Work Text:
The Garden of Eden, or as many like to call it… Paradise.
It was a realm, crafted by God who worked for 6 days straight
so his new project, Humanity, could begin and that the humans would have somewhere to live and develop.
God created the first two humans, Lucifer, the first Man, Father of Humanity, And Eve, the first Woman, Mother of Humanity.
Created from the dust of the Earth, they were the perfect match, he called it, As they were made to be equals.
Lucifer was a short pale man, with shiny blond curly Hair and ocean blue eyes, meanwhile Eve was a tall tan Woman, with long blonde fluffy Hair and emerald green eyes.
Since their creation, They have been given only one Rule;
“Do not eat from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, or you’ll die.”
And thus, they have been released Into the Garden, to do as they please, As long as they follow the one rule.
And Eve was perfectly fine with what they have been given, caring for and Naming The animals in the garden happily, as well as enjoying the countless fruits they have been granted, excited to share this with her Husband.
However, Lucifer was the opposite.
He was left unsatisfied, as he constantly yearned for more.
He wanted to learn, wanted to explore!
He was rebellious, refused to obey, and this difference caused many conflicts and arguments between the couple.
One day, an argument escalated and Lucifer fled from Eve, Disappearing into the thick forest of Eden.
he ran until he approached an all too familiar tree stump, He would always come by here to cool down after whatever he and eve argued about.
It was just so difficult to get anything through her head; Lucifer thought.
He tried to communicate with her countless times, but it never worked, she never understood.
He sat on top of the stump and buried his face In his hands, Frustrated tears streaming down his face, no matter how hard he wiped his eyes, it couldn’t stop his sadness from flowing out.
The air around him was cool, usually comforting him in his rough days,
but it brought no comfort this time.
That is until, He felt a shift in the atmosphere,
the air become noticeably more warm, and he heard faint; almost absent footsteps approaching.
sensing a figure in-front of him, he lifted his head slowly, confirming his suspicions.
In-front of him stood a tall lady with violet eyes and long, straight blonde hair that was shaped like a waterfall, A halo Glowing brightly Above her head,
Her skin was as pale as snow, and she wore a long, white robe that flared at the sleeves and brushed the floor, its edges fading into a soft Purple glow. A slim, star-shaped marking rested at her collar, glowing the same rich purple as the trim along her sleeves and hem. Her back filled with six, neatly tucked away wings.
the wings were a lilac shade of purple, edged in a bold white border.
An Angel, He assumed she was,
Yet he never saw any that looked this fabulous. Her presence gave him a certain feeling he never got when he was with Eve.

Lilith, The archangel of Joy and Creation, also viewed as Heaven’s troublemaker, has overheard Lucifer cries, and being the rebellious soul She is, flew down to confront the saddened human, despite it being against the rules.
Rules she gave no care about however, as she approached the man slowly, staring down at him with a soft and calm expression, watching as he slowly lifted his head.
He looked so miserable, it made Lilith’s heart ache. She always knew it wasn’t right to suppress such creative beings like him, she never understood why the higher ups wanted to take away that freedom…
but sadly she couldn’t do anything about it, as no one up in heaven ever listened to her, they always just waved her off no matter what idea or concern she had, viewing her as childish… well that would soon change, Lilith swore to herself.
“Fear Not, Dear Human. For I wish to bring no Harm upon you.”
She reassured quietly, reaching down to gently grab Lucifer’s chin, wiping away his tears with her thumb.
“Tell me, what is the reason behind your weeping?”
Lucifer just sniffed, and he couldn’t help but lean into the beautiful Angel’s touch, her touch was so comforting it even surprised him, but he supposed that was normal, she is an angel, after all, angels are supposed to be calming.
“Since Creation, we have been given everything one might desire, yet I’m left unsatisfied.
I yearn to learn, I yearn to explore, however my wishes fall on Deaf ears.
my wife, she doesn’t agree with me, she thinks It’s selfish I want more, selfish that I refuse to obey.”
