Work Text:
"Don't peak," Ada slurred with her hands firmly over Leon's eyes. He stretched his arms out and leaned into the hotel wall. She kicked the door shut behind her with her heel. The strap had opened up leaving the shoe dangling from her toes. She kicked them off as soon as they made it past the bathroom door.
"Should I be worried?" Leon said. He reached up and placed his palms over her hands, engulfing them in warmth.
"You would even if I told you not to," she said. He smiled behind her hands and walked forward with her in tow. They nearly toppled into the TV stand but righted themselves enough for Ada to sit him on the edge of the bed. "Just keep your eyes closed." She moved her hands away when he slipped his fingers beneath hers to cover in her stead.
"Let me guess. You got me a puppy." Leon sat patiently as Ada pulled out the little box she'd placed in the mini fridge before they got there.
"Not a puppy," she said as she opened it.
"Hm whatever it is, I hope it comes with you wrapped in a big red bow." His words wavered from the alcohol they'd already consumed at dinner. The grin she'd felt on his face remained as if it were a permanent feature. Ada chose to believe that was the case, even if it was just for the night.
"You never struck me as a greedy man." She set the open box next to the bottle of wine and two empty glasses, ripped open the small box of candles she'd picked up from the drug store, and plunged one into the fresh white frosting.
"Always with you." Leon's voice dropped low in the way she liked, in the way it did when he touched her. Ada struck a match and lit the candle. "What are we lighting on fire?" Leon asked.
"It's a surprise." She moved in front of him. Her hands gently wrapped around his wrists and pulled his hands away from his eyes. He tilted his face up when she did. They stared at each other, newly tied together, with vows hanging in the quiet air. Ada cupped his face and ran a thumb along his cheek.
"I like this surprise," he whispered. She leaned forward to kiss him as he wrapped his arms around her waist and tugged her closer. Heat bloomed over her skin. He leisurely tasted her mouth and ran his hands along her back. Before things got out of hand, she pulled away.
"How about another one?" Ada moved to the side for him to see what she'd prepared. He kept one hand on her as he took in her display.
"You'd think it was my birthday," he said.
"Is the candle too much?" she asked without a care for the answer. The only light in the room was from the city that filtered through the thin curtains over the window and the rainbow candle that flickered on the small round cake. A piped red rose sat at the center of the white frosted confection she'd picked up on her way into DC.
She'd managed to find someone, a connection that owed her, to agree to fudge some paperwork for them, officially marrying the two of them in secret. Part of her wished she could do more than this hotel room. But others waited for them the next day, and they'd go back to work. For now, they had the night. Leon peered up at her. The warm flickering light reflected in his blue eyes.
"Are you even looking at the cake?" she asked.
"No." He steered her to him again and tugged her down to his lips. She couldn't help the smile that kept them from kissing deeply.
"You have to at least try it," she mumbled against his mouth.
"I thought that's what I was doing."
"The cake," she insisted. He moved his lips to her cheek and released her. She felt his eyes on her as she took up the box and brought it to him. "Should we blow it out?"
"Do we get a wish?"
"I don't see why not." Ada gave him a moment to think before she asked. "You ready?"
"As I'll ever be." They both leaned forward and blew out the candle. She moved the cake back onto the table and dipped her finger into the frosting. Leon's eyes trained on her finger as she slid it between her lips. The sugar coated her tongue as she pulled out of her mouth. The desire in his eyes felt better than any dessert. She dipped it back in for more and moved into his arms.
"Want a bite?" she asked. He opened his mouth obediently for her. Leon took her wrist and made a show of sliding her finger into his mouth and slowly releasing her. The look on his face was as hazy as she felt. Either it was the work of the alcohol or the ever present need to take this man to bed.
"What did you wish?" he asked.
"I didn't." Ada cupped his face with the same hand and ran her thumb along his lower lip. He opened his mouth for her and shuddered as she teased him.
"Why not?" The strain of restraint was evident in every word.
"I got everything I could wish for."
"Liar," he said.
"Then, what did you wish for?"
"If I tell you, then it won't come true."
"But this is our candle," she said. He closed his eyes briefly when she brushed his lip and nearly slipped into his mouth again.
"This. I wished for this."
"You have this." She leaned down so her lips hovered over his.
"But I don't want to hide you," Leon whispered. She kissed him slowly, tasted the sweetness of his mouth. His hands dipped beneath the hem of her dress, fingers slid up her thighs. For a while, in the dim light of the room, they were just newlyweds. In this space, Ada forgot the monsters outside their door, and the creatures they made.
Leon wrapped his hands around her thighs and pulled her into his lap. Ada pressed her forehead against his as he slid his thumb along her damp slit beneath dark lace. She rolled her hips into his hand for more pressure as the world spun.
