Cat: Cat is sharing their location
Seungmin felt his stomach drop as he read the text in the group chat. He tapped to view Minho's location and took off in that direction. A notification popped up that Jisung was driving and he knew the human must be heading there as well. Minho wouldn't have sent his location without a reason.
The closer he got with no further calls and texts the more his stomach rolled. His chest was tight as he ran, his own vampire speed faster than taking the car.
As he got closer he started catching a faint, but all too familiar scent and his panic skyrocketed. He picked up speed as much as he could, to get there faster. His feet stumbling to a stop as he broke through the tree line and was fully hit with the scent.
Seungmin froze for only a moment before rushing forward, "Minho!" he yelled. The smell of his boyfriends blood flooding his nostrils.
"Seungmin-ah, you came," Minho said with a strained voice and turned to look at him. He was wearing dark jeans and a dark t-shirt, but it did nothing to hide the way it clung to his chest and stomach wetly.
Seungmin's eyes dilated his body reacting instinctively at the sight and smell of the hybrids blood. He fought to push down his instincts as he made his way over to his boyfriend. He couldn't smell anything past the overwhelming amount of blood.
"What happened, Minho? We need to get you to the hospital. You know I can't heal these wounds. We need to go," Seungmin was trying to remain calm, but started to lose it when the panther shook his head.
"I don't know where he went Seungminnie," Minho rasped out. Seungmin realized then that his next target had fought back and escaped.
"We'll worry about it later. Please we need to get you to the hospital," The vampire quickly scooped the hybrid up into his arms causing him to gasp and make a face of pain. "I'm sorry, love."
Seungmin didn't make it more than a few feet before Minho was coughing spitting warm blood across his chest and Seungmin's face. The vampire set the hybrid on the ground and tried to pull himself together.
There was so much blood.
So much blood.
Seungmin stuck his tongue out to wet his lips and immediately regretted his decision. The taste of his boyfriends blood was setting something feral off in his mind and he was struggling to lock it down.
His vision blurred with red spots and he grabbed his head fighting his own instincts as his boyfriend bled out on the ground. He vaguely heard the sound of tires screeching over the sound of blood rushing in his ears.
A hard slap across his face suddenly pulled him back and he blinked at his other boyfriend. Jisung stood in front of him, hand up ready to slap him again. "Get yourself together."
Seungmin heard the sound of Minho wheezing on the ground and rushed over again pulling the neck of his shirt over his nose and mouth in an attempt to block the smell.
"Take him to the hospital Seung, you're faster than the car," Jisung demanded not wasting any time.
The vampire looked up at him, "I can't. I already tried. He can't handle it…and neither can I. I can't carry him in this state." Seungmin was still fighting the internal battle as he stared at Jisung. He was ashamed of himself. Ashamed at his lack of control.
The human walked away and pulled his phone out. Seungmin couldn't hear what he was saying over the blood rushing in his ears once again. It took a moment for him to notice a warm hand touching his arm, but he found Minho staring at him.
"It's OK Seungmin-ah," the hybrid tried to smile at him, but blood coated his teeth and he coughed again. Seungmin grabbed the hybrids hand and just stared. In all his years of life. In all the people he's lost. He still didn't know what to do in this instant.
Jisung reappeared by their side and stripped his shirt off to hold it against Minho's stomach. "There's an ambulance on their way. We have to try and stop the bleeding in the meantime."
Seungmin watched as Jisung took control. This was his element. He knew what he was doing. They didn't need the vampire there. What good was he anyways. An emergency and all he can think about is his boyfriends blood.
His blood.
His blood.
Minho squeezed his hand pulling him back from the brink again. "I love you," he said staring into Seungmin's eyes for a moment before shifting his gaze to the human. "Both of you."
"You can tell us that again when you're recovering in the hospital. The ambulance will be here any minute," Jisung said and Seungmin didn't understand how he sounded so calm.
Their boyfriend laid on the ground bleeding out. His skin getting paler by the second. Coughing up blood. And the human was calm while the vampire was losing it.
Minho coughed violently and Seungmin could see the panic in his eyes. "I'm scared Sung-ah," he said quietly tears forming in his eyes.
Jisung glanced at his face before focusing on applying more pressure. "Don't be scared. You'll be fine. I know it."
"You can't go anywhere. You promised you'd never leave me. Not until the day I die. You said that. So, you have to be OK. You can't break your promise," Seungmin added desperately his voice strained.
Minho stared at him for a moment and Seungmin could've sworn he watched him get paler. "I'll find you."
In the distance he could hear sirens. They were getting close.
"No you won't, because you're not going anywhere. You can't give up. You can't quit fighting, Minho." Jisung was slowly starting to lose it. Seungmin could hear it in his voice.
"I'll. Find. You," Minho repeated still staring at Seungmin like he was making a promise. The vampire didn't respond just maintaining eye contact. The sound of the siren's getting louder.
Find
You
Seungmin watched as the light seemed to leave his eyes. As the hybrid stared lifelessly at him his warm hand dropping from the vampires arm. "No. No. No. No. No. You can't go. I'm not ready to say goodbye. I don't want to. Please kitten. Please," Seungmin grabbed Minho's face willing him to blink. To smile. To tell him he's just a pabo dog. To do anything that indicated he was still alive.
Jisung shoved him out of the way and started chest compressions trying to force life back into him. The vampire could feel it though. He didn't know what it was, but it was gone. It no longer felt like the panther hybrid was there despite his body being right in front of him. Still staring with those dull lifeless eyes.
Seungmin wasn't sure how long this continued for. He didn't know when the paramedics arrived. He heard them moving he could hear them talking, but he couldn't tear his eyes away from Minho's.
The paramedics called it before they ever loaded his body into the ambulance. Seungmin stood to the side watching. The smell of his boyfriends blood still in the air. Still on his skin. Burrowing into his mind.
Jisung stared at the vampire and shook his head. He has what looked like disgust written on his face and Seungmin couldn't blame him. He was useless. In all his years of life. In all the things he's done and people he has lost. He couldn't save the most important person in their lives.
He couldn't stand to see his other boyfriend. To see the looks he was giving him. He couldn't handle the judgment for being useless from the only other person that mattered in his life.
Seungmin took a step back watching Jisung for a moment longer before taking off into the woods.

Seungmin stared at the front door willing himself to open it. He hadn't been home since he took off into the woods that day. He had abandoned Jisung to deal with everything and he wasn't sure he was ready to face him yet.
The vampire quietly opened the door straining his senses for a sign that his boyfriend was home and stumbled at the smell. He wasn't expecting the house to still smell so strongly of Minho. Of the cologne the hybrid always wore. He closed his eyes to get his bearings and missed Jisung quietly entering the room.
"You decided to come home," his voice was cold but raspy like he'd been crying. Seungmin looked up and found his boyfriend standing in the hall in one of Minho's t-shirts and sweats. His eyes were sunken and red from crying.
"Yeah," he said unsure where they stood. The vampire moved to take a step forward, but froze when the human put his hand out to stop him.
"You left," Jisung's voice was cold.
"I know"
"He was hunting. For you. And you left."
Seungmin couldn't say anything he just stared not prepared to hear Jisung out.
"You could barely control yourself while he was actively bleeding out. You abandoned him!"
"He was gone already, Ji," the vampire said quietly.
"You abandoned me. You disappeared and left me to figure everything out. Left me to mourn alone," Jisung's voice broke and Seungmin instinctively reached out to try and hold him. "Don't fucking touch me!" Jisung snapped pulling away from the vampire with a glare.
The human turned and walked back upstairs to their shared bedroom slamming and locking the door behind him. Effectively locking the vampire out of the room and his companionship.
Seungmin followed and leaned his forehead against the door listening to the sounds of the sobs on the other side. "I'm sorry," was all he could offer and he hoped his boyfriend could hear him.
The vampire moved to the living room and laid on the couch staring blankly at the ceiling. Jisung was right. Everything was his fault. If he had just gone about getting the blood himself. If he had just convinced Minho everything he was doing was unnecessary. If he had, had more control he could've run him to the hospital. He abandoned Jisung as well. In the one moment he needed him most and instead he left.
Seungmin dozed off on the couch wondering if he had destroyed everything he had ever cared about. Wondering if Minho was the piece holding everything together and if it would all come crumbling down without him.
In his barely conscious state he thought he could smell his now dead boyfriend. Thought he could feel his fingertips brush the hair off his forehead. He hoped when he woke up he would realize everything was just a bad dream.
He fell asleep with Minho's promise repeating in his mind.
I'll find you.

Seungmin moved into Jisung's old room from when he first came to live with them. He couldn't continue to sleep on the couch and Jisung was still locking him out of the bedroom. Not that he blamed him.
He had to figure out the best way to get food for himself now. Minho was right fresh blood was always best, but he was going to have to see if he could get something from the local blood bank. Since he had been home he had been surviving on the juice pouches Minho had last stocked.