He explains with a soft sigh, looking up at Lilith with tired eyes.
Lilith only hums in response, letting go of the man’s chin slowly, and staring down at him with a soft yet curious expression.
“If you wish to learn, why not eat from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil?”
Lilith asks the blonde, tilting her head ever so slightly.
“I mustn’t.”
Lucifer replied, sitting up straight after she has taken her hand away, and lucifer couldn’t help but miss her touch, nonetheless he kept speaking, keeping his voice steady
“For God has forbidden us.
He told me and Eve, eating from The tree will bring Death upon us.”
Lilith could only chuckle In amusement at the human’s words, her laugh sending butterflies to Lucifer’s stomach, god he wished to hear her laugh again.
“You will not die if you eat from the tree, my dear. God simply said that so you Obey .
One bite of the Apple of Knowledge, and you will be granted everything you desire. You will learn, you will evolve, and you will be able to explore. Is that not what you wish for?”
She explains, voice smooth in a way that made lucifer’s cheeks flush.
Lucifer blinked before he quickly stood up at the Angel’s words, staring at her with curiosity.
“That is what I wish for, correct. But how are you so sure about what you’re saying?”
He questions cautiously, uncertain but interested.
“Because, Lucifer. I have eaten from the tree myself, in-fact, every angel has, even God himself.
He simply fears the thought of his new creations going rogue, therefore they have forbidden your access of knowledge.”
Lilith explains, her smile never leaving her as she eyed The Man in-front of her. She couldn’t help but think he was cute in a way that made her cheeks every so faintly flush;
he looked nothing like what humans were supposed to, but maybe that’s why he was also so special from God’s other creations. He was charming yet adorably stupid looking. And now she was definitely interested in him, even more than before.
she needed him for her plan, sure, but why not humour him a little?
She broke out of her thoughts and spoke again.
“But fear not, for I can grant you access to the knowledge you so desire, if you’re willing to trust me, but it’s going to have to wait.”
She offers pridefully, holding out her hand to the Human.
“For now, let’s get to know each other a bit, hm?”
Lucifer narrows his eyes with uncertainty, should he really just trust an angel he just met? Does he even have any proof she’s being truthful?… fuck it, they are pure beings, they mean no harm. And if it meant he could get closer to this particular angel, well count him in!
He hesitated before taking Lilith’s hand.
giving a small smile, he Responds;
“Alright, I trust you.”
And so they talked, and after many days and nights, Lucifer finally confessed to Lilith about how he came to feel about her, even if he had a harder time accepting it, and Lilith happily accepted the confession, even if hesitant.
So with that, the two began dating and Lilith decided to include lucifer in on her plan, instead of keeping him in the dark, after all— now that they were together, it felt wrong. The poor man had been through much already.
Not long after, Lilith finally brought lucifer to the tree of knowledge like she promised, and lucifer happily ate from the delicious fruit.
even if he had no reason to trust anything the angel said to him, he felt strangely compelled to.
But… She was the first woman to ever understand him and his needs, so how could he not trust her? He’d give up everything for her.
Lilith watched him intensely while he ate, with an unreadable smile.
Great, things were going according to plan, soon humanity would be finally free from God’s control; Lilith thought.
She couldn’t wait to finally help humans, if only god allowed her to help when they were originally being created, things would’ve been so different.
________________________
Lucifer and Lilith have not been seen anywhere since that event, and that absence didn’t go unnoticed by God and the angels, but with no way of knowing where the two truly could be, and seeing the first woman get more and more lonely in the past week, the angels decided to give up trying to find the two.
it could wait, they thought, for now they needed to take care of the woman, and that would’ve meant making a new husband for her.
So one night, when she was fast asleep, the angels took one of her ribs and with that a second man was made, named Adam
Adam was a White Tall man, around the same height as Eve, if not a bit taller, with fluffy short Brown hair and golden eyes.
