Chapter Text
The first thing Noah noticed was that his head was pounding. It was funny, because he didn't remember drinking yesterday. He wasn't one for drinking much.
Someone was shouting, but Noah's brain was buzzing. What was happening? He could feel some wetness under his nose and almost metal taste in his mouth. Was he bleeding? He hoped not. He lift his hand to wipe the blood.
As he opened eyes, what hit him was not what he expected. It was fimilar place, but he couldn't figure out why he was here. That was one of the sets. Actually it was the military set. They spent a bit time here, and he did the cool “Will has powers" thing. It was dark, and he felt so tired.
“…Will!" shouted a voice. Voice he'd known for nine years actually. Finn was running towards him. But why he was calling him Will? Was the scene not done? But the last shooting wrapped weeks ago. Now it was more of “wait and see what will happen inn the editors boot” stage. So why he was here? He tried to stand up.
Noah's stomach disagree with that plan, and he had to put his hands back down to the floor. It was nicely cold. Grounding.
“Will!" shouted again Finn. God, that was loud. Noah flinched at the loud noice. Finn noticed and he stopped shouting, now finnaly reaching him. He sat down, reacing his hand and carefully holding Noah's shoulder.
All Noah could do was to collapse into him. Oh, that was embarrassing. What was wrong with him? Why he felt as if he was eaten by a tiger and then spat out?
“Sorry," Noah whispered.
“No, no, don't be sorry. You did it. You really did it." Finn pulled him into hug. Noah couldn't find himself to care, as Finn was warm, and his own head was heavy.
“Oh, baby.” Noah tried to lift his head, but it didn't really work. So he just turned slightly and now he was staring into Winona eyes. “I don't understand. How did you…?”
“He's a sorcerer. A real-life, honest-to-God sorcerer,” Finn said, as if that explained anything. Noah tried to remember what he was supposed to say. He forgot his line which, in the state he was in, made sense .
“I'm sorry I…” Noah forced the words out.
“No, baby don't be sorry, it's alright.” Winona gently pulled him from Finn into her lap.
Noah felt like crying. Why he felt like that? He just forgot his line, that wasn't that big of a deal. It happened often enough, and it was never ended badly.
“I don't feel good.” He buried his head into her shoulder. It didn't help with the headache or with the buzzing a bit.
Winona's shirt was getting wet, but she didn't seem to care. She only hugged him tighter, brushing his back.
“You are safe now. Nothing to worry about. We just need to get back and everything...” her voice was getting lighter and lighter as Noah slipped into light sleep.