The vampire thought back to the last time he had a full meal.
It was after he had left. He had been wandering aimlessly and ended up at a random cafe on the outskirts of town. When he entered he had only intended to get a coffee.
Until he smelled it. The barista gave him a friendly smile, but all Seungmin could focus on was the smell of Minho's blood somewhere on the man making his coffee. He was about the same size as his boyfriend, but looked a bit younger. He had to have taken the panther by surprise.
Seungmin had taken his coffee and waited outside for the man to leave. As soon as the barista was out the door the vampire was on him. He didn't ask questions he didn't need an explanation. He could smell his boyfriends blood under the other mans fingernails. It was still on his shoes. The only way he could smell like that is if it was him.
The vampire had sunk his teeth into the other mans neck and covered the mans mouth. He didn't release the toxins that made the bite feel pleasurable. He made sure he could feel every drop of blood leaving his body. Feel the way his veins struggled and hurt.
When he was full he released the man. He watched as he stumbled away still bleeding. Let the man believe he was escaping and just before he reached a road he ripped his throat out. Seungmin would never let the man live and with all the times he helped Minho hide a body. He knew no one was ever going to find the barista.
Seungmin shook his head he should probably tell Jisung that the man was dead. He was probably using his job to investigate and search for him. There was no point in wasting his time.
Except the human was still avoiding him. He was like a ghost in the house wearing Minho's clothes anytime he wasn't in uniform. He only left the bedroom to eat, usually cup ramen, or go to work. Seungmin was worried about him, but he wasn't sure if he should even attempt to approach him yet.
Surely if he just gave him time he would come around.

The house still smelled like Minho, Jisung was still avoiding him, and the blood from the blood bank tasted old, but was still better than nothing. The room felt cold at night, despite the heat being on and the mountain of blankets he had acquired.
He missed the panther and humans warmth.
4 weeks 2 days
Seungmin yearned to be near the human. He missed his body heat. His smile and his cheeks. Were they only reserved for Minho? Was he no longer allowed to love him?
The vampire had waited for Jisung to come out. He wanted to talk to him. To see him. To hold him.
When the human entered the kitchen he paused only for a moment when he saw Seungmin standing there before grabbing another cup noodle and starting to make it. He didn't acknowledge the other man standing in the room watching him.
The vampire had frozen. He had planned to talk to try and work it out. Yet when the moment came he got lost. He finally realized that the reason the house still smelled so strongly of the panther was because of Jisung.
He knew the human had been wearing Minho's clothes. That much was obvious. He hadn't realized Jisung had taken to wearing the hybrids favorite cologne. When he caught the scent his stomach flipped and he couldn't form words.
They both missed Minho. They were both mourning, but how could Seungmin bring them back together?

The blood bank gave him panther hybrid blood. He threw up from the smell and ended up dumping it down the drain.
He asked them to add a note that he can't have that specific kind in the future.

"Who are you," he asked the black kitten staring at him from the kitchen counter as if it could respond.
The kitten simply tilted its head and gave a small "meow" like it was answering the question.
Seungmin sighed wondering why he was attempting to talk to the random feline. "Jisung! Why is there a cat?" He called out hoping to get a real answer.
The vampire was still sleeping in the other room and the human still wasn't really acknowledging him. He didn't know at this point if Jisung even still wanted him, but he would never ask him to leave. At least this way he could keep an eye on the human and make sure he was OK.
Jisung appeared in the doorway and blinked at Seungmin and then the cat. "That's Pudding," he said as if it would answer the question.
"OK, why is Pudding sitting on the kitchen counter in my house," the vampire asked frustration lacing his voice.
"Our house," Jisung corrected staring at Seungmin with poison in his gaze. "He's probably hungry. I found him at Minho's cafe. He was trying to steal my pudding," the human added looking at the cat again. Seungmin didn't miss the fond look the human had. A look he used to be on the receiving end of.
"So, you brought it home?"
"Minho would've wanted me to."
Seungmin just stared before sighing and walking away. They could barely take care of themselves. Jisung had at least upgraded from cup ramen to frozen dinners and Seungmin had the blood bank. They didn't seem to have each other though, but he didn't want to argue with the human over a stupid cat.

Seungmin stared at the kitten now sleeping in his lap on the couch. He couldn't bring himself to move and disturb him.
The kitten suddenly reached its little paw out and carefully sunk its claws into his thigh and bite him. Like muscle memory the vampire immediately started petting the kitten paying special attention to the little part behind its ears. Minho's favorite place for him to pet when they would watch movies.
Staring at the little black kitten sleeping in his lap and demanding pets the way Minho always had, the vampire felt his eyes start to water. He closed his eyes and just listened to the kitten purr and let himself imagine it was the hybrid instead.
Suddenly a sob tore through his body. He had been holding everything in since he got home. He hadn't felt like he was allowed to cry. To fully mourn. Not when it was his fault the hybrid had died. He felt the kitten move and opened his eyes to find himself nose to nose with the little feline.
Seungmin shifted to lay on the couch with the little cat purring away on his chest staring intently at his face. After a while he felt his eyes get heavy and he allowed himself to doze off to ease the headache forming from crying.
Once again on the brink of sleep he swore he could smell Minho's cologne get stronger and could feel his boyfriend run his finger gently over the tear stains on his face.

He woke up still on the couch with the kitten on his chest, but found Jisung asleep on the floor next to them like he had fallen asleep waiting. Seungmin realized that maybe he hadn't been dreaming after all. It was just the wrong boyfriend each time as he could only smell Minho's cologne that the human had taken to wearing.

Jisung opened Seungmin's door without knocking causing him to jump. The kitten resting on his chest dug his claws in, in retaliation. For a moment neither of them said a word, Jisung just watching as the vampire slowly removed the kittens claws from his chest and shirt.
"Did you need something?"
"We need to talk."
The two spoke at the same time and Seungmin felt his stomach roll. Was Jisung wanting to leave? Was he wanting to break up? They haven't been good to each other since Minho…left….but he still didn't want the human to leave. He could feel himself start spiraling and the kitten bumped his nose against the vampires chin.
Seungmin blinked at the kitten and sat up supporting the cats weight. "OK."
"I can't keep on like this, Seungmin," Jisung started and the vampire tried not to react. He did want to leave him. He was going to be alone again. He would take the kitten and leave.
"I'm sorry," they spoke at the same time again and paused.
"I'm sorry. I understand. I won't make you stay. It's my fault. Everything is my fault," Seungmin was quiet barely containing the tears in his throat.
"Seungmin, wait. That's not what I want," Jisung sighed and sat on the bed next to the vampire. He took a moment to scratch the kitten behind the ears before continuing. "I don't want to leave. I want to fix this. Minho is not the only man I love in this relationship and I hope he wasn't for you either."
Seungmin stared at him his chest tight keeping him from forming coherent words.
"I'm sorry. I never should have said it was your fault. It wasn't. Minho never had to hunt for you he wanted to. He insisted on it I know that," Jisung paused and took a deep breath. "I also know you tried. You tried to help. Even if you had been able to run him you said yourself he couldn't handle it. Baby, I'm sorry."
Seungmin took a deep breath, "I'm sorry I left. I shouldn't have left you to deal with everything. I couldn't handle…anything. He was the first person I loved in centuries. He promised not to leave me. Promised he wouldn't leave me alone again," he felt a tear slip down his face and drip onto the kitten. The kitten shook its head disgruntled from the drop landing on its head.
"And he didn't leave you alone," Jisung touched Seungmin's face wiping the tears away. "I'm still here. I'm not going anywhere. Not for a very long time. He wouldn't have left if he could have helped it either."
Jisung shifted his attention down to the kitten nuzzling into Seungmin's chest. "He reminds me of Minho. All the way down to how he always tries to steal my pudding."
Seungmin laughed, "he bites me if I don't scratch behind his ears just like Minho used to."
"Maybe it is Minho. Maybe he was reincarnated as Pudding," Jisung said still staring at the feline.
I'll find you
"Reincarnation isn't real. As long as I have been alive no one has ever come back," Seungmin answered sadly looking down at the kitten again.
I'll find you
Jisung hummed, "maybe not yet, but if anyone was going to force his way back it would be Minho."
I'll find you
"Will you move back into the room?"
"Do you want me to?"
"Of course I do"
Jisung touched Seungmin's face causing the vampire to lift his gaze to him. The human kissed him and he felt tears slip down his face again. He was so warm. So soft. Seungmin leaned in deepening the kiss and maneuvering to let the kitten drop to the floor.
With the kitten gone Seungmin felt Jisung pulling him closer by the shirt lowering them into a lying position on the bed. The vampire tangled his fingers into the humans hair deepening the kiss feeling arms wrap around his neck. He was so warm. So warm. He felt himself melting into his touch.