Formed from Eve’s rib, He was made to be the perfect husband, strong and protective,
but he was also rather adventurous, yet still obedient to his wife’s wishes.
Adam and Eve quickly fell inlove, and despite occasional disagreements, They did not get into bigger fights than that.
Things were looking good Again, and soon humanity would develop, at least that’s what the higher beings hoped for.
=
And now this is where Lucifer’s and Lilith plan came in. They both wished to share free will with the rest of humanity, so they decided to offer The Apple to Eve’s new groom, Adam, since he obviously would be more compliant than his wife, considering he was newer in the garden, and newer to life.
=
Adam was currently picking out some fresh fruits since his wife had asked him to, collecting them in a small wooden basket, as he hummed a simple melody.
And while he was in the middle of picking off some oranges from a tree he heard a hissing voice call out from him from the branch of the tree behind him.
“Psssst… Adam…”
It spoke softly, trying to get the second man’s attention, and it worked as Adam quickly turned around with a curious yet also confused expression. What he saw was long smooth pale skinned Snake, curled up on the branch, The underside of its body being a dark shade of purple, lighter shade of purple lines along it, and the tip of its tail being bright purple.
He observed the snake but not long before—
“Hello Adam…”
—it spoke up again, voice still soft, breaking the second man out of his thoughts.
He blinked, once, twice, before speaking up
“Hello?…
I didn’t know snakes could talk.”
He replied, muttering out the Last part, as he put the wooden basket down.
The snake only chuckled, a smile on its face as it moved its small head closer toward the man
“There’s a lot you don’t know about the garden, Second man. But fear not for I have no wish to cause you any harm.”
It reassured the first man, pulling itself back to uncurl from the branch and slither closer, its body moving slowly on the branch
“I simply came here to… offer you something. something, that I think you won’t be able to resist.
But first…” The snake hopped down from the branch and onto the ground, and then with a quiet poof sound it Transformed, showing Lilith in the snake’s place. Adam’s eyes widened, surprise written all over his face, as he eyed the once-snake-now-angel infront of him, tilting his head curiously.
“You’re an.. angel? Like the ones who created me?”
The Angel nodded, a soft smile on her face
“I am. A pleasure to meet you, second man, You may call me Lilith, the archangel of joy and creation!”
She introduced herself, giving a small bow before standing up straight again.
Adam was about to Introduce himself too, but was quickly shushed by Lilith as she held up a hand in-front of him to stop him from speaking
“Don’t bother, I already know enough about you.”
She reminded with a smile, her voice casual but not unkind.
The man just blinked and his cheeks flushed in embarrassment, how stupid was he to try and introduce himself to a literal angel, obviously they would already know who he is.
Luckily for him the angel didn’t comment on his embarrassment, as she put her hands behind her back for a split moment
“Let’s get down to business, hm?”
She said as she took one of her hands and held it out in-front of the second man, an apple now resting in her palm.
“This is the fruit of knowledge, I’m sure you’ve heard of it already.”
Adam gasped as he saw the apple resting in Lilith’s hand, And he spoke quickly, concern on his face.
“How do you have that, you shouldn’t! isn’t that apple dangerous? Eve and the angels told me it is!”
“And what makes you think They’re telling the truth?”
Another, more masculine, voice asked, appearing from behind the tree that was behind Lilith and moving to stand next to the Angel, smiling at Adam.
Adam just blinked, dumbfounded at this new person’s unexpected appearance. He didn’t look like any Angel he’d ever seen, No… the guy almost looked Human— well… a very unusual human, he wasn’t anything like Adam Or Eve, he was too short and way too pale.
“Why would they lie about death?
And— Who even are you?”
The second Man asked tilting his head.
“Thats what I wondered too.
And— I am lucifer, the first man! I’m a human just like you! It’s great to finally meet you, Adam.”
Lucifer Introduced himself, holding his hand out for a handshake, still smiling brightly.
