Summary:

Amidst the young administration of the New Republic, the Mandalorian delegation sits just slightly off-center. Neither in proper control of a planet nor even formally members of the Republic itself, and caught in a web of old simmering grudges, their presence threatens to become the spark that ignites an already-volatile government.

Leia didn't help topple one xenophobic empire just to prop up a different one in its place.
