Morph in dresses

Summary:

Morph starts wearing dresses and Logan thinks Morph looks very pretty in dresses

Work Text:

Tonight the X-Men had to go to a gala. Wolverine hated these things, but the Professor had insisted it was important for everyone to attend. Emma Frost was organizing it, something about charity. The point was, it was an opportunity for the X-Men to make a good impression. Wolverine's only consolation was that Morph was going to be there too. They'd probably make fun of how ridiculous they all looked in their fancy suits.

Logan was walking down the hallway when he heard the shapeshifter's voice.

"Wolverine!" Morph was peeking out of their bedroom door and gestured for him to come closer.

"Is something wrong, Bub?" Logan asked, entering the room.

"I wanted your opinion on my outfit," Morph said, sounding nervous.

"Don't you want to ask Jubilee or Jean about it?"

"I didn't want to ask them." Morph, black with a headband, said, “You’re going to be honest.”

Logan sighed. He didn’t understand why Morph was asking for his opinion if they was going to wear their usual suit. “Fine.”

“I’ll only be a second,” the shapeshifter said, entering the bathroom.

Logan leaned against the wall. After a moment, Morph emerged wearing a formal gown. It was a turquoise dress with sparkles, and it hugged Morph’s body. They were also wearing lipstick and a little eyeshadow. Logan’s breath caught in his throat.

“I wanted to try something new, to wear dresses like myself and not just when I transform into someone else,” Morph explained, touching the fabric of the dress without looking directly at Logan. “Do I look ridiculous?”

“No, no, of course not. You look… the opposite of ridiculous.”

“Always so good with words, huh, Wolverine?” Morph joked with a small smile.

“You look good.”

“Do you really think so?” Morph's cheeks began to flush slightly.

Morph looked fantastic, beautiful, incredible. But Logan couldn't find the words. "You said it, I'm honest."

During the gala, Logan cared about only one person. He didn't care what Emma was wearing, the other guests, or if there were reporters. All Wolverine could think about was how beautiful Morph looked in that dress. Logan didn't take his eyes off Morph the entire time they were at the party, even when Morph went to chat and have fun with the others on the dance floor while Logan stayed at the bar drinking.

"They look good, don't they?" Gambit said, joining him.

"Who?" Logan glanced at him sideways.

“I don’t know, the person you’re looking at,” Gambit shuffled cards in his hand, but his gaze was fixed on Logan.

“I’m not looking at anyone, I’m just bored. I want to leave.”

Gambit smiled, amused. “Whatever you say, Mon Ami. I’m going to see if Rogue wants to dance with me… if she says no, I’ll ask Morph.”

Gambit glanced at him as he left, Logan’s frown not subtle.

Wolverine, who lingered there a moment longer before heading towards the dance floor, was smiled by Morph as he approached.

“You’re having a good time,” Logan said, more as a statement than a question.

“With giant robots and fights, it’s not every day you get to go to a party like this,” Morph said.

Logan looked around and then at the ground, unsure what to say. The logical thing would have been to ask Morph to dance, but no words came out of his mouth.

Morph seemed to realize that Logan wanted to say something, but they didn’t know exactly what. “Do you want to go get some fresh air outside? I think I could use a break.”

Logan nodded, and the two went to the gate leading to the garden. There was a cement path with pillars. It was night, but it wasn't cold. Logan thought the stars in the sky resembled the sparkles on Morph's dress.

Morph crouched down to sit on the edge of the cemeny.

“Are you going to sit on the ground?” Logan asked.

“What's wrong with that?”

“You’re going to get your dress dirty.” Logan took off his suit jacket and placed it on the floor before sitting down next to it.

Morph stared at him in astonishment for a few seconds before bursting into laughter and sitting down on top of the jacket. “I didn’t know Wolverine was a gentleman,”

They both remained silent for a moment. The party music played softly behind them. Morph moved a little closer, their shoulder touching Logan’s.

“I know you don’t like parties, but I’m glad you came to this one. I know it’s a little silly, but having you here makes me feel safe. If someone said anything bad about me because of how I’m dressed, I know you’d bring out your claws to defend me.”

Logan looked at them with a gentle expression he rarely gave to anyone, a small but trusting gesture. Logan could let his guard down with Morph. But also, Morph looked so beautiful, like a precious stone. There was no way Logan could look at them without smiling.

“This party isn’t so bad.”.

Wolverine didn't like shopping, but he needed some spare parts for his car, and since he was already out, he decided to pick up other things, like a six-pack of beer or some snacks. Logan stopped in front of a store for a moment. In the window, one of the mannequins was wearing a yellow dress. It reached her knees, had yellow buttons at the top, a sweetheart neckline, and thin straps.

Logan thought it would look good in Morph. But then he shook his head, as if that would clear his thoughts, and started walking again. He only took a couple of steps before turning back and going into the store.

-
Logan gently knocked on Morph's bedroom door. They opened it almost immediately and smiled when they saw who it was.

"I bought you something," Logan said, handing Morph a bag with a box inside as he entered the room.

"A gift? But what's the special occasion?" Morph received the bag and took out the box, placing it on the bed.