Seungmin felt Jisung slowly run his hands up his chest and try to remove his shirt. "I missed you," Jisung breathed as he pulled Seungmin's shirt over his head quickly followed by his own.
The two melted into each other slowly removing articles of clothing as they remembered the feeling of each others touch.
Jisung reached for the nightstand and pulled out a bottle of lube and Seungmin stared at it. "How long has that been there?"
"Not that long. Minho took to hiding lube all over the house. He was tired of looking for it all the time. There's one next to the peanut butter in the pantry too," Jisung said like it was the most normal thing in the world. Though, knowing Minho, it was something pretty normal for him.
Seungmin laughed, "No wonder he always had lube handy. I never knew where it started appearing from." He took the lube and applied some to his fingers rubbing them together to warm it a little. Jisung kissed him deeply as he felt one finger slowly slide into him pulling a moan from his throat.
They continued like this slow with Jisung digging his nails into Seungmin's back with each finger he added it. "Please. Need you," Jisung whined out between kisses.
The vampire leaned back removing his fingers from Jisung with a slow drag before adding lube and lining himself up. They both moaned as he slowly pressed into the human until he bottomed out. He stayed like that for a moment with his eyes closed just feeling Jisung wrapped around him.
Seungmin lowered his face to the human's neck kissing it as he slowly started thrusting into him. "Bite me. Please Puppy," was all he needed to hear to sink his teeth into Jisung's neck pulling a long moan from the man.
He stayed lost in the moment careful not to take too much blood with each thrust of his hips. Jisung wrapped his legs around him digging his nails into his broad shoulders every time he brushed his prostate.
"I'm close"
That was all the warning he got before he felt Jisung cum between them and clench down around him. Seungmin managed a few more thrusts before emptying into the human with a groan.
"I love you," Seungmin said quietly licking the humans neck to help close the wounds he made.
"I love you, too."
"I miss him"
"I know, Baby. I miss him too," Jisung ran his fingertips up Seungmin's spine. "We'll find him. The man who killed Minho. We've been searching."
Seungmin rolled off the human and stared at the ceiling, "he's dead."
Jisung looked over at him, "how do you know?"
"I found him. By accident honestly, but I know it was him. He still smelled like Minho. I could smell his blood under his fingernails. On his shoes," Seungmin looked over to meet the human's eyes. "I ripped his throat out. They'll never find his body."
"Good," Jisung said and he meant it. He hoped the man suffered and he was glad it was Seungmin that brought him to his end. Just as Minho had intended. "Lets go get cleaned up and watch a movie."
The two showered together just standing in the warm water until it started to cool. They both dressed and Seungmin moved to the living room picking a random horror movie.
Jisung came in from the kitchen curling into the vampires side with a bowl of popcorn and chocolate pieces. He looked at the screen then over at Seungmin who was staring at the bowl and they smiled sadly at each other.
It felt like something was missing. That someone was missing, but there was nothing they could do about that now.
Seungmin pressed play on the movie and the kitten jumped up stretching its little body out across their laps. His little head on Seungmin's thigh and his little butt on Jisung's.
It wasn't the same, but something about it just felt right.
I'll find you
3 months 5 days
Jisung insisted they celebrate their birthday's together. Seungmin never really cared about his birthday. At least not at this point in his life, but the human felt like it was a big deal.
He thought Ji might just be looking for something happy. Something to help get them out of this mourning period. The human had stopped wearing Minho's cologne all the time. While the vampire was sad the hybrids scent was starting to fade, he was happy to be able to smell the human more clearly again.
It seemed like they had both just been waiting for each other, because the mourning got easier after they reconciled. They didn't miss him any less. They didn't forget him. Yet it was easier, like they were sharing the burden of his memory.
The kitten certainly helped as it was constantly running around keeping them on their toes. Demanding pets or snacks or cuddles. Seungmin watched as the kitchen shook its little butt trying to catch the laser pointer he had shining on the wall.
The couple had spent the day together as that is what Jisung wanted to do. They went to a movie, had a picnic at the park, and went to dinner. The human said he had a surprise for Seungmin and he wasn't sure what to expect from that.
Seungmin had to admit it had been a good day. It had been a while since they had truly had fun together, or even by themselves really. He bent down to pet Pudding, but froze when he heard a loud crash. The scent hit him before Jisung's screams did.
He raced up the stairs following the sound of Jisung's screams and blood permeating the air. The vampire burst through their bedroom door to find his boyfriend curled up on the floor screaming and a pool of blood forming around him.
"Jisung!" Seungmin's mind was going a mile a minute trying to figure out what happened and scared he was going to lose the human as well. He crouched next to his boyfriend and forced him to roll so he could see what was happening.
As soon as Jisung shifted on to his back the vampire felt warm liquid spray across his face. He worked to hold back all of his instincts and ignored his boyfriends blood dripping down his face. He couldn't do this again.
He couldn't be useless again.
Jisung was clutching his right hand close to his chest and Seungmin realized it was missing a finger. "What the fuck happened, Jisung?" he asked in distress as he frantically looked around for the missing finger. It could maybe be reattached, right?
He didn't see anything on the floor, but Jisung and a chair he knocked over. The vampire gave up his search quickly as the pool of blood around his boyfriend grew bigger. "We've got to go, Ji." He wrapped a random shirt he grabbed around his boyfriends hand before picking him up in his arms.
Jisung whined and Seungmin wasn't sure if that was an improvement over his screaming. "Keep your hand close to your chest." The vampire took off not bothering with the car. He wasn't going to waste any unnecessary time this time around.
Seungmin rushed through the emergency room doors carrying Jisung to the counter. "We need help, please! My boyfriend lost his finger. I don't know what happened. He won't stop bleeding!"
A nurse rushed around the counter instructing him to set Jisung into the wheelchair and just like that he was gone. They wouldn't let Seungmin go back with him, so he remained in the waiting area pacing.
It was just a finger he should be fine. Seungmin knew this. Yet, his heart was still racing. There was so much blood it was giving him flashbacks to Minho and how useless he had been in that moment.
He couldn't get his mind to clear and calm down at all until a nurse quietly offered him a scrub top. The vampire glanced down and realized his shirt was covered in his boyfriends blood from the run to the hospital.
By the time he finished changing and came back to the waiting room a doctor was looking for him to bring him back to Jisung. Seungmin felt himself relax further now that he was no longer covered in his boyfriends blood and he could see that he was fine.
The vampire eyed the bandaged hand sitting on Jisung's lap and the lack of a pointer finger. He made a mental note that he still needed to look for it when they got home.
"Now that we've gotten your hand stabilized can you explain to us what happened?" The doctor asked moving over to his computer to document it.
Jisung's eyes went wide and he glanced between Seungmin and the doctor. "I would rather not," he said quietly.
"Ji, what happened," Seungmin said with an authoritative tone wanting to know so they can avoid it again.
The human sighed exasperatedly, "See. What happened was…," Jisung trailed off for a moment averting his gaze to the ceiling and Seungmin knew he was about to say something outrageous.
"I wanted to try something so I climbed on a chair to get a box of," he paused and glanced at the doctor, "stuff off the top of the closet." Seungmin blinked knowing the only box up there had toys he and Minho had used. Jisung hadn't shown interest in them before.
"Please continue."
"I took a couple…items…out and hooked them onto my pointer finger so I wouldn't drop them while I looked for other things. Somehow I lost my balance and caused the whole chair to topple over. Apparently the…items…on my finger were still caught in something on the closet when I fell. As I hit the floor, apparently my finger did not come with me," Jisung continued trying not to give too much detail.
Seungmin wracked his brain trying to think what he could have hooked to his finger in that box. "Can you elaborate as to what the item that was hooked onto your finger was?" The doctor asked and suddenly Seungmin knew.
"Jisung," he paused and waited for his boyfriend to look at him. "Did you put Min's metal nipple clamps on your finger?" Jisung's face drained of color and the doctor stared at Seungmin confused.
"I-"
"Don't lie to me, Ji."
The human stared down at his legs on the bed, but Seungmin didn't miss the red flush coloring his cheeks. "Yes, I put the nipple clamps on my finger. I was seeing how tight they would go. Then I just left them on as I was looking for other things."
"What the f-," the doctor cut himself off before completing that sentence. Seungmin stared incredulous and decided he was getting rid of those clamps as clearly they were dangerous.
The doctor typed into the computer for a while before turning to look at the couple. "I'm going to release you. Since we didn't reattach the finger and we just closed the wound we don't need to keep you for observation. You will need to keep the bandage dry for the next 48 hours. After that you can gently wash it with soap and water, but do not soak it. Try to keep your hand elevated above your heart as much as possible to reduce swelling and throbbing. Avoid activities that could reopen the wound, such as the original activity you might have intended on using those nipple clamps for initially," Jisung seemed to choke on his own spit listening to the doctor his face getting impossibly more red.