Adam just stared at The supposed first man, and hesitantly shook his hand, looking down at their hands
“Yeah?…”
He said before letting go and looking up again
“But wait— if you’re the first man, then why are you not with Eve?”
Adam questioned, stepping closer to lucifer, whose smile dropped and He looked up nervously at the taller man
who was eyeing the shorter man with a confused and suspicious look
“Why was I even created then? I don’t get it. Aren’t you supposed to be the husband of the first woman? Why am I here if you’re here too?”
He rambled, but before the Sudden interrogation could go further, Lilith cleared her throat and stepped forward in-front of the two men, causing Adam to take a step back,
As she held the apple firmly in both hands,
“Now now, let’s not get ahead of ourselves, we came here to help, not be interrogated.”
She responded with a strained smile, voice still ever-so calm.
She turned to the second man and spoke
“We can answer any questions you may have later, right after you eat this apple.”
Lilith held up the apple again in Adam’s direction. Her smile now an attempt to be reassuring.
Adam stared the fruit again with uncertainty, before looking up at the angel and first man in-front of him.
“How are you so sure that it won’t kill me?”
He asked, suspicious of the two as he crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow.
Lilith and lucifer just blinked at the attitude, taken back before Lilith quickly covered her surprise with a soft smile. Alright, it was gonna take some convincing, that’s fine, she thought, it was only fair the second man was gonna be cautious after the lies they filled his head with.
But just as Lilith was about to respond, lucifer beat her to it.
“Because, Adam. I have eaten the apple myself! And see? I’m still here, breathing!”
He spoke happily with a bright smile as an attempt to convince him, moving closer to the second man, who just stared at him.
Then he felt a tap on his shoulder, he turned toward his girlfriend, who silently handed him the apple and nodded toward the second man.
Lucifer gave a small confident smile, understanding what Lilith was trying to say, before turning back around toward the second man and holding up the fruit.
But his smile and voice got much softer when he began speaking.
“The apple isn’t dangerous, it never was! Every angel ate from it before, too! It’s completely safe! It only brings knowledge!
God just fears the idea of us becoming smarter than him!… but that’s not a bad thing! I promise! please, just trust us on this! We would never want to cause you harm, we just want to help you and Eve both! But your wife is.. a rather tough one, so we thought we’d come to you first!… maybe you could eat the apple and later on convince her, she’d be sure to believe you!”
Adam just stared down at Lucifer, his arms dropping to his sides as he took in the explanation. He glanced between The Angel and the Man;
The smaller man looked so sure and happy, meanwhile The taller woman looked so genuine, Maybe his concern was for nothing.. after all, why would A human, like him, And a literal angel want to do anything bad? They’re both pure beings, right?
As he dropped his gaze toward the apple again, he could see multiple bite marks, possibly from lucifer and other angels who ate from the fruit too,
Luckily the apple was big enough so there was still plenty of room to eat from it, but Adam couldn’t help but feel a faint sense of dread.
Though well… aren’t those just proof that the apple is safe?…
Convincing enough, Adam thought, it’s not like he didn’t wish to know more and explore further before, in-fact he would’ve loved to go even beyond what meets the eye! He just didn’t wish to disobey the higher ups and her wife, but a single fruit can’t possibly cause that many problems!… right?
So with a small sigh, Adam gave a smile and took the apple from lucifer’s hand, who was beaming with joy, meanwhile Lilith just looked at the two with a proud and satisfied smile.
“Fine… you’ve convinced me.”
He softly said, observing the apple more closely now that he was the one holding it, Before he slowly brought it to his now opened mouth, and—
CRUNCH
He bit the apple. And with that, evil found its way onto Earth.
And suddenly… A dark aura emerged from the second man.

It didn’t take long for God and the angels to find out about this act of disobedience.
“I’m very disappointed In you two.”
God’s deep voice echoed from the skies, as the Archangels surrounding Lucifer and Lilith Narrowed their eyes, Eyeing the Two troublemakers, however remained silent.
