The schedule- hectic.
His head - spinning.
Him... exhausted.
They just finished practice and they were already heading to a radio show.
He was half listening to their manager talking about the interview, half sleeping when something nudged him in the arm.
He turned to look at the boy next to him who was beaming at him.
He hummed as a lazy grin appeared on his face.
"Stop dozing off, our manager will kill you" Jake said softly.
"Just a little more" Sunghoon said as he shifted so his head was on Jake's shoulder. He heard Jake chuckle as he stroked his hair, Sunghoon softened under the touch and visibly relaxed. Jake was always warm and comfortable- he thought.
"Hoon, wake up" Jake shaked him gently and he stirred.
"Five more minutes" he groaned.
"Come on, stop being dramatic, we already arrived." Jake laughed.
Sunghoon didn't answer but obeyed while cursing their schedule under his breath, making Jake shake his head in disbelief.
"You're unbelievable" Jake huffed out.
"You love it" Sunghoon chirped, throwing his exhaustion to the side.
"Unfortunately" Jake rolled his eyes as they both stepped out in the cold of the late afternoon.
The interview started smoothly. The host asked them the usual questions and they answered with practiced ease. That was until he announced that they were going to read fans questions.
"Alright everyone, let's start with the fan questions, I know Engenes have been waiting for this." the host said enthusiastically. "But I have to warn you, these questions are some you probably haven't heard yet"
"I'm not so sure about that. We have all received a lot of unexpected questions on fan calls and fan meetings." Jay said and the other hummed in agreement.
The host laughed "Alright then, let's see" he said and turned his gaze to the laptop in front of him.
"The first question is for Jungwon. If you had to choose one member to go on a trip with, who would it be and why?"
Jungwon chuckled "I think I have already answered this a couple of times but I would go with Jay hyung because he takes good care of me and I wouldn't have to worry about anything." The camera captured his rosy cheeks and cat eyes who were looking at the boy next to him.
The camera moved to Jay who was giving that soft smile he only flashed at Jungwon.
"Jay what are your thoughts on this?" The host interrupted the moment.
Jay seemed like he snapped out of his thoughts and huffed out a laugh, trying to hide his embarrassment "I feel proud" he joked.
"You two go well together" Heeseung said teasingly and everyone laughed.
"Okay moving on to Sunoo. What is your favorite ice cream flavor to eat when you feel sad."
Sunoo chuckled "Well, I don't think I eat anything sweet when I feel sad, but if I did it would be mint choco of course." He laughed as the others started fake gagging.
"Now Sunghoon, a really fun question for you. Would you like to have a bromance with one of the members and who would it be if you had to pick one." The host said and Sunghoon frowned.
"What exactly is bromance?" He asked even though he already knew.
"Bromance is when you have a lot of skin ship with another person but nothing more than that, for example hugs, hand-holding, cuddles, stuff like that."
"Oh" Sunghoon shifted uncomfortably in his seat and looked at the staff as if they could do anything about it.
"Well, personally I don't really like the idea of it. So no I wouldn't have a bromance with any of the members."
"What about Jake" Niki teased.
Sunghoon and Jake's eyes widened both looking at the maknae who just got them into trouble.
"What about me?" Jake asked, ready to throw a punch at the younger who was grinning like he knew something no else did.
"Me and Jake are just close I can confidently say he's my best friend, but we definitely don't have a bromance going on." He said and Jake nodded in agreement.
"Right, right" Jay said teasingly, seeing the flustered boys sitting next to each other at the round table.
"Okay moving on to another question" Sunghoon said with a fake laugh, trying to mask the way his whole nervous system jumped in his body, his ears were red and only Jake noticed but pretended he didn't.
It was always like this with them. They were always touchy- Sunghoon always reached out for Jake's hand, Jake always gave him hugs, sometimes Sunghoon pretended he was cold so he could cuddle with Jake - but he knew, he knew for a long time that this wasn't just friendship, at least not for him. He knew he liked Jake since they met in I-land, and he knew that grew into love for the other.
He loved Jake.

But he would never admit that out loud, he learned to hide his feelings because he knew Jake would never reciprocate them. Because Jake was like that, so easy to love.
He was one ray of sunshine, his smile always brightened up every room he would walk into, his eyes- god, those deep, honey brown eyes that drove Sunghoon crazy. And those lips Sunghoon imagined on his own. His fantasies were full of them, they looked so plump and soft. -
"You're staring"
He snapped out of his thoughts, the interview had already been finished and the only people left in the room were him and Jake.