"Let's schedule a follow up in 2 weeks to hopefully remove the stitches. Try to wiggle your other fingers periodically to maintain circulation and joint flexibility to avoid stiffness setting in," the doctor turned to Seungmin. "He is already on pain medication so I'm giving this to you. This is a prescription for a pain medication and an antibiotic. Please make sure he takes both as instructed."
Seungmin took the prescription and stuck it in his pocket. He'd have to run home to get the car so he can get Ji home and pick up the medications and anything else they might need.
"Please come back if there's any signs of infection, circulation issues, new numbness, or it reopens and the bleeding soaks through the bandage." He handed all the discharge paperwork and information to Seungmin. "Have a great rest of your day."
Seungmin watched the doctor leave and heard him mumbling about nipple clamps. They would definitely be the talk of the hospital tonight. "The nipple clamps?" Seungmin asked exasperatedly staring at his boyfriend. "I'm getting rid of them."
"No wait! Listen," Jisung floundered for his words not sure how to defend himself or really explain how it happened.
"I'm going to run back and grab the car and I'll be back in a few minutes to get you." Jisung nodded his cheeks still flushed in embarrassment.
The vampire made it back to the house and grabbed a change of clothes for Jisung and changed his own shirt. As he went to walk out of the room he remembered what his boyfriend said and looked back at the top of the closet. There, hanging from two metal nipple clamps, was his pointer finger just like he had said. He untangled the clamps from where they were still hooked onto something on the top of the closet and opted to throw the finger and everything into a bag to bring back to the hospital so they could dispose of it.
Seungmin left the finger and clamps with a nurse before grabbing Jisung and bringing him out to the car and heading to get his medication.
"Why did you tighten them on your finger," Seungmin asked breaking the silence as he was still dumbstruck by the situation.
"Listen, I wanted to see if it hurt," Jisung said simply in explanation.
Seungmin blinked a few times before speaking, "You do know that how it feels on your finger is not the same as your nipple, right?"
Jisung stared at him and out of the corner of his eye he saw his boyfriends face start to turn red again. "I hadn't thought of that," Seungmin could hear the embarrassment in his boyfriends voice.
"Well I got rid of them. I found left them attached to your finger when I gave it to the nurse. If you want to try them we can get different ones."
"No!" Jisung said slight panic lacing his voice. "Those were Minho's! He wouldn't want you to just throw them away! We have to go back!"
Seungmin softened slightly, "Minho would agree that they needed to go and that we can try different ones. He also wouldn't want to take the chance of you getting hurt again. Ji, you lost your whole finger. Imagine what could've happened to your nipple."
His boyfriend placed his hand against his chest grimacing at the thought, but didn't say anything else. Seungmin grabbed food for Jisung on the way home and had him sit at the table and eat while he cleaned up the bedroom of all traces of what happened.
Once the human was full they both got ready for bed and fell asleep quickly now that all the adrenaline had left their bodies. The kitten curled up like the littlest spoon in front of Jisung. Pushing his little body so it laid between the humans stomach and the vampires hand.
4 Months 12 days
It was Minho's birthday. Despite, him not being here Jisung still insisted on celebrating. He planned everything to do what he thought the panther would've wanted to do.
They went and got pudding from Minho's favorite cafe. Went to a shelter just to spend time with cats. Saw a random new horror movie in theaters. Got dinner at Jisung's favorite restaurant as they know the hybrid would have insisted the human choose.
Then finally they ended up at the cemetery sitting in front of his headstone. They didn't say anything for a long time just existing in the same space. Seungmin didn't think it felt like Minho was there, but Jisung seemed to take comfort from it.
Staring at the headstone in silence it started to weigh on Seungmin. "Ji, would you consider letting me change you?"
Jisung looked over at him, "what do you mean?"
"I could turn you. You could be a vampire like me," Seungmin's voice was quiet and vulnerable.
The human stared at him and gave him a small smile, "I can't in this lifetime. It feels like this is my first life. I have so many more to live through."
"Reincarnation isn't real, Ji. Please I don't want to be alone again," Seungmin's voice broke as he stared at his boyfriend.
"I'll find you. I promise."
That stupid promise again. Seungmin didn't understand why they both were insistent that reincarnation was real. He had been alive for centuries and no one had ever come back. He's lost so many people surely he would have seen someone again if reincarnation was real.
"Let's go home and watch something," Jisung said standing up and wiping the grass and dirt off his pants.
Seungmin took a moment to stare at his boyfriends hand. At the missing finger. He was so fragile. Human's were so fragile.
Jisung held his good hand out to help the vampire up and he took it. They walked back to the car together hand in hand with Seungmin opening the door for his boyfriend.
They drove home quietly dropping the discussion. Jisung happily sang along with the radio. Upon arriving at home Jisung got popcorn and added chocolate pieces while Seungmin picked a movie.
This had become their normal routine on days they missed the hybrid. He had always liked to lounge around and watch things together with his bowl of popcorn and chocolate. Without, Minho stretched out between them Jisung cuddled up to Seungmin's side. Pudding rested across their laps and periodically tried to steal popcorn pieces.
This time Seungmin felt his eyes get heavy and he started to doze off very early into the movie.
Minho's voice once again repeating in his mind.
I'll find you
6 Months 12 Days
Jisung wasn't in the room when Seungmin woke up. He made his way downstairs with bare feet the cold floors making him regret his lack of socks. The sound of pots and pans curiously drawing him to the kitchen. No one had really cooked in the last six months. Seungmin doesn't enjoy normal human food and Jisung's been ordering take out or eating instant ramen.
"What are you doing?" He said leaning on the door frame watching his boyfriend hover by the stove with a spatula.
Jisung whirled around avoiding stepping on Pudding at his feet. "Merry Christmas! I'm making pancakes. I wanted to eat breakfast together."
Seungmin grimaced at the idea of eating human food. It didn't appeal to him in anyway.
"I watched Minho make pancakes for you a few times. I'm trying to make them with some of the blood you have in the fridge," he paused staring at the vampire with his big doe eyes. "We haven't eaten a meal together in a long time."
"I sit with you when we're both home," the vampire said gently.
Jisung shook his head, "It's not the same. Me eating while you just sit at the table. I miss us eating together."
Seungmin smiled and walked over to him wrapping his arms around the humans waist. "OK, Baby, let's eat breakfast together," he said and kissed his boyfriend.
The vampire went to work making coffee. That was always his job even with Minho. He was always told if he wasn't going to cook the least he could do was make coffee and do the dishes. He glanced over at Jisung and saw he was almost done with the pancakes so he carried both cups to the table.
The human could choose to sit anywhere, but always chose to sit to his left. They both unconsciously left the place across from Seungmin for Minho. Even if it was only in spirit.
Jisung proudly set both plates down and they began eating quietly. Seungmin didn't have the heart to tell him that they weren't good. He wasn't sure if it was the pancake or the blood or how he combined them. He would eat all of them and seconds if it would make his boyfriend happy though.
"They're not good are they," Jisung said more as a fact than as a question. The vampire just stared at him not wanting to lie, but also not wanting to hurt his feelings. "It's OK. Mine are gross too, there's no way yours aren't. I'm not sure what I did wrong though," he pouted glaring at his plate.
Seungmin laughed watching him, "I don't think anything I made would be any better. I don't know how Minho did it all the time."
"What will we eat today though? We can't order take out or go anywhere. Everywhere is going to be closed for Christmas," Jisung said still glaring at his pancakes.
Suddenly they heard the sound of their doorbell and Jisung jumped, "About that. I thought ahead," Seungmin said standing up from the table and heading to the front door.
"Merry Christmas Mr. and Mrs. Lee," he hugged Minho's parents as they came in the door. Jisung peaking out from the kitchen. They hadn't seen Minho's parents since the funeral. His parents were the only ones still around.
Jisung's parents weren't dead, but they didn't agree with the choices their son had made. They had always believed he would end up with a nice human girl and stopped speaking to him when he refused to leave Minho and Seungmin. The only thing he had heard from them after Minho died was their expressing good riddance. Jisung blocked them after that.
Seungmin's parents were long dead. They believed he had died at 25 when he was turned and went missing and he had thought it was better to just let them mourn and he disappeared.
Minho's parents though. Even after the death of their only son wanted to be part of their lives. They had reached out multiple times, but Seungmin had avoided meeting with them. He didn't think either of them had been ready to face Minho's parents again yet.
After he had left them alone on his birthday he felt it was only right to invite them to Christmas. "I'm so happy you invited us over! We've missed you!" Minho's mother beelined for Jisung and kissed his cheek when she hugged him. "What is that smell?"
"Jisung attempted to make pancakes. Some for himself and special ones for me. Neither turned out quite right," Seungmin answered and Jisung glared at him.
What have you two been eating without my Minho here to feed you?" His mother asked glancing between them.
"A lot of bagged blood and take out or instant ramen," Seungmin answered taking Minho's father's jacket and hanging it on the coatrack. Minho's father laughed shaking his head.
