Chapter Text

The life of a pizza delivery boy isn't as easy as people think, and Jisung knew that all too well. He had been delivering pizzas as a part-time job for three months, but in that time he still hadn't developed any sense of direction. He slowed down his scooter when he reached the street and tried to look carefully at the street numbers on the front of the houses, but the night was dark and the lack of lighting was a major obstacle.

He looked at his watch. He was more than ten minutes late. His boss was going to kill him, especially since he was already on thin ice... He stopped in front of the house he determined to be the right one and rang the doorbell. The light was already on, so he must not have been mistaken!

He heard a faint, hurried “Coming!” before the door opened.

Jisung's eyes fell directly on the man who opened the door: older than him, certainly, but with a cute face, big eyes, a simple silk robe with a neckline that revealed a little skin and a bit of lace, and above all, a sweet smell. Jisung didn't like to make assumptions, but his instincts screamed “omega!” and he couldn't ignore it.

“Hm, can I help you?” said the omega, a slightly worried look appearing on his face.

Jisung snapped out of his daze and resumed his role as a pizza delivery guy. "Here's your order! " he said, pushing the box into the stranger's hands before saying a quick goodbye, getting on his scooter, and speeding off, leaving the other person no time to respond.

When he arrived at the pizzeria, he was greeted by Jeongin, who motioned for him to be quiet and duck down to avoid the boss's angry gaze, then follow him to the back.

“Man, what the hell were you doing?” Jeongin began in a low voice. Felix, who was standing there, joined them.

“I'm a little late, I know! But that's no reason to yell at me!” he said with conviction.

“Just a little late?” Felix repeated, stunned. “Sungie, you’re more than twenty minutes past your delivery time, and the customers still haven’t received their pizza!”

“What? But I did deliver it to 38 Lonely Street!”

Jeongin put his face in his hand.

“It was 28, Sungie! Not 38!”

“Are you sure?” asked Jisung, gradually realizing his mistake.

“Yes, I took the order,” confirmed Felix.

Fortunately for him, Jeongin handed him a new box. “I asked the kitchen to redo the order.” Jisung took it without further ado. “Fortunately, or unfortunately for the boss, the customers hadn't paid for the order yet. Tell them it's on the house to apologize for the delay. That should limit the damage.”

“And I'll stop the boss from going near the phone. You're lucky it's me on duty tonight!”

Jisung thought about what would have happened if Hyunjin had been there instead of the Australian... He could have said goodbye to his student job.

Jisung hurried to do as he was told, he delivered the pizza to the right address, but couldn't help thinking back to his encounter earlier. He almost didn't regret his mistake...

That evening, he closed up the pizzeria with Jeongin and Felix and told them everything. To his surprise, the other two alphas seemed just as intrigued.

The three alphas were good friends, but they were absolutely terrible at stopping themselves when an idea popped into their heads. So Jisung and Jeongin promised each other they would deliver another pizza to the address, hoping to see the omega again.

The next day, as promised, Felix pointed out when they received an order to a similar address, Jeongin and Felix both got on their scooters, the younger one with an extra pizza, and they set off.

In front of the omega's house, “Do you know his name?” Jeongin asked in a low voice, the two alphas hiding behind a tall bush.

“No? How would I know?”

Jeongin rolled his eyes, “Let me do it.”

He took the pizza and rang the doorbell. Like the day before, a “Coming!” was heard before the door opened.

Jeongin was also stunned by the omega’s beauty, as well as his revealing yet not-so-revealing outfit. A silk robe with a little lace peeking out was enough to make the alpha’s mind wander.

Nevertheless, he pulled himself together faster than Jisung had the day before. “Here's your pizza!” he said, placing the box in the hands of the stranger, who seemed taken aback. “Have a good evening!” Jeongin took one last furtive glance before rushing off, followed by Jisung.

“So, did you ask him his name?” asked Jisung back at the pizzeria, with the two alphas gone on a mission and Felix hiding in a corner to debrief.

“No! But I looked at the name on the mailbox!” said Jeongin proudly.

