Chapter Text
This fic is a product of my love for both The Outsiders and Casablanca. As such, there will be mentions of Nazis, death, crime, and sexual innuendo, among other things. If any of these topics trigger you, leave now. I love this idea and I am excited to make it a thing. Now, let us get on with the fic! I hope you enjoy it!
Across Nazi controlled Europe people flee the tyranny of the regime. The world set its eyes on Lisbon, the great gateway to which you enter the free world. However, not everyone could arrive in Lisbon directly, so the great emigration trail was created.
Paris to Marseilles, across the Mediterranean, then by train, foot, or car across the north of Africa to Morocco, where freedom lies in the city of Casablanca. Here, the fortunate ones—either by money, influence, beauty, or luck—hurry to obtain exit visas and flee to Lisbon. And from Lisbon, make their escape to the Americas. But others stay in Casablanca and wait. And wait. And wait…