Jisung took Minho's mothers coat and she caught a glimpse of his hand. "Han Jisung what happened to your hand!" They hadn't told his parents about that incident and Seungmin laughed waiting to see what his boyfriend would say.
"Oh, uh, there was an accident. I got my finger caught in something and it ended up ripping my finger clean off. It was just before Seungminnie's birthday," Jisung explained in minimal detail his face turning red as he avoided eye contact by hanging her coat up.
Minho's mother huffed, "Get out of my Minho's kitchen I will make you pancakes. You too Seungmin. Who do you think helped him figure out how to make your food," she pushed them all out of the kitchen and instantly got to work on the pancakes.
The three men wandered into the dining room where Jisung subtly threw away both sets of pancakes on the table. Within minutes there were different scents coming from the kitchen and both Jisung and Mr. Lee's stomach's growled. The three conversed catching up on little things while they waited for Minho's mother.
About an hour later she appeared with a tray of pancakes but she also made bacon, hash browns and eggs. She came back a 2nd time with a separate tray she sat in front of Seungmin.
Seungmin didn't miss that Minho's parents both opted to sit on the right side of the table still leaving the chair across from him open. His eyes watered a little when he took a bite. It really was just like Minho's pancakes. Or at least as close as you can manage when using stored blood compared to blood fresh from the vein.
After a little while Pudding jumped up in the empty chair across from Seungmin and peaked at them over the table like he was looking for his own pancakes. Mrs. Lee laughed and placed a small piece of plain pancake in front of the kitten who ate it greedily.
After breakfast the four of them spent the day playing games and watching Christmas movies that the Lee's used to watch as a family. As it got late Seungmin led them to one of the spare rooms, a different one from the one Jisung used to stay in, so they could stay the night.
He made his way upstairs to Jisung and after changing climbed into bed. "Thank you for today. For inviting Minho's parents," Jisung said rolling to face Seungmin.
"I think we needed to see them as much as they needed to see us. We avoided them for far too long," Seungmin said quietly staring at his boyfriend. He gave him a small kiss and when Pudding jumped on the bed Jisung rolled so his back was to Seungmin. As most nights Seungmin held Jisung from behind, but Pudding rested between Seungmin's hand and Jisung's stomach.
8 Months 2 Days
Jisung asked if prosthetic fingers existed. He was struggling to come up with stories on how he lost his finger that didn't include nipple clamps.
Fell ice skating and someone skated over it.
Knife fight during a police chase.
Crushed it in a door.
He pouted when Seungmin simply laughed and walked away.
1 Year
Seungmin stood by the side of the road staring. Remembering. It had been one year exactly since Minho died in the street where the vampire now stood. Bleeding out and helpless.
It enraged him. It was easier to feel rage than to feel grief. Than to mourn.
Mourning would come later. When Jisung woke up and insisted they go to Minho's favorite cafe. It would come when they met with Minho's parents and paid their respects at his grave.
Fear would come when he would crawl into bed and once again ask the human to let him turn him. Once again the human would say no.
Resentment at the knowledge he would be alone again nestled into his heart. Resentment that no matter what the hybrid said, no matter what the human said they would leave him. No amount of love would or could bring them back.
Then he would push the resentment out to try and cherish the time he had left with Jisung. His time with Minho had been cut too short he couldn't waste his time with the human on trivial things.
Seungmin kissed the sleeping Jisung's temple and held him closer. Aching for their time together to last forever.
3 Years
Jisung tried to learn to cook from Minho's mother, but never quite got it down. Seungmin ate dinner with him every night regardless, because it made him happy.
Pudding demanded to eat at the table with them. He refused to eat on the floor.
6 Years
Seungmin tried again to convince Jisung to let him turn him. Jisung said he would let him when he had all 10 fingers again.
10 Years
Jisung's partner, Changbin, went on paternity leave. His wife just had a baby. The human brought up adoption as he'd always wanted a little one of his own.
He quickly learned that adoption agencies discriminate against vampires. Convinced they will just kill the child or use them for their blood.
Jisung gave up on the idea after finding Seungmin crying in the living room in the middle of the night.
20 Years
The couple went to dinner and the waitress thought Seungmin was Jisung's son. It hadn't crossed their mind that people would no longer assume they were a couple with Seungmin stuck in the body of a 25 year old and Jisung now 50 and continuing to age.
Seungmin asked again to let him turn the human. And again Jisung denied. "Why would he want to be stuck in the body of a 50 year old with only 9 fingers?"
The vampire started to give up on the idea. It became less likely that Jisung would agree the more years that passed.
22 Years
"Something's wrong with Pudding," Jisung said shaking Seungmin awake urgently. The vampire opened his eyes to find his boyfriend holding the seemingly asleep cat cradled in his arm. "He won't wake up Seungminnie."
He sat up then and gently took the cat from his boyfriend. It felt lighter than he remembered. Had he been sick without them noticing? 22 is pretty old for a cat. "Sungie," Seungmin said quietly.
"Why won't he wake up?" Jisung's voice cracked as tears welled up. Seungmin set the cat down and hugged his boyfriend while he cried.
They buried Pudding in the woods outside by a tree Minho had marked with his claws years prior.
35 Years
Jisung got injured at work and opted to retire. He wants to live the rest of his days just enjoying his time with his boyfriend. They didn't need the money anyways.
52 Years/0 Days
Jisung got pneumonia and in a particularly bad coughing fit he stumbled and fell down the stairs. Seungmin rushed him to the emergency room, but they were unable to get him to wake up.
The vampire sat in the room holding his hand unwilling to leave his side and the hospital never asked him to. He listened to the breaths rattle out of his chest and willed him to open his eyes.
He hoped that if there was any part of Jisung's mind conscious it wasn't in pain. His frail body was littered with bruises and lacerations from his tumble down the stairs. A dark bruise spread from his left temple to his eye and upper cheek bone. Seungmin just knows that if the human could see himself now he would complain about the bruising on his pretty face.
5 seconds
Seungmin watched the TV in the room and unconsciously counted the seconds between Jisung's breaths.
8 seconds
It was only slightly different 8 could still be considered normal right?
10 seconds
He kept his eyes glued to the TV not willing to look at his boyfriend yet.
15 seconds
Seungmin squeezed Jisung's hand tighter and thought he felt a slight squeeze back.
17 seconds
"It's OK," he whispered so only his boyfriend could hear.
The heart monitor went off as he flat lined. He didn't bother calling for help he could already hear the footsteps of people running towards their room. Seungmin held his hand until the nurses forced him to move. The doctors attempting chest compressions, but Seungmin already knew.
The same way he had known Minho was gone he knew Jisung was. He didn't know how. He didn't know why. But nonetheless he could feel that Jisung was gone. The human no longer resided in the bruised and broken sickly body in the room.
After Seungmin talked to doctors and collected the few things they had in the room he went home.
In the cold silence he slid down the wall and cried. He let himself grieve and the loneliness set in. The stillness of he house that hasn't existed in 62 years. Not since the day he met Minho. He had brought life to the house and Jisung had carried on with it.
Now Seungmin had to figure out how to carry on alone again. One would think after centuries he would be used to this. However it never gets easier to let the people you love go. It never gets easier to sit alone in a house that was warm with laughter.
He had avoided any form of a relationship for years not wanting to deal with the grief again. Until he met Minho who never gave him a choice. He shoved his way in and refused to leave until he was left with no choice. Until he met Jisung a man that had confused him to no end in the beginning when he welcomed death. He got to see the light come into that mans eyes and leave it all over again.
Yet as painful as this was. As he sat on the ground with his head between his knees and fingers gripping his hair. He couldn't bring himself to ever regret having met them. They had made him feel loved in a way no one else had before.
Now as he wished to die and join them. He knows if there is any kind of afterlife and he was somehow granted to see them they would be mad if he took his own life. So, he had to learn how to live again on his own.
Seungmin slumped to the ground by the door having exhausted himself crying. It was cold and he thought that was good, because it meant he still felt something and he fell asleep there with the sounds of Minho and Jisung's voices in his mind.
I'll find you
52 Years/3 Weeks
Seungmin was starving. He had allowed himself to fall into a depression and doesn't remember the last time he ate. He doesn't even remember the last time he left the house.
Admittedly, he wanted to die. He understood where Jisung was coming from when they found him. It didn't feel like he had anything left to live for.
At the same time there were two little voices in his head that kept telling him to get up. He had gotten awfully good at ignoring them though.
52 Years/2 Months 3 Days
A loud crash woke Seungmin from his slumber. At this point he wasn't sure if it was day or night. The room spun when he stood and the nausea hit him like a truck. It was time to eat again. He was only eating enough to keep himself alive at this point.
Seungmin hugged the wall as he made his way downstairs to investigate the sound. His legs felt weak he wasn't sure there was anything he could actually do if there was some kind of intruder.