“So?” asked Felix, eager to know too.

“Bang Chan! That was the only name.” He revealed without further ado.

“And is Chan as handsome as Jisung describes?”

“Even more so!” Jeongin declared, beginning to go into detail about his encounter with Chan, "And he smells so good! I've never met anyone who smells this good in my entire alpha life..."

“You presented yourself six months ago, Jeongin...” Felix reminded him.

“So what?! First of all, it was eight months ago, and secondly, just because I presented myself a little late doesn't mean I have less experience!” He said seriously.

“Okay, okay, I wouldn’t dream of belittling your alpha qualities, oh great Jeongin!” The alphas burst out laughing. “Anyway, I’ll see for myself tomorrow when I’m on delivery duty.”

The three alphas agreed and made their plans for the next day, but an obstacle stood in their way…

... Hwang Hyunjin.

As predicted, Hyunjin was at the front desk of the pizzeria, taking orders. They waited until the tall blond had his back turned to order two pizzas, and picked them up when the alpha was busy on the phone again, before slipping away.

Jisung was surprised at how easily they had accomplished their mission. They set off on their scooters without further ado.

The alphas hid a little further away so as not to attract the omega's attention, but made sure they could see the front of the house. Felix got ready and went, smiling, to ring the doorbell of the man named Chan.

“Who is it?” he heard this time, followed by “Coming!” The door opened, and the omega looked surprised.

Felix, who had already started to say something, didn't give him any more time to think. “Here's your pizza,” he said with his deep voice with a broad smile. “Have a good evening.” He concluded by waving goodbye and left immediately.

The alphas waited to see Chan close the door of his house with the pizza before leaving.

When they parked their vehicle in front of the pizzeria, Felix confirmed what he already knew, “Wow, he's really cute... breathtaking.”

They entered the pizzeria a little too carelessly and found themselves face to face with Hyunjin, who smiled at them as if he had been expecting them. “You do realize that three delivery guys leaving at the same time with a stolen pizza doesn't go unnoticed, hm?”

Jisung didn't really like Hyunjin, and the feeling was mutual, but he knew that the alpha was also friends with Felix and that he adored Jeongin, so he hoped he wouldn't turn on all three of them.

“When did you notice?” Jisung asked, a little on his guard.

“Relax, I'm not going to say anything to the boss. You're lucky tonight is pretty quiet,” he said with a smile. “To answer your question, I noticed as soon as you left. It was too suspicious.”

Jeongin and Felix breathed a sigh of relief. As long as the boss didn't know anything, that was the main thing. But Jisung wasn't going to claim victory so quickly. “What do you want, Hyunjin?”

Hyunjin smiled even more broadly. “I want to know what you're hiding.”

The three alphas nodded and agreed to meet with Hyunjin at closing time. When it was time to close up shop and tidy everything away, they told him everything in detail. Hyunjin agreed to keep it a secret, so they put a new plan into action.

The next day was a busy evening. Two of them were on duty taking orders, Seungmin and Jeongin, and the four alphas had already decided that it would be too risky for all four of them to leave together. Felix then took it upon himself to accompany Hyunjin. Jeongin gave them a pizza he had ordered especially for their mission, and the two alphas left without further ado.

Felix hid and watched Hyunjin ring the doorbell.

Hyunjin waited only a few moments after hearing “Coming!”

The door opened, and Hyunjin smiled. The omega spoke first, “Yes?” He seemed a little concerned.

“Here's your pizza,” said Hyunjin, handing the pizza to Chan, who took it, puzzled. With a big smile that crinkled his crescent moon eyes, Hyunjin wished Chan a good evening before leaving.

When he and Felix returned to the pizzeria, they hurried to tell Jeongin everything, and Jisung a little later, recounting how handsome the omega was and how good he smelled. Jisung and Hyunjin had never been so on such the same page.

As they were leaving, the four alphas were still talking about it as they put away their work clothes and gathered their belongings from their lockers, thinking they were alone. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.

“What omega?” asked Seungmin, startling the four alphas.