"Oh, uh sorry, I zoned out" he said, flustered.
He watched as a teasing grin appeared on Jake's face.
"What were you thinking about" he asked, his eyebrow twitching in amusement.
"Nothing" Sunghoon said way to fast and stood up even faster.
"Let's go, I'm hungry" and just like that he took Jake's hand without a second thought. Jake watched as Sunghoon turned red but when Sunghoon met his gaze he was the one who blushed. Quickly looking away and hiding his sheepish smile in his free hand.
"Awh Jake, did you get shy? Come on we do this all the time" Now he was the one teasing.
"Shut up" Jake tried acting annoyed even though he failed miserably, but tried to play it off as he quickly turned around and squeezed Sunghoon's hand tighter as he tugged him.
They got out of the building and saw their van waiting for them. The others were probably already on their way home.
They got in and sat like usual, Jake in the window seat and Sunghoon right next to him.
"'m so tired" Jake slurred and laid his head on Sunghoon's chest.
Sunghoon smiled softly and wrapped an arm around the smaller boy.
Jake melted under the touch and nuzzled closer to him.
Sunghoon's heart always beated faster when Jake did this and he prayed Jake couldn't feel it.
"You're warm" Jake coaxed.
Sunghoon hummed and played with the locks of Jake's hair with his free hand.
"Can I sleep over, I don't feel like sleeping on my own." Jake asked once they arrived at the dorms.
"Yeah, everything alright?" Sunghoon asked softly.
"Mhm, just felt like sleeping here" Jake said as he sat on the edge of Sunghoon's bed.
"Okay then, let me just shower and I'll be right back" he said and removed his shirt in one smooth motion.
Jake has seen Sunghoon shirtless multiple times but each time he tries not to stare (too much).
Sunghoon noticed how the other examined his body but didn't say anything, only smirked.
He went in the shower without another word and replayed Jake's expression in his head.
'What if I seduce him without being obvious so if he says something I can act dumb.' He chuckled lowly at the thought.
He showered with hot water and got ready for showtime - as he called it in his head. Maybe it was the exhaustion getting to him or maybe something deeper that gave him more confidence in this.
And just like that he stared at himself in the mirror. His hair damp, lips plump, his upper body fully exposed with a few droplets running down his chest and abs, his muscles showing and a towel dangerously low at his hips, exposing his v-line.
He opened the door, the steam escaping the bathroom as he saw Jake scrolling on Sunghoon's phone in Sunghoon's hoodie in Sunghoon's bed.
Sunghoon managed to not soften immediately at the sight. He gained strength and tried his best to act hot, just like on stage.
Jake registered him and when he looked at him, his breath caught, his eyes carefully examining every part of his body.
"You're staring" he said as he tilted his head and smirked.
"I-I wasn't" Jake stuttered.
"Relax, I'm just teasing you. Anyway can you massage my shoulders, today's practice took me out" he said as he slowly approached Jake who was so flustered you could see it in his eyes.
"Uh yeah, yeah, sure" he managed to say.
Sunghoon's smirk deepened and sat in front of Jake with his bare back facing him.
Small, soft hands with delicate fingers gripped his shoulders. He managed not to shiver at the contact and just closed his eyes as Jake massaged him.
"Am I doing good?" Jake managed to ask, his throat was dry he felt like he couldn't breathe.
"Mm, yeah, it's perfect baby" he exhaled but than Jake paused.
"Mm?" He turned slightly to look at Jake.
"Did you just call me baby?" He asked, his eyes wide.
"No? Did I? Sorry I didn't even realize after you pointed it out" he started panicking internally, that wasn't even a part of his plan, the pet name just... escaped. "I won't call you that again sor-"
"No" Jake said quickly "I mean... you don't have to apologize, I uh didn't mind it." Jake wanted the ground to swallow him whole, what was he saying-
Sunghoon turned to him "You didn't mind what?"
He was close, but not too much, he gave Jake space.
"Huh?" Jake held his breath.
"Use your words Jake" he looked deeply into his eyes.
"I- I didn't mind you... calling me baby" he managed to say. He felt so small like this, Sunghoon's buff figure caging him.
Sunghoon stared at his lips ' No, no I can't kiss him now, I have to test the waters a bit more' so instead he brushed the strands of hair falling into Jake's eyes.