He followed the sound of movement to the living room and froze in the doorway. An orange kitten was facing the opposite wall. It was crouched like it was getting ready to pounce on something and Seungmin shifted his gaze to see what.
A chipmunk seemed to be trying to hide behind the leg of the end of table. He watched them for a moment longer before walking over to try and rescue the chipmunk. The vampire wasn't sure why he felt the need to save the little creature. He usually believed in letting nature run its course. Survival of the fittest and all that. Yet, he felt compelled to rescue it.
Seungmin was surprised he was able to pick up the chipmunk so easily. It appeared to be a baby and had no survival instincts yet as it curled up in the palm of his hand. He tucked the little creature into the pocket of his hoodie as he slowly made his way to the kitchen. The kitten following closely behind him weaving around his feet.
He found one blood pouch in the fridge and didn't know how long it had been in there, but he drank it anyways. He would need to go to the blood bank and get more later.
52 Years/2 Months 8 Days
Seungmin opened the curtains. The orange kitten loved sunbathing and he was concerned it would try to destroy them if he didn't. He was surprised to find the chipmunk cuddling with the cat in the middle of a sun patch. They had apparently decided to be friends.
With the curtains open he could see the dust and dirt that had built up over the last few months and, though he was tired, he got to work cleaning. He didn't like living in such a dusty, dirty house.
He worked around the kitten and chipmunk as they didn't seem to be going anywhere. For some reason he couldn't bring himself to make them leave either.
70 Years/18 Years
Seungmin liked to think he pulled himself out of his depression on his own. That he didn't kill himself because he didn't actually want to. Not because of the chipmunk that died years ago. Definitely not because of the orange cat that was lying dead in the street in front of him.
The loss felt oddly familiar, but not as bad as last time he stared at a body in the street. Nonetheless he didn't want any more animals showing up. He was tired of that loss as well.
He would rather be alone.
101 Years/53 Years
He still couldn't bring himself to move. He didn't believe in reincarnation, but nonetheless they said they would find him. How would they find him if he left their home?
How would he keep them with him if he left? He couldn't take Minho's kitchen and Jisung's manga collection with him. He had to keep their things safe just in case.
155 Years/103 Years
Seungmin stared at the gray cat sitting on the front steps slowly blinking at him. Why do these cats keep randomly appearing?
200 Years/148 Years
He sat at his usual place at the bar and waved at the bartender who set his preferred beer in front of him with a smile. Seungmin had become something of a regular here and he talked to Chan, the bartender, each time he was in. He refused to actually get close to him, especially because he's human, but he appreciated the conversation. He was less lonely when he came in even if he's just observing the other patrons.
The chair next to him scraped against the floor and Seungmin glanced at the man sitting next to him despite all the other open seats.
"Hi," the curly ginger haired man said.
"Hello," Seungmin said cautiously eyeing the man without fully looking at him.
The other man smiled, "I've seen you in here a lot before."
The vampires eyes narrowed he had never seen this man before and he regularly observes the other patrons in here. There's no way this man has seen him without being seen himself. "Funny I haven't seen you," he turned and looked the man in the eye.
"I'm Jeongin," the ginger man said his fox-like eyes shifting as he placed his hand on Seungmin's arm.
The vampire stared at his hand on his arm and caught a glimpse of a red tail shifting behind the other man. "Seungmin. Can I help you with something?" he shifted his arm out from under Jeongin's hand.
The ginger cocked his head to the side and gave him a flirty smile. Jeongin reached his hand out again this time resting it on the vampire's knee causing him to straighten his spine.
"I'm married," Seungmin quickly lied. The three had never gotten married before they died. It had never seemed important they all knew where they stood with each other.
The flash of red behind the stranger drew Seungmin's attention and realized there was more than one. A kitsune. It's been centuries since he had last seen one. This one only had 2 tails. Minho had been dead longer than this kitsune had been alive.
"Really? I heard your boyfriends died," the kitsune said shifting his hand further up the vampire's thigh.
Seungmin sighed, "they died before you were born. I've remained loyal to them since." He saw Chan shift closer like he was trying to subtly pay attention to their conversation.
"That's at least 200 years of celibacy," Jeongin shifted his hand further up the vampire's thigh brushing against his dick. "Aren't you thirsty?"
Seungmin wasn't blind he could see how attractive the kitsune was, he wouldn't deny that. He also couldn't deny how long it had been. It was less than 200 but still more than 150. Jisung hadn't been able to do much physical activity for years even before he passed.
The kitsune smiled as he felt Seungmin's dick start to fill out in his pants. The elder stared at the hand resting near his crotch before sighing earning a bigger smile from the ginger. He thought he was winning the vampire over.
"I get blood from the blood bank and I'm alone," Seungmin said picking the kitsune's hand up and placing it firmly back on the bar. "Now please leave me alone," he turned back to the bar and made eye contact with Chan who quickly made his way over.
Jeongin opened his mouth, but the bartender interrupted him, "You heard the man. Leave him alone," his voice was stern and the kitsune glared at him before slinking away from the bar. The two watched him go and saw him disappear. Seungmin had forgotten kitsune could be invisible.
"I know you don't want to hear it," Chan began drawing Seungmin's attention back to him. The vampire watched as he poured two shots of soju before handing one to him. "He's not necessarily wrong."
Seungmin stared at Chan without saying anything so he continued. "I doubt your boyfriends would want you to spend eternity alone. That guy may not have been the one, but I bet there's still someone else out there."
"They said they'd find me," Seungmin said quietly staring at the shot in his hand.
"You don't believe in reincarnation though. How will they find you?" Chan said and tapped the shot glass prompting him to drink it.
The vampire set the glass back down, "Maybe you're right. I don't know." Seungmin shook his head and started to pull his wallet out.
The bartender held his hand up stopping him, "On me today. I'll see you next time."
"Thank you," Seungmin smiled at him as he left.
325 Years/273 Years
Chan had died years ago, but the building remained standing just being passed from generation to generation in his family. They were always friendly, so Seungmin made a point of still coming in as the years passed.
He was sad each time someone in the family passed and attended their funeral, but keeping them at arms reach had yet to do him wrong.
377 Years/325 Years
A squirrel was running through the house. Every time he tried to catch it, it ran and hid somewhere in the walls. Seungmin couldn't figure out where the rodents kept getting in from. He went around and tried to seal anything he thought was letting them in, but every so often they just appeared again.
It's like they spawned in somehow.
432 Years/380 Years
Seungmin had finally accepted what Chan had said all those years ago. That maybe he wasn't meant to be alone forever. That his boyfriends wouldn't want him to just waste away. He doesn't want a relationship no, but he wants a body.
He hadn't realized how much he missed physical affection until a strange man hugged him from behind at the pub and then shrieked in embarrassment. The stranger had thought he was someone else and apologized profusely when he realized he was wrong.
Seungmin was frozen though. He had felt the warmth and the smell. It wasn't the same no, but it was so similar he could almost imagine someone else was the one hugging him.
Was he using this man? Yes, but he didn't think the other man really cared. At least that's what Seungmin told himself as they stumbled through the door of his house. Their lips crashing together as the other mans hands slid up Seungmin's shirt.
He kept his eyes closed and moaned as the stranger twisted his nipple slightly. Seungmin grabbed the man by the shirt pulling him towards the stairs blindly and knocked something off a shelf causing a crash.
The other man pulled back, glanced down, and froze for a second before taking a quick glance around the room. "Are you married?"
Seungmin glanced down at what fell and quickly scooped the shattered picture frame up gently setting it on the shelf. "Widowed. Long ago," he said quietly brushing the glass off their faces.
The stranger picked up a picture of Seungmin and Minho and stared at it for a moment before reaching up and touching his own panther ears on his head. He looked at the vampire then and pointed at the picture. "What was his name?"
"Minho."
The man stared at the picture again for a moment before nodding and gently placing it back on the shelf. Seungmin watched him carefully not sure what he was going to do next. Half expecting him to decide to just leave.
He was surprised when the stranger leaned in and kissed him gently pushing him against the wall. His hand snaked up to Seungmin's throat pulling a moan from him before dropping back down and wrapping his hands around the back of Seungmin's thighs lifting him up.
The vampire closed his eyes and ran his hands through the mans hair. The hair wasn't quite as soft, but the ears felt just like Minho's. He imagined it was his boyfriend carrying him up the stairs like he did when he first moved in.
He had to direct the man to the bedroom, but soon found himself naked on his back on the bed with the other man working him open. His finger's were longer than Minho's, but he could pretend and when he finally hit that place inside him he couldn't help but moan, "Min."
The man paused for only a second before continuing and kissing the vampire's inner thighs eventually taking his length into his mouth. Seungmin kept his eyes screwed shut letting himself believe the moment was real.
He pushed the strangers hand away indicating he was ready. He was always impatient and never let Minho open him up all the way. The vampire liked the little bit of pain from his boyfriend stretching him open.