"And you call me greedy." His voice was husky as he moved the impeding fabric to the side. When the heat of his thumb caressed her folds, she sucked in a breath. She wanted him deeper, filling her completely. Leon pulled back, eyes roamed her face, as he pushed into her heat. His palm settled over her clit as he caressed her. She couldn't help the way she pressed into him and wrapped her arms around his neck. One hand slid into his hair and grabbed him firmly.
Leon's eyes lit with fire from the tug. He pushed another digit inside her and pressed up into the place she knew would send her over the edge. Pressure built like a balloon waiting to pop. Leon leaned in to leave open kisses against her shoulder and moved up. His face nestled into the crook of her neck as she built up friction.
Ada's carefully placed walls crumbled as he sank deeper, pressed into her clit harder. He knew how to touch her. The only person to know her so thoroughly, and she would want it no other way. He groaned as she tightened over his fingers, as she moaned her release. Her grip tightened in his hair. Her other hand clutched his back, feeling the way his muscles bunched beneath her palm as he fucked her with his hand.
"Off." She barely got the word out but showed him by tugging on his shirt. Leon's low soft laugh made her hot all over again. He pulled off his shirt for her. Ada leaned back and watched the way his body moved as he did. He shuddered when she ran her hands over his chest, along the scars and tight muscle.
"Off," he echoed. He didn't have to gesture for her to know he wanted it all, for them to be bare to each other, nothing between them. Ada made a show of pulling the straps of her dress over her shoulders, allowing the fabric to pool over her breasts and down to her waist. She stood and turned so that it fell over her back and down her legs. Leon watched behind her, unabashed about eyeing her body. A flush had spread over his cheeks and down his chest.
"Your turn," she said. He leaned back and unzipped his pants, giving her a view of his full arousal beneath his underwear. Ada turned fully to him running her hand over her chest and clutching one of her breasts for him to see. A soft curse left his lips as he discarded the rest of his clothes.
She stepped towards Leon with his arms already out to receive her. It was the way she didn't have to say a word that made her hungry for more. She stood in front of him, his eyes hooded and gazing up at her in revere. He watched her face as he kissed her stomach. She slid her fingers into his hair when he moved her closer. Slowly, he leaned back, taking her with him.
She gasped when he placed her body on top of him and slid her higher so that she straddled his head. He ran his hands up to her ass and squeezed, sending a shiver down her spine. She knew what was coming. The anticipation made her legs quake around him.
"Hold onto something," Leon teased as he turned his head and slowly kissed her inner thigh. Ada leaned forward and pressed her palms against the wall as he feathered kisses over her damp lips. One thing she knew about Leon was how much he loved nothing more than to service her.
He groaned as he licked up her slit. His hands slid to her thighs to steady them as they shook. Her heart sat in her throat, and her body hummed in anticipation. Instead of delving in, he waited.
"Please," she groaned. His smile was the last thing she saw before he pushed past her folds and slid his tongue into her core. Ada's voice rang in her ears with the wet lap of his tongue. Leon had a way of showing restraint in every area of his life but this, and it made her so wet to see him come alive between her thighs. His brows came together in a concentration she'd only seen out on the field. His hands tightened over her skin—keeping her there as if she'd fly away.
Ada couldn't help but rock against his mouth when he sucked and tongued her clit. Her fingers gripped the wall as her arms shook. Sweat rolled down her back with the effort not to smother him with her soaked cunt.
Leon groaned again, moving his hands back to her ass and tugging her forward, harder against his face. The challenge set in his eyes, willing her to lose it. Ada was nothing but a woman willing to challenge this man. She sat back on her knees, threaded her fingers into his hair and rolled her hips over his open mouth. A moan burst from Leon and his eyes rolled shut. His hips thrust up into nothing behind her as she rode him to her ecstasy. His name tumbled from her lips over and over as she came down from the high.
Leon's mouth moved slower over her sex, eyes hooded and lost. Ada leaned back and took his rock-hard cock in her hand, sliding her thumb up under the pulsing vein beneath. His groan was instant and his hips surged into her grasp. She rolled her thumb over his dripping head and felt him writhe between her thighs.
Ada rose to her knees to admire her work. Leon's hair feathered out wild around his face, his eyes hooded with lust, and her slick heat covered his mouth and chin. His chest moved with rapid breaths as she stroked his erection, flushed and glistened. Her patience trickled to a stop as she took him in, fucked out beneath her, and she moved down his body to line up the head of his cock with her entrance.
His head lulled to the side to watch her as she descended over his shaft. Their moans mingled together as she seated him deep inside her, sheathing him completely. Ada sat for a moment to accommodate his size, enjoying the stretch of her walls and fullness she felt. He breathed her name; his eyes roamed her face like a man obsessed.
Ada wanted to show Leon how much she felt the same and pulled her hips back before snapping them forward. Leon's body shook with the movement, and his core muscles bunched when she did it again.