The two just stared up at God, Lilith’s expression unreadable, almost blank, meanwhile lucifer was just concerned, as he kept glancing at his girlfriend and up at his creator.
“Not only did you, Lilith, Broke countless rules by interacting with the humans, and seducing lucifer, But you have also taken away The first Man’s AND the second man’s Purity by feeding them that apple. Now we can’t keep evil under control anymore, Adam has gone Rogue, and the rest of Humanity will be deeply affected by this.”
“And You lucifer, could Not resist Temptation, betraying Both Our trust In you and The first Woman’s.”
He explained calmly, Yet Nothing could hide the fact That The creator of all was deeply angered.
Lilith didn’t take her eyes off of God.
no matter how much shame she felt being judged like this, she didn’t regret a single thing.
Lucifer however lowered his head in shame, unable to meet God’s gaze.
“This act cannot go unpunished, so I have made the decision to banish you two to that realm of sin you have created.”
“Lilith. Your wings will not only be given up, but your ability to conceive will also be taken.“
“Lucifer, Your role as father of humanity will be ripped from you, and so will your spot in heaven, For your soul is now rotten.”
That provoked a reaction out of both of them though, as Lucifer’s head snapped back up, his eyes wide and full of fear, meanwhile Lilith just gasped.
And with that, he left them no time to respond, even if they wished to, as the burning gates of Hell has opened For them, and They fell straight through.
…
Oh but they weren’t the only ones getting cast out, no.
After Adam couldn’t resist temptation, god had also assigned a punishment for him to be cast out of the garden to fend for himself on earth without guidance.
But Eve begged the higher ups that if they were gonna get rid of Adam, let her go with him, since She never did not wish for a third husband, Adam was her everything, And it wasn’t fair to leave him behind in her opinion, not after everything they’ve been through.
So God and the angels agreed after a long moment of hesitation.
And the angels promised Eve, that since she was the most loyal creation of God’s, she would be rewarded with being the first human soul in heaven after her death, since she deserved that spot.
And with that. God casted both of them out of the garden, Leaving them to start humanity in awful conditions.

Heaven.
The Bible on the golden desk was slammed shut, a hand that was trembling ever so slightly covered in black gloves rested on top of it.
The person, whose face was covered by a mask with the eyes and mouth on it being LED lights, was staring down at the book with a somber expression displayed on the screen of their mask.
“Ma’am, we really need to get going soon, us and the other exorcists are supposed to go training today, since extermination day is almost here.”
A feminine voice spoke out, breaking the exorcist leader out of their thoughts
Eve looked up from the book to see Vaggie, her lieutenant, standing a few feet away from the desk with a serious expression.
She waved her off with a hand as she lowered her head, gaze on the book once again.
“Yeah.. yeah.. got it vagina, I’ll be right out, just… give me a moment, will ya? Go make yourself useful and get the girls ready while you’re at it.”
She spoke with an annoyed tone, her voice more quiet than usual as she tried to keep up her usual Crude attitude, but nothing could hide the pain in her voice.
Vaggie said nothing just nodded as she made her way towards the door, but she lingered just for a moment to look back at her boss with a concerned expression, before sighing and finally taking her leave, leaving The older woman alone in her office.
Eve just stared down for a few moments before sighing and standing up, walking over to the wall where her battle guitaraxe was displayed, the end of her reddish robe dragging on the floor as she moves.
she slowly grabbed the guitaraxe and lowered it toward herself, staring at it for a long moment.
She can’t help but get reminded of Adam anytime she sees her axe;
she purposefully based it on a guitar, Adam always loved to play the guitar back in Eden.
Plus— it looked cool in her opinion.
“I’ll make them pay. All of them.”
She began with a shushed voice, her expression one of determination
“For you, Adam.“
And with that, she forced herself to push down all her guilt and grief to keep up her usual persona and went to leave her office to begin the training for today, hopefully that’ll take her mind off of things.