He let out a hiss as the man slowly pressed in feeling hands wrap around his waist holding him in place. "You're so tight," the man groaned as he bottomed out. Thumbs rubbed against his hip bones, "so tiny."
"Just fuck me already," Seungmin said in an annoyed tone. Minho never took this long.
That was all the other man needed. The vampire felt the hands on his hips tighten before the other man drew back thrusting back in at a punishing pace. A hand left his hip, traced up his stomach, to his nipple drawing another moan from the vampire.
Seungmin was lost in his mind picturing Minho on top of him and he nearly cried when the man kissed him. He missed his boyfriend's touch so much. After a moment he used his speed to flip them pressing his boyfriend into the mattress taking control. He buried his face into his boyfriends neck licking the flesh.
"Do it. Bite Me," his boyfriend said as he thrust harder up into the vampire emphasizing his words. He moaned when Seungmin sunk his teeth in, but the vampire was ripped back to reality.
The taste of the blood was wrong. The smell was off. Suddenly all he could see was Minho lying in a pool of his own blood in the middle of the street. Seungmin started gagging, scrambling off the hybrid in his bed, and racing to the bathroom to throw up.
The other man, who was definitely not his boyfriend, followed him a few minutes later and the smell of the blood in the air made him retch again. He thought he was passed this, but apparently he wasn't. He just kept seeing Minho's lifeless eyes staring at him. The stranger gently placed a blanket over Seungmin to cover him and a sob tore through the vampire's throat.
"I'm sorry," he said between sobs and trying not to retch again.
The man rubbed his back for a moment, "It's OK. You must have really loved him. I'm sorry he's gone." The stranger sat on the floor with him while Seungmin sobbed and retched.
"Why did you let me call you his name?" He asked quietly without looking at the stranger.
"It seemed like you need him," the man said simply as if it made perfect sense.
Seungmin turned his head to stare at him, "I'm sorry I don't remember what you said your name was."
The man smiled, "I figured honestly. It's Wooyoung. Are you feeling better?"
The vampire sniffled, "As good as I can. I thought I was doing better before. It's been centuries. I don't think I will ever get over them."
"What was the other man's name?" Wooyoung asked gently.
"Jisung. He was human. Unlike Minho, he made it to old age. I honestly don't know which was worse. Having Minho ripped from me after only 10 years together. Or watching Jisung slowly age and get sick all while knowing he would die at some point," Seungmin stopped realizing he was rambling to a stranger.
"Maybe you'll see them again," the other man said smiling gently at him.
The vampire sighed repeating what he's been saying for centuries, "Reincarnation isn't real."
"You never know"
Seungmin remained silent.
I'll find you
468 Years/416 Years
Seungmin spent more time with Wooyoung, but strictly as friends. He learned that cat hybrids seemed to age slower than normal humans. Wooyoung said its where the "cats have nine lives" saying came from. They have the potential to live for hundreds of years before age catches up to them. Most don't make it that long though. Curiosity killed the cat as they say.
The vampire enjoyed the companionship after so long. He didn't remember the last time he had allowed himself to have a friend. Even before Minho and Jisung he had kept his distance from people.
502 Years/450 Years
Since the weather was nice Seungmin and Wooyoung decided to sit outside and chat. They were surprised when a gray tabby cat came out of the woods and jumped straight into Seungmin's lap and started purring.
"What are you the cat whisperer?" Wooyoung laughed reaching over to pet the cat. The cat turned and hissed at him swiping at the hand reaching for him. "Evil kitty."
Seungmin laughed and pet the cat who nuzzled into his hand and started purring again. "Ever since Minho and Jisung passed cats and little rodents like squirrels and chipmunks randomly appear. I don't have it in me to really make them leave. It makes me think of them."
"Well maybe it is them."
The vampire sighed and looked at him, "I've told you before, reincarnation isn't real."
Wooyoung hummed, "Maybe it is. Maybe you just never realized it because people aren't being reincarnated the same."
Seungmin rolled his eyes, "Yeah. Sure. Whatever you say. I think there's just something they both left behind that attracts the little creatures."
The other man just shook his head, but chose not to argue. He watched the cat laying there glaring at him like he personally offended it.

Seungmin walked into the pub and glanced around looking for Wooyoung. His friend had gotten there about an hour earlier and he saw him waving his hand signaling him to come over. He was sitting with another man at a table in the corner.
Seungmin slowly approached the two wondering why his friend was sitting with a stranger.
"Seungmin! This is Hyunjin and his boyfriend Felix!" Wooyoung said when the vampire finally reached him.
He looked over still only seeing one man. He had dark shoulder length hair and dark eyes over full lips. Seungmin glanced over at Wooyoung confused why he listed two names.
"Felix come out you're confusing him," the man, who must be Hyunjin said. Suddenly a little blond head poked out from behind one of the glasses on the table and Seungmin blinked in surprise.
"A pixie," he said incredulous. He thought they were extinct. It seems they may have just been really good at hiding. Which at that size it wouldn't be that hard to hide. Seungmin sat down next to Wooyoung still staring at the pixie surprised.
"Stop staring you're being rude. Yes, Felix is a pixie and Hyunjin is a vampire like you. I've been talking to them and I think you need to hear their story."
"Their story? I guess I am interested in how a vampire and pixie somehow ended up together," Seungmin said looking back at the couple. Felix was resting on Hyunjin's shoulder and was braiding his hair.
Hyunjin laughed and Felix glared at him lifting his foot and swinging it back down to kick against the vampire's shoulder. "He wasn't always a pixie."
"What do you mean?"
"He was a human when I met him. When we got together. He's been a few things since then. Sometimes he comes back as a human, but sometimes he's a cat, and well now he's a pixie," Hyunjin supplied in explanation.
"I don't understand. What do you mean comes back?" Seungmin asked confused and glanced at his friend who was giving him a big smile.
"Reincarnation of course."
He froze glancing between Hyunjin, Felix, and the smile on Wooyoung's face. "Reincarnation isn't real."
"Told you he'd say that," Wooyoung said looking at the couple.
Hyunjin shook his head, "Tell that to Felix I guess. He's the one that's died and been reincarnated multiple times. It's hard for me to know when he will reappear it varies from days to years with everything in between. He always finds me." The pixie got up and kicked the vampire in the head causing him to laugh again. Felix just looked annoyed.
Seungmin's mind was racing. Were they lying to him? Was this some cruel joke? "How? Do you have proof?"
Hyunjin nodded and pulled his wallet out sliding pictures across the table. All of them being of the vampire, but also different versions of supposedly Felix. Seungmin analyzed the pictures, but his eyes kept going back to the one that clearly had a human sized man that looked just like the pixie on Hyunjin's shoulder.
"That's from when we first met," a small but deep voice said near his ear causing him to jump. He hadn't realized that the pixie had moved to his shoulder. "Wooyoung said you've had a lot of animals that remind you of your previous boyfriends. Have you considered that they are?" The pixie fluttered down to a picture of Hyunjin with an orange cat and sat down.
"How do you know it's him?" he asked shifting his gaze up to Hyunjin.
The other vampire hummed for a moment, "I didn't at first. He came back as a cat the first time. I didn't understand at first, but the cat had little weird idiosyncrasies that didn't make sense for being just another cat. Little things that were just so Felix I couldn't deny it anymore.
"When he came back as a human again he confirmed it was him. He remembers each lifetime when he comes back and he always makes a point of finding me. Sometimes you just have to look past the physical appearance and identify the parts that are them," The vampire smiled down at the pixie who was now just standing and kicking his arm that was resting on the table.
Seungmin thought back to all the cats and chipmunks and squirrels that have appeared at his house. He thought of Pudding and how he used to demand pets and head scratches the same way that Minho did. He thought of how the kitten and chipmunk would cuddle together despite the fact the kitten had been hunting it just hours before.
He didn't know what to think and a part of his mind was thinking of the cat and squirrel he saw on his couch at home. "I need to go," he said standing up and heading towards the door
The vampire rushed home and went directly into the living room where the animals were still cuddled together sleeping.
"Minho? Jisung?"
Both of the animals lifted their heads and stared at him in response. Their voices rang in his mind as he stared back.
I'll find you
600 Years/548 Years
Ever since the last cat and squirrel passed Seungmin has been constantly looking and waiting to see if another would show up. He hadn't talked to Hyunjin and Felix again they were only passing through, but Wooyoung had reminded him it wasn't instant. It could take years for them to reappear.
630 Years/578 Years
Seungmin was trying to be patient. He told himself it might not even be them, but now that he's learned it really is possible despite what he's always believed. He can't help but hope.
690 Years/638 Years
A knock on the door woke Seungmin up with a start. He wasn't expecting anyone or anything, but thought maybe Wooyoung had decided to stop by early for some reason.
He stumbled down the stairs still drowsy and thinking about coffee and sighed when he heard the knock again. "Coming!" He called hoping it would keep them from continuing their incessant knocking. He was mumbling about it being a solicitor as he opened the door.