They all looked at each other at the same time, and as if with a single mind, they grabbed Seungmin and pinned him against the lockers. “Don’t say anything about what you heard!”

Seungmin broke free from their grip. “Let go of me!” He said before smoothing out his clothes with his hands. “Why would I tell anyone anything?”

The alphas looked at each other again. “Sorry...” Felix said.

“But that doesn't mean I don't want to know!” Seungmin said, determined. The alphas rolled their eyes and began yet another full explanation.

The next day, the five alphas put the same plan into action as the day before. Jisung and Seungmin got ready to leave on their mission, but at the last moment, just as they were about to go out, they were interrupted.

“Seungmin? You don't have any orders to carry out, do you?” The two alphas looked at each other. They thought they had prepared everything and were being careful enough to escape Changbin, but the slightly older alpha was far too observant not to notice their scheming.

There was a long silence, and Changbin was the first to give up. “Go, but I hope you have a solid explanation if the boss catches you.”

Seungmin and Jisung nodded and quickly took off, running for their lives.

They hid as usual, and Seungmin rang the doorbell. This time he heard nothing, so he turned to Jisung, who told him to ring again. The lights in the house were on, so the omega must have been there.

After a few seconds that seemed like an eternity, the door opened. “Sorry, I was... What is it?”

Seungmin found himself speechless in front of the omega, and his shyness took over. “S-sorry... Here's your pizza!” And he left immediately.

Once back at the pizzeria, the two alphas, accompanied by Hyunjin and Felix, waited for a moment when the boss wasn't around to explain everything to Changbin.

“Do you want to... see him too?” asked Felix, who got a slight nudge from Jisung. “What! At this point, it's better to ask directly!”

Changbin obviously wanted to see which omega had mesmerized the five youngest alphas to the point of bringing him free pizza every day, so they came up with another plan, but he warned them about a new obstacle: Lee Minho.

Minho was the oldest of those working at the pizzeria, and his age gave him a certain authority... He clearly scared the younger ones sometimes.

On the sixth night, Minho was taking orders, and they knew they would have to be extra cunning to avoid getting caught.

The plan unfolded as follows: Felix distracted Minho by telling him that the boss was calling him to the stockroom. The alpha would then leave his post for a few minutes, giving Felix time to create a new order for the omega's house. Then, when Minho returned, Changbin immediately volunteered and took the order. All the other alphas, who had also gone out on deliveries, would join Changbin in the hideout near Chan's house.

Changbin headed for the door and rang the bell confidently. However, when the door opened, he couldn't help but blush. He quickly regained his composure and handed the pizza to the omega, who seemed to be getting used to having pizza delivered. “Here's your pizza!”

“Hm... Excuse me... Are you sure this is for me?” asked the omega, looking worried.

Changbin blushed even more. “Yes, of course! Have a good evening!” And he left immediately.

The six alphas returned at the same time and found themselves face to face with Minho, who looked at them with a raised eyebrow.

“I didn't know it takes six people to deliver a single pizza?”

The six alphas looked at each other, and Jeongin tried to speak first. “We just happened to come back from our deliveries together, it's just a coincidence.”

Minho didn't respond to this blatant lie, and simply turned his screen, showing a small red dot on a map. “It's the boss's new toy to ‘improve our efficiency’ during deliveries.”

“Trackers?” said Changbin, amazed by the lengths their boss would go to to make sure they did their job properly. It was almost scary...

The alphas' faces turned to horror when they realized Minho had exposed them.

“There's an explanation!” Jisung began, stammering.

Hyunjin followed, “It's true!! And it's totally justified!”

“Really?” Minho asked, his face betraying no emotion.

A new silence fell over the alphas. Minho was the first to break it, “I'm not going to tell the boss everything, after all, it's not my problem, but I am waiting to hear the ‘explanation’ that justifies all of you going to the same place in the middle of the night during your working hours.”

All the alphas went back to work until closing time, when they gathered in the back, and Jisung was the first, pushed by the others, to begin the explanation.