Jake's cheeks were rosy and something fond broke in Sunghoon's chest at the sight. He was even more beautiful up close.
He backed off turning his back to him as he felt Jake's gentle hands on his upper back again.
Sunghoon moaned as Jake massaged a particularly tense knot of muscles in his shoulder. He heard Jake's uneven breathing behind him and smiled to himself. There was a new found hope in his heart that Jake maybe did like him after all.
When Jake finished he stood up but didn't walk away he only looked at Jake's honey brown eyes. He saw Jake's throat bobbing as his eyes trailed down his chest, to his abs, to his v-line.
Sunghoon suddenly took a slow step forward making Jake meet his gaze and then he lowered himself so he was hovering over him, close enough for Jake to smell his shampoo.
He brought a hand up and cupped his cheek. He only wanted to feel his skin- and much more but it still wasn't the time for that.
He brushed his thumb under his eye, feeling the softness of his skin.
Then he stood straight and turned to walk to his closet trying to act nonchalant. He took out boxers and a black shirt. He turned around and saw Jake staring at him with wide eyes.
"What? There was a crumb on your cheek" spoiler alert - there wasn't.
"Oh" Jake... looked disappointed?
"What's with that expression, you look like kicked puppy" he chuckled lowly while putting on his boxers with the towel still around his hips.
Jake pouted "I don't know what you're talking about"
"Should I come and kiss that pout of your face?" Sunghoon teased even though in his heart he hoped Jake would say yes.
Jake finally raised his head and looked at him with wide eyes. He saw Sunghoon's expression which was teasing but in his eyes he saw a hidden genuineness.
With a sudden way of boldness Jake got up and made his way to Sunghoon, stopping right in front of him.
Sunghoon's breath caught, he was surprised he even made it as far as cupping Jake's cheek earlier and now Jake is standing right in front of him... waiting for a kiss? - or maybe he misread that.
"Sunghoon what are you playing?" Jake asked a smug smirk appearing on his face.
'Oh hell no,
He is not going to reverse our roles. '
Sunghoon thought and with an amused smirk he stepped even closer to Jake. Watching his expression change.
"Baby" he purred.
Jake shivered.
"You think I'm playing?" His voice low, dark.
Jake opened his mouth to say something but Sunghoon was done waiting, done thinking it was one sided, whether he makes it awkward for them later it didn't matter.
He kissed Jake, a soft, tender yet hungry press of lips.
He pulled away to see Jake's reaction and found him with a dazed expression on his face. He was staring at Sunghoon's chest.
Sunghoon wanted to kiss him again, but what if Jake didn't want that?
So instead he stepped away and said "You talk to much, had to shut you up" he put his shirt on and walked out of the room.
Jake slowly sat on the bed, still dazed from what happened, his hand was on his lips.
Sunghoon's lips were so soft he had to feel them again. He wasn't letting this go that easily.
Sunghoon returned with two glasses filled with water.
"Thought you might be thirsty" he said and handed Jake one glass.
Jake took both glasses and put them on the nightstand turning to Sunghoon who looked at him with a confused yet expectant expression "The only thing I'm thirsty for is those lips. Do it again" he said, his voice hungry.
Sunghoon's confusion grew into smugness. "Is that so princess" as much as he wanted to tease Jake he couldn't hold back anymore.
His hand found Jake's jaw, cupping it, his other hand gripping his hip possessively, claiming. His mouth found Jake's and it was hungry, messy, all the yearning finally spilling out. Sunghoon felt like he could drown in Jake's mouth, it was addictive. He couldn't stop.
Their tongues were swirling, tasting each other, exploring each other's mouths.
Jake tasted like something sweet, something he couldn't name, but couldn't- didn't want to stop tasting.
Jake pulled away gasping for air, but Sunghoon the hungry man that he is rushed back, kissing him again, deeper, tender.
"Hoon" Jake gasped against his lips. Gosh he sounded so good. He had to, needed to hear more sounds seeping out of Jake.
He bit Jake's lower lip, making him moan, he sucked on it as Jake whimpered.
Suddenly Sunghoon started moving, guiding Jake until his knees touched the side of the bed. He understood what Sunghoon was doing and let himself fall on his back.
Sunghoon went on top of him, looking at him with deep emotion before diving into his skin. He nibbled on the skin below Jake's ear pulling moans out of his mouth.
Sunghoon groaned against his skin and Jake felt it vibrating through his whole body.
