It doesn’t matter — neither Thor’s thoughtlessness then nor his mistrust now. Loki does love to hold grudges, but he will not manufacture one now, not when, if all goes well, he will not have the chance to forgive his brother. He can only hope that Thor will forgive him.
He raises his hand and summons the blue cube out of its dimensional pocket. It glows against his hand with an unmistakable shiver of ice-cold power.

I always enjoy this specific premise, especially considering how... contrived and convoluted the original reasonings of the Marvel movies tend to be.
I fully intend to write a fic based off a similar premise one day, but it's still a joy to see these.Simple, short and straightforward. Sacrifice always feels so good.
