Summary
Sam Winchester wanted one thing out of junior year: a normal season.
Stable heart. Strong team. No visions, no static, no shadows bending where they shouldn’t. And maybe, just maybe, the space to breathe before Jake, Connor, and Ryan graduated and left him as the last onestanding.
He almost got it.
But the supernatural didn’t stay quiet, and the secrets Sam had buried threatened to slip into daylight. Recruiting pressure mounted. Scouts circled. Expectations tightened. And something inside him, something that almost took him out last year, kept growing sharper by the week.
He tried to hold the year together. He tried to focus on soccer and school and the future everyone insisted he was ready for. But the deeper the season went, the harder it became to pretend the cracks weren’t spreading: in him, in the team, in the world he’d fought so hard to keep ordinary.
And when the moment finally came, when the truth stepped into the light and called his name, Sam understood one thing: junior year wasn’t going to let him hide anymore.