As Sunghoon marked him up, working on a third hickey when Jake breathlessly said "Sunghoon, I need you"
Sunghoon paused and raised his head to meet the smaller's eyes.
"Please"
Shit.
He stood up and Jake panicked, he propped on his elbows and watched Sunghoon, did he go too far?
The answer- no.
Sunghoon locked the door and went back to Jake in two long steps.
"God, you scared me, I thought you were leaving because I went to far" the relief on Jake's face was visible, it made something in Sunghoon's chest crack- in a good way.
He smirked "Oh baby, we're just getting started"
The clothes - gone.
The glasses of water - long forgotten.
Sunghoon's face? - between Jake's ass cheeks.
He licked a long swipe and Jake shuddered. He kissed Jake's ass and sat up looking at Jake who looked desperate, needy - he loved it.
Without a warning he rimmed his entrance and a moan escaped Jake's mouth.
"Already moaning baby? I haven't even entered my whole finger" Jake moaned again in response, Sunghoon only smirked but didn't push - well except his finger which he slid in fully.
He moved with slow, deep movements, making Jake shudder.
He added a second finger, then a third, then another one.
"Come on Hoon" Jake moaned, his eyes rolling back as Sunghoon took out his fingers in a sudden motion.
He took more lube and coated himself.
He lined up with Jake's entrance and in one fast motion he slamed in, Jake screamed.
Sunghoon looked at his face with a dazed expression. "So pretty" he murmured and brought a hand up to cup his cheek.
Jake melted into the touch, Sunghoon leaned forward and pecked his lips tenderly.
"I'll continue now love" he warned him softly. He moved letting Jake adjust before changing his pace to a much faster one.
He watched as Jake's mouth fell open, his head thrown back, back arching in pleasure.
He slammed in, pulled out almost the whole way and slammed back in.
Jake moaned and moaned, Sunghoon couldn't wish for more.
Jake's hand reached up towards him "kiss me" he moaned out.
Sunghoon leaned down, capturing his lips in a claiming motion, his pace not slowing.
They kissed like earlier but this time it was even hungrier. Their teeth clashing, tongues swirling together.
As if it wasn't enough Sunghoon's hand flew to Jake's nipple and rolled it between his thumb and index finger. Jake moaned even louder.
It was overwhelming. He didn't know if he wanted to stop or if he wanted even more.
"Ngh Sunghoon 'm gonna come" he pulled away from Sunghoon's lips as he arched his back even more.
"Me too baby"
Sunghoon hit the perfect spot and Jake couldn't hold it anymore. He came with a scream and Sunghoon followed right after.
He collapsed on top of Jake.
After a moment of catching their breaths he shifted so he could look at Jake. He brought a hand to his cheek and caressed it.
"You did so well baby" he said and pressed his lips on his forehead.
Jake beamed and kissed Sunghoon's lips.
"I know you're tired but we have to shower." He said and slowly pulled out of Jake's sensitive hole.
"I can't get up" he said looking at Sunghoon with half lidded eyes.
Sunghoon chuckled and picked him up in one smooth motion. Jake gasped but quickly nuzzled his face in Sunghoon's neck, breathing in his scent.
The water fell warm on their faces as they looked at each other with eyes full of love.
"So beautiful, you look unreal" Sunghoon gripped Jake's waist possessively.
Jake smiled sheepishly and got on his tippy toes to kiss Sunghoon, his arms around his neck.
Sunghoon melted into the kiss. He took the lead and tasted the now familiar taste of Jake's addictive lips.
They kissed like that for a while, bodies pressing together, mouths moving in sync. It felt perfect.
Suddenly Sunghoon pulled away "You must be tired, let's go in bed" Jake only hummed as he let Sunghoon take care of him.
They laid together on the bed, bodies tangled under a soft blanket. Jake was on top of Sunghoon, his face buried in his neck, breathing in his addictive scent.
Suddenly he propped himself onto his elbows, wanting to take a good look of Sunghoon's face.
"Hoon," he cupped his cheek.
Sunghoon hummed, eyes fluttering closed as he leaned into Jake's hand.
"I love you" he said softly.
Sunghoon opened his eyes, looking at him in surprise that melted away instantly into something quiter, fond.
He smiled softly. "I love you even more Jake" he lightly pecked his nose, making Jake giggle.
Jake kissed his cheek gently and laid his head back on Sunghoon's bare chest.
The room fell silent, with two people who had growing love for each other.
