowing pool Nancy knew who she was looking at.
“MIKE?!” She yelled as she looked at a taller, longer haired Mike.
“Who?” Carol asked.
“My little brother.”
“He doesn't look like that little, girl.” Carol joked but Nancy just looks at her seriously.
When she looked back at the rest of the boys she recognized them as well.
“Mike, Lucas, Dustin- WILL?!”
Will looked taken aback by his name being shouted.
“Why is she surprised?” Will asked looking at Mike then looking back at them, all of them and especially Steve.
“Steve?” Dustin questioned.
Steve just looked more confused. “Do I know you?”
Dustin looked taken aback. “Bro…what year is it for you?” Dustin asked with wide eyes.
“1983, why?”
The four teens' mouths dropped and then the door to the house opened again.
“What did I tell you guys about late night swim sessions?” a male voice said exhausted as a man exits the house, curly dark brown hair with a leather jacket that shined slightly in the light from the house as he approached the pool.
“Who is that?!” Steve yelled.
The man was taken aback but then realized what was happening then smiled as he crouched down next to their new arrivals.
“Dusty-bun, go get some towels. So~ Stevie are you currently with Nancy? And why are you with Perkins and Hagen?”
“Yes I’m currently with Nance? Why does that mat-”
That's when they all recognised him.
“FREAK?!” They all yelled (-Nance).
Eddie’s smile grew wider. “The one and only!”
“What is this long haired freak doing in your house Steve!”
“He lives here.” Dustin said as he came back with 4 towels and tossed them to the 4.
“Thanks…” Steve and Nancy thanked to which Dustin smiled like he just got complimented by his idol.
“So… Uh-... You’re Mike?” Nance asked.
“Yep… but considering you said you're from 1983 then you know the younger me.”
“What does that mean? What year is it?” Steve asked, to which Eddie responded.
“1988.”
“...What?”
“Huh?”
“Thats not possible though?!” Steve yelled.
“I forgot you didn't hunt back then. Whatever. Kids, either go to bed or go to your rooms and be quiet, your mom has a headache. We’ll deal with this upside-down shit tomorrow.” Eddie said, standing up and turning around to four upset complaining kids.
“But whyyyyyy?” Dustin asked with a groan.
“You aren’t our parents!” Lucas yelled, to which Eddie placed his hands on his hips and gave him an unimpressed look. “...Sorry, dad…”
“Can me and Will play on the nintendo?” Mike asked with a smile.
“Sure, as long as you aren’t loud, like I said. Your ‘mom’ has a headache.” Eddie said, giggling when he said mom, the others giggling when he giggled.
“Is mom here?” Nancy asked.
The others looked at her before heading inside and laughed.
“No, she’s not. Come inside kids, warm up.” Eddie said.
The others did exactly that without thinking, they hadn’t noticed how cold they were until they got inside, Eddie jumped onto the 3rd step then turned around.
“Go with the boys, they’ll show you where to sleep tonight.” Eddie instructed before skipping up the stairs.
Steve gave a conflicted look. His room was upstairs?
1. Why is he going upstairs?
2. Why can’t he sleep in his room?
Whatever. He’ll go with the others. They headed down the hall to where the guest room was but Nance and Steve were stopped which caused the other two who were in the room to leave confused.
“Sorry, 2 people per room. It’s a rule.” Mike said with a shrug.
Tommy didn’t like that.
“Who do you think you are? Telling us what to do. This is Steve’s house!” He said getting close to Mike and grabbing him by his shirt.
Tommy was suddenly flung back and restrained to the wall, groaning like he was in pain.
Will emerged from the room and stared angrily at Tommy which stunned everyone (Mostly the powers). Mike approached after giving a happy smile to Will who returned it before they both turned to Tommy.
“Because Steve was the one to create this rule. Trust me you do not want to deal with our Steve right now.” Mike said with a giggle before Will threw Tommy into the guest room and threw Carol in there and closed the door then turned to Steve and Nancy who were just utterly shocked.
“WHAT THE FU-” Steve yelled before Mike put his hand over his mouth.
“SHHH! Mom has a headache.”
“Who is mom?” Nancy asked.
“You know what? Nah, you can wait to find out who mom is.” Will joked.
“Where am I?” Nance asked.
“With Jo-” Will got his mouth covered by Mike.
“Out. Out with friends.” Mike laughed guiltily. “Aaaaaanyway,I’ll lead yall to the couch!”
Mike and WIll showed them to the couch, which was comically large and new, and the 2 laid down and grabbed 2 blankets that were on the back of the couch and laid them over themselves, utterly exhausted, Will and Mike looked at each other and breathily laughed as they looked back to the 2 already asleep.