“So, you see, there's this MILF who lives...” He was immediately interrupted by Felix, who smacked his shoulder. “Ouch!” Jisung exclaimed in pain, “Why did you hit me?!”

“Don't use the term ‘MILF,’ it's insulting!” said the Australian, raising his voice. The other alphas, except Minho who was confused, agreed.

“Well, what should I call him in my explanation?”

“Chan,” Hyunjin replied, reasonably.

“Or the charming omega older than us, who smells really good,” said Felix, convinced of his new title.

“Wait,” Minho interrupted. “You all disappeared like that for an omega?” He was clearly very perplexed by this explanation.

“Yes, but listen to us, Hyung,” Changbin continued. “He's not just any omega!”

“He's really cute,” said Seungmin.

“And he smells so good, it's intoxicating,” added Jeongin.

“And he has these big, soft eyes that look at us every time we bring him pizza!” Hyunjin added.

“He orders pizza every night?” Minho asked, sensing that he wasn't getting the whole story. None of the alphas in question answered. “So they're asking you to bring him pizza every night...”

“No!” they all replied at once.

“Then what? There must be a reason for you all to go there together!”

All eyes turned to Jisung, and the alpha finally sighed. Looking at the floor, he confessed, “We bring him free pizza every night in the hope of seeing him for a moment...”

Minho couldn't help but bury his face in his hands. “You're doing all this in the hope of seeing an omega! What next? Don't tell me you think this is some kind of courting? Please reassure me.”

None of the alphas dared to speak for a long minute, before Jeongin finally did. “Hyung, you should see him... Really, it's impossible not to fall under his spell.”

“Yes, really, hyung, you should come with us tomorrow night!” said Felix.

Minho sighed, overwhelmed. “Okay, but only if you promise it's the last time! Otherwise we'll all get fired.”

They all replied with a more or less sincere “promise,” none of them seeming to really want to give up on the mysterious Chan.

Minho accompanied them as promised, and they went to the omega's house, Minho holding the pizza box tightly in his hands, while the other seven hid nearby.

Minho rang the doorbell, and it didn't take long for the door to open. The alpha immediately fell under the spell of the omega who opened the door, his eyes taking in every little detail of the omega, including what his silk robe revealed. However, he kept his cool and handed the pizza to the omega, who accepted it with resignation.

As he turned to leave, however, the omega's hand grabbed the alpha's sleeve. “Would you like to... share? I've been getting pizza for a week now, and it's too much for one person...” The omega's grip on the sleeve was weak, and his fingers eventually slipped over Minho's. “Sorry—” he said, releasing Minho, then lowering his eyes and bringing his hand back to his side.

Minho didn't know how to respond. Part of him wanted more than anything to stay with the omega, but another part of him, his eyes resting on the others hiding a little further away, remained rational and couldn't forget their plan so quickly.

“I'll be back, I promise,” Minho said softly in the night, but loud enough for Chan to hear, the omega looking up at the alpha. He was about to say something, but Minho was quicker. He said goodbye to Chan and left immediately.

All the alphas returned to the pizzeria, shaken but also with stars in their eyes at the thought of seeing the beautiful omega again.

The next day, however, they didn't expect the boss to gather them together before their shift. “You seven, in my office!”

The seven alphas found themselves lined up in the boss's office, with him yelling at them that he knew everything and that they were lucky he wasn't calling the police. They were all fired on the spot and found themselves standing in front of the pizzeria, distraught.

“What do we do now?” Changbin asked, but no one knew how to answer.

That's how they found themselves in front of the omega's house, clumsily hiding behind a bush. They had brought nothing that would justify ringing the doorbell at this hour. They were just hoping for a sign, almost forgetting that they had all lost their part-time jobs.

For a moment, they stood there, scanning the house for any sign of the omega, until a movement of the curtains in front of one of the windows caused a commotion among the alphas, who fell one after the other to the ground, revealing their hiding place.

That's when the door opened, and Chan stood there, looking at the seven alphas on the floor with a sorry expression. “Hm... Would you like to come in?”