There were two men standing on the porch looking out at the yard. "Can I help you?" He asked glancing between the man with curly light brown hair and the man with wavy blond hair.
They both turned to face him and he nearly fell to his knees. They looked the same just younger with different colored hair.
"Did you miss us Puppy?" Minho asked smiling at him and Seungmin felt tears prickle his eyes.
"Baby, don't cry," Jisung said stepping forward and wrapping his arms around the vampire.
"What are you doing here?"
The two looked at each other. "We told you we'd find you," Minho said pushing them through door so he could shut it.
Jisung gave him his gummy smile, "Took you long enough to accept reincarnation was real."
Seungmin couldn't help it he leaned forward pressing his lips to first Minho's and then Jisung's kissing them deeply. His stomach fluttered it was just like he remembered. He pulled back and stared at Minho again. "You're blond."
The hybrid laughed. "I was born as a snow leopard hybrid this time." He flicked his white ears and swished his tail behind him.
Seungmin noted the difference in scent, but the oddly distinct scent of Minho was still there. He looked at Jisung then and touched his face for a moment before kissing him deeply again. He felt a hand touch his face and noticed it felt kind of strange and he pulled away to look at it
"I was born without it this time. Apparently fate decided since I lost it the first time, I just wouldn't get it again," Jisung said staring down at the hand Seungmin was holding. "At least I don't have to come up with stories as to how I lost it anymore!" He gave the vampire the biggest smile he had causing him to laugh.
Minho locked the front door and started up the stairs triggering the two to follow after him. He fell face first onto the bed and groaned when Jisung jumped on top of him.
Seungmin stared at them in wonder at seeing them again. In just a few minutes the air in the house felt lighter, but still his throat felt clogged. "Am I dreaming," he wasn't sure they were actually real and it wasn't some figment of his imagination.
His boyfriends both blinked at him for a moment before Minho shifted causing Jisung to roll not just off of him, but off the bed with a thud. "Ow! Was that really necessary?" Jisung whined climbing back onto the bed from the floor.
"Priorities," Minho said without taking his eyes off of Seungmin. He had shifted down to the end of the bed and put a small hand on either side of the vampire's face. "You're not dreaming, Puppy," he whispered bringing his face closer.
Seungmin's stomach flipped when the hybrid kissed him. He brought his arms up and gripped the snow leopard's hips grounding himself. Minho slowly lowered his hands from the vampires face running his palms down his chest before slipping them under his shirt.
The vampire shivered when he felt Jisung press against his back and kiss his neck. It had been so long since he felt one of them let alone both of them. He moaned when he felt the human slip his hand into his pants palming him.
Minho broke the kiss and tugged on Seungmin's shirt pulling it over his head before turning him to face the human. Jisung's lips crashed sloppily against the vampire's like he was trying to devour him whole.
Seungmin felt his pants and underwear slipping down his legs and quickly stepped out of them his hands pulling on the human's small waist. He whined when Jisung slowly started sinking to his knees in front of him kissing down his body. He moaned loudly when the human kitten licked his tip before sucking him into his mouth.
He heard a bottle cap pop in the background, but hadn't put any thought to it until he felt Minho's wet finger press into him. He gasped loudly leaning forward from the unexpected intrusion. The hybrid wrapped his other arm around his chest holding him up. "Shh baby we'll make you feel good," he whispered into his ear and Jisung hummed around the vampires cock in agreement.
Seungmin started to lose track of what was happening. The pleasure building as Minho added more fingers and Jisung took him down his throat. Even he was taken by surprise when he was suddenly cumming down the humans throat with no warning.
He flushed in embarrassment, but Jisung just grinned up at him. "It's been over 600 years we're not done with you yet," the human said standing up and kissing the vampire again.
"You see we took each other's virginity in this lifetime," Minho said as he and Jisung helped each other remove their clothes. " We were conveniently neighbors. No matter what we did though," Seungmin watched as Jisung kissed the hybrids neck. "It always felt like we were missing something." Minho's eyes shifted to look at the vampire. "Someone."
Seungmin felt himself getting hard again watching them together. "We always intended on finding you. We just needed to reach a reasonable age to come to you," Jisung grinned at him scraping his teeth across one of Minho's nipples causing him to groan.
"Why don't you show him how ready you are for him," Minho said pulling on Jisung's hair to make him look at him. Seungmin watched as Jisung, now naked, climbed on the bed and leaned forward leaving his ass in the air. The hybrid gestured for him to come over and, ever obedient, the vampire followed the command.
He gasped at the image of the purple jeweled plug in his boyfriends ass. Seungmin smacked a hand against one of the cheeks before grabbing both to separate a little further. "Had to make sure I was ready for you," Jisung groaned out pressing his hips further back towards him.
Seungmin slowly pulled the plug out and watched as his boyfriend moaned into the mattress. He felt Minho kiss his shoulder and his cock press against his ass. In a quick motion the vampire flipped Jisung onto his back and slotted himself between the humans legs.
Feeling the lube leaking out of his boyfriend, he slowly pressed in groaning at the feeling. Minho's hand rubbing his back tracing patterns on his spine as he watched Jisung grip the sheets. Once he had bottomed out he leaned forward burying his face in the humans neck as they both adjusted.
He gasped when he felt the cool lube run down his own ass. "Are you ready for me, Puppy?" Minho asked and Seungmin could feel his tip against his ass waiting. He pressed back slightly in answer pulling out of Jisung a bit causing him to whine.
"Bite Jisung for me, Puppy," Minho said as he slowly started pressing into him. Seungmin, with his face already buried in Jisung's neck, licked the vein by his face before slowly sinking his teeth in. The human let out a loud moan digging his nails into the vampires back.
With his teeth latched onto Jisung's throat he moaned and lapped at the blood as Minho bottomed out and kissed his shoulder. Seungmin hadn't felt so full, so complete, in a long time. He was right where he belonged, with the two men he loved more than anything in this world.
The vampire pulled away from the human's throat and thrust into him starting the rhythm that Minho matched from behind. Every thrust the hybrid made into him pressed him deeper into Jisung.
Seungmin felt Minho grip his hip with one hand and pull him up by the shoulder with his other. The vampire braced his hands on the backs of Jisung's thighs for leverage in the adjusted position and growled when Minho wrapped his arm around his neck and chest pressing his chest against the vampires back.
He shifted just enough to sink his teeth into the snow leopards arm ripping a loud moan from him. The taste flooded his mouth and he breathed in relief at the taste. Fate had been on their side making him a snow leopard this time and not a panther. The taste was just different enough to not make him feel sick like before.
The three got lost in each others embrace. Every thrust, every drop of blood and sweat, every kiss and gentle touch bringing them closer together again, and after they all tipped over that edge they collapsed into the bed panting.
Seungmin laid between his boyfriends who burned designs into his flesh with their fingertips and lips. His stomach twisted slightly and his chest felt tight as hot tears burned his eyes.
"I love you," he whispered wetly and both men stopped moving for a moment.
"I love you too," they both said and kissed the tears escaping down his temples as he stared at the ceiling. Before they could say anything else Jisung's stomach growled causing each of them to laugh slightly.
"I will make food," Minho said and Seungmin caught him before he could get up.
"Without you two here I haven't kept food stocked. Let's order in," Seungmin said and pleaded with his eyes before earning a reluctant sigh of agreement from the hybrid.
Minho ordered food online and dragged the other two to at least put on underwear and go to the living room. Around half an hour later the food arrived and Minho hid in the kitchen with it adjusting a bowl to force Seungmin to eat with them like he always used to.
The vampire felt his chest tighten again, but refused to let himself cry as he ate with his boyfriends.
"You're blond."
"You said that already. Do you not like it?" Minho pouted at Seungmin his ears flattening slightly and the vampire's heart swelled.
"I love it," his eyes shifted to Jisung who was quietly eating his food. "Your hair is lighter than before and curly. I love the way it looks on you.
Seungmin smiled as both of his boyfriends preened under the compliments. Jisung dancing slightly in his seat and Minho's tail swishing gently behind him.
After eating Seungmin moved to his spot on the couch and Jisung quickly followed while Minho was putting the dishes away in the kitchen.
Seungmin watched as the hybrid paused in the doorway eyeing the two before pouncing on the couch and claiming his spot in the middle. He laid his head on Seungmin's thigh and his feet in Jisung's lap and the vampire smiled. It didn't take long for the hybrid to tilt his head just enough to bite Seungmin's thigh and, just like before, the vampire found his hand running through Minho's hair.
They turned on a random horror movie and Seungmin felt comfortable for the first time in years with his boyfriends home and in one of their favorite positions.
He hadn't believed in reincarnation. He had never seen it happen before. Yet nevertheless his boyfriends had promised they would find him again and after 600+ years here they were.
They had found him just as they promised.
