This fic was supposed to be preg foxxian with the twin tiger seal, breastfeeding a starved a-Yuan.
Yanli's marriage was the beginning with the seal taunting about their lack of food and Wei Wuxian wanted to get rid of them (because they were right) Cue some array testing until they got the good pattern.
When trying to absorb the seal to make himself a new core, a vixen got chased inside the array and BOOM!
At that time, I just added ears and one tail to Wei Wuxian and he was alright. Just his old wounds that glued themselves back with resentment until it was a good as healed.
For the moment, he didn't know he was pregnant, just he got female equipment from the vixen, but it quickly went out of his mind.
In the first week after his transformation, he learned that if he sat and meditated inside a field, he could absorb the resentment from the soil in one or two afternoons and his tail got darker. But every time he ate their clear radish soup with a little a-Yuan whining about being hungry his heart and pecs would ache.
At the end of the first week, this time when a-Yuan asked for more, Wei Wuxian felt something flowing from his nipples-> cue panic, examination by Wen Qing who said he was lactating ( no breast, just dripping milk like platypuses) and then suggesting he breastfed a-yuan (who was a bit younger, barely two years old)
Time pass, the BM is better purified, their crops are better and a-yuan is healthier.
Wen Qing is curious and study the milk and say it help with reducing the resentment effects on the body and suggests sharing to the adults too, especially the old ones because they are sick -> cue a teacup each day for every other Wen, Popo first
They get healthier, stronger and can give more food to Wei Wuxian (that was the crack part of the story)
Fast-forward some months, Wei Wuxian finally asks Wen Qing because he had weird symptoms and they discover the pregnancy too late to abort and the fetuses are a bit more aware of the world as they react to what Wei Wuxian and Wen Qing suggest with sending a spike of resentment in the meridians of Wei Wuxian to bite Wen Qing.
Time passes, like in canon nobody come to the BM since the restaurant with Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian receives the invitation that had been deposed in Yiling post office and taken by wn when he went to sell their radishes.
I didn't really go into how they were eating better, but somehow, they did.
Wei Wuxian is heavily pregnant, has no paper to write an answer, so he just waits with carving the bell forJin Ling and hoping to find a courier to send it.
Qiongqi happens, and Jin Zixun is disappointed and throws a tantrum in front of the sect leaders.
Cue everyone accepting to attack the BM, Lan Wangji is coming to lessen the damages. But they got into a terrible fight with undead until they were all on their knees.
Then ghosts took them by force to prostrate in front of Wei Wuxian.
He is sat on a bones throne, nine tails displayed (one by each month passed since his change) behind him, red eyes looking at his feet in disdain, one hand holding his chin as the other keep a-Yuan secure on his lap while he is drinking milk. His pregnant belly is visible by anyone, and he is surrounded by angry corpses and ghosts and wounded Wens, especially a burned aunty (future Wen Bao) and a one-handed teen (future Ming Yu) holding rusty weapons or farming tools + ominous energy behind him glowing and being a dramatic backdrop of black and red.
When a-Yuan stops drinking, he passes him to Wen Qing, before opening his robes wide, to show everyone he hasn’t got the backlash from the curse. Then with an angry flick of his wrist, he banishes everyone from the BM and the access is closed.
Four years later Huaisang braves the mounds to ask for an audience, like Yiling people do. His brother is sicker and he had learned about the sabers, and he is ready to parley with Wei Wuxian to ask for his help.
In that time the BM got better, nice crops and all, and the village is thriving, Wei Wuxian and a handful of teens and adults go around Qishan to night hunt and even find Yi city where they exchange help for Burial things, and Wei Wuxian find a-Qing and adopt her.
I never went farther because I started to write and search things to make it a bit more plausible in ancient China and some things had to be moved or erased since I didn't know how to explain them.
Then I developed the BM lore and decided to move the Wen to keep the BM for the dead.
Things have drastically changed, and I'm still adjusting things as I go but I like both versions.
My problem is that I like to show something well-built, and I found the original story a bit clunky and not really developed...
