Summary:

Rewind tells Chromedome about all the minutiae of Hanukkah's history and traditions.

Notes:

While I would totally have written out Rewind's whole infodump, I do not have the energy at the moment lol
It feels so weird writing fluff of these two bc I have a Secret WIP that's pure Rewind angst all the way down...

"Memory is an important part of this holiday," Rewind explained to his conjunx. "The humans not only tell the story, but keep parts of it alive through the traditions- for example, when Magnus explained that the menorah Rodimus was lighting was actually a hanukkiah. The actual menorahs had only six branches, but- I'm boring you, aren't I?"

"No, no, keep explaining," Chromedome said. "I'm learning a lot!"

"Alright, then. So, the actual menorahs only had six branches- an eight-branched menorah is a hanukkiah because it's specifically to commemorate the miracle of Hanukkah-"

"-and that's why the humans fry their food for this holiday."

"Maybe you should be the ship's resident human expert, rather than Swerve," Chromedome joked.

"No, he knows and understands the pop culture better. I know and understand the rest of it. We can share the title!"