"Just like that," he moaned. Her hips rolled as her body coiled tighter and tighter toward release. Leon moved one hand to clutch the side of the headboard to keep himself steady. The other, he used to slip between them and roll his fingers over her sensitive clit. Ada cursed at the sensation, the way his veins along his arms bulged as he held on tight, and the sounds mingled together in the room. The hot scent of sex and sounds of their joining filled her ears.
"Good boy," she moaned, rocking harder against his hand. The praise rolled off her tongue like a prayer as he thrust up into every snap of her hips, matching her rhythm. She wouldn't last long, and from the look of Leon's slack face, he wouldn't either. She pressed her palms against his chest, leaning forward so that she had full control. Leon moved his hand from between them, placing his arm up with the other to give it to her. His submission made her mind blank out in primal need to be the reason he unraveled, but his plea to have her come over his cock brought her over the edge.
Ada moved her body by instinct alone, unaware of everything around her except the exquisite pleasure they shared. His cries mingled with hers as they came together. The world tilted, and her eyes screwed shut in bliss. Soon her body slowed, muscles relaxed until she felt like collapsing. Leon held her and brought her down over his chest. They lay with each other, all sweat and heavy breath. His pulse beat against her skin, the sound of his heart loud against her ear.
Patter of rain on the window brought her back to the present, unaware of when it had begun. After a time, she slid off and laid beside him. He turned over, draping an arm around her middle as if to keep her there. She ran her fingers along his arm; a silent reassurance she had no plans of going anywhere. She took his hand into hers and held it up. Calluses had formed along the inside of his palm; a scar ran along the center. She traced it with her thumb.
"I almost forgot," she said into the quiet room.
"Hm?" His hum muffled in the crook of her neck.
"I have something for you."
"You're giving me a lot of gifts today," he said. Ada untangled herself from Leon and moved back to the desk. Behind the bottle of wine was a small box. She opened it and took out the contents, bringing it back with her to the bed. Leon had sat up on his arm, eyes trailing her movement. For a moment, she allowed herself to think about what it would feel like to see this every day. To wake up beside her husband. Her husband. She repeated the endearment in her head.
Leon sat up completely and reached out to run his hand along her cheek. A slow smile spread over his face.
"The gift that good?" he asked.
"What makes you say that?" she said. He dropped his hand and moved to the edge of the bed so that she fit between his knees.
"Your smile," he said. Ada's chest tightened, a flutter started in the pit of her stomach. How could she still feel like a lovesick teen after all these years? She'd felt the same way when he'd helped her in Raccoon, when he tilted his head with that sweet boyish smile to tell her she was stuck with him until the end. He had no idea in that moment how right he was.
"For you," she said and held out her palm. Leon eyed the wedding band and slowly took it from her. "I thought about asking you what you'd want but…"
"It's perfect," he whispered. She'd thought the dark onyx band would slip nicely beneath his gloves when he was on the job. Even if he couldn't always wear it, she wanted him to have something. "There's red in it." He peered up at her with genuine surprise. Glimmers of red sparkled beneath the darkness.
"A little of me with you," she said and took the band from him. Ada lifted his left hand and slipped the ring over his finger. "There. Now it's official." The sight of him adorning her gift filled her with satisfaction. His pleasure with what she'd given him gave her more.
"Then I guess I shouldn't wait any longer," Leon said and gently pushed her back so he could stand from the bed. Ada moved to sit at the edge as she watched him run his hand through his hair in an attempt to tame it. He lifted his pants from the floor and rummaged in the pocket. Her body froze when he lifted the little box.
Leon went to his knees in front of her and opened the box. Inside there were two rings. One was a rose gold band with a diamond inlaid at the center. Clustered next to it was a ruby butterfly that glimmered in the low light. The other ring was a small matching band in the same gold. She took the box into her hands, and breathed his name with surprise. The inside of the band held an engraving in tiny print.
My Heart's Home
Ada stared at the band, holding the two in her palms. Emotion welled inside her. She could only sit and stare. But Leon was patient and sat in their comfortable silence while she took them in. She opened her mouth to say something, but her lower lip shook. He took the rings from her and stacked them together between his fingers. They appeared so small in his hands, as much as her hand did when he reached out for it.
"No matter where we are. I'm right here." He slid the rings onto her finger, took her fingers into his hand and leaned her wrist forward so he could place a slow kiss on the back of her hand. Ada brushed his hair back, placing the strands where she knew he liked them. She feared speaking—afraid to allow all her feelings to rush out.
Ada pulled him into her arms, pressing his cheek against her chest so he could hear her heart. Leon wrapped his arms around her. They had all night. Maybe they'd have more in the future, maybe they wouldn't, but she was happy at that moment. She decided she could die like this. To have known love. To have been loved.
"You're mine too." Her voice wobbled but she refused to cry. He kept his head against her chest and tightened his hold on her.
"What's that?"
"Where my heart is."