Wolverine shrugged. "I just thought of you when I saw it."

Morph opened the box to find the yellow dress folded inside. They carefully removed the dress, examining it before turning back to Logan with a surprised expression.

"You said you wanted to wear dresses, but you haven't worn another one since the gala," Logan said.

Morph gave Wolverine a tight hug. Wolverine could barely return it before Morph pulled away, and for a moment their faces were quite close.

"Thanks, Logan," Morph said, with a big, genuine smile.

"It's nothing," Logan shrugged and started to leave the room.

"No, wait! Stay!" Morph grabbed Wolverine's arm. "I'm going to try on the dress now, so you can tell me how I look!"

Logan couldn't answer before Morph ran to the bathroom to change, so he just stood there with his hands in his pockets. When Morph came back out wearing the dress, Logan thought it looked perfect on them, especially because of the smile on their face.

"I think it looks pretty good on me, don't you?" Morph twirled slightly, making the skirt of the dress sway. “I think it would look nice to wear it in my human form with a headband of the same color.”

Logan just nodded. He usually had no problem flirting or complimenting people, so he didn't know why it was so difficult to tell Morph how stunning they looked, like a buttercup flower.

“When I go to the mall with Jubilee, I'll buy you another shirt, one that's yellow or red,” Morph said.

“You don't have to do that.”

“You didn't have to buy me a dress either.”

“I like seeing you happy.”

Morph's cheeks flushed. “Oh.”

“I have to go. It's my turn to occupy the danger room.” Logan gestured with his hand before starting to walk toward the door. He could feel himself blushing too, and it wasn't a feeling he was used to.

“Logan,” Morph called as he left the room, standing in the doorway. “Thanks for the new dress.”

Wolverine just nodded before leaving.

Morph and Jubilee had gone shopping and returned with several bags, most of them belonging to the girl. They were going to have a small party at the mansion for the school's anniversary, and Jubilee insisted she needed new shoes and something nice to wear.

The young mutant tried to show Logan what she had bought, but the man didn't seem very interested.

"Why don't you show Storm and Jean what you bought? I'm sure they'll love seeing it," Morph said, putting a hand on the teenager's shoulder.

Jubilee ran out of the living room to find the other women, leaving Logan and Morph alone. The shapeshifter handed one of the bags to Wolverine.

From it, Logan took out a blue shirt.

"I also bought a dress for myself. The color is similar, so we can mach" Morph explained, but he got a little nervous when they saw that Logan wasn't saying anything about the gift. "The receipt is in the bag if you want to change it."

"No, no, I like it." Logan felt the fabric of the shirt.

"I'm glad." Morph smiled at him before leaving, heading upstairs.

Logan felt a little disappointed that Morph hadn't asked him to see them in the dress for his opinion like they had before, but he figured morph already had Jubilee's opinion. Besides, he'd see them in the dress in a few days at the party.

Wolverine was waiting for Morph outside their room. The door was closed, but Logan could smell Morph inside. He wasn't going to knock; he already knew Morph was changing. Logan himself was wearing his new shirt. In fact, he didn't have to wait for Morph, but he was very eager to see them in the dress.

The door opened, and Logan immediately looked up. Morph was wearing a dark blue dress with sleeves. Logan thought Morph looked very elegant.

The mutant seemed surprised to see him before smiling. "The shirt looks great on you."

"Thanks," was all Logan said before the two of them went off to join the others.

For a couple of hours, the whole team had fun, dancing, eating, and laughing together. When it got darker, Logan and Morph went outside, both leaning against one of the school walls. Logan was laughing at one of Morph's jokes, as usual, when he realized how close they were, how beautiful Morph was up close.

"I didn't tell you before, but this dress… It's very pretty," Logan said, almost whispering.

"Just the dress?" Morph replied softly.

"You're very pretty."

Morph moved closer. "Is this okay, Logan?"

Wolverine couldn't resist any longer and pressed his lips to Morph's in a passionate kiss. Morph's arms wrapped around his shoulders, returning the kiss. Logan placed his hands on Morph's waist, and in a moment, their mouths still locked, Logan lifted Morph slightly, spinning them both around.

Morph started laughing when they broke apart.

"Are you okay? What's so funny?" Logan caught his breath after the kiss.

“I’m just so happy,” Morph explained. “I’ve seen how you look at me, Logan, but I was afraid it was just my hope that you felt the same way.”

Logan caressed Morph’s face with his fingers. “I don’t think there’s any other way I can look at you… you’re everything.”

Morph blushed and looked away. “I don’t know what to say when you get all romantic.”

“You can just kiss me.”

Morph smiled at him before their lips met again in a shorter kiss this time.

“I’ll be a great boyfriend. I’ll Buy all the dresses you want, and I’ll tell you how beautiful you look every time,” Logan murmured against Morph’s lips.

“You don’t have to try to convince me. You’ve already got me crazy about you.” They stayed like that for a few seconds, simply looking into each other’s eyes. “Logan.”

“Yes?”

“Would you like to see what I look like without the dress?”

"I'd love to."

And between kisses, they went to his room.
