Work Text:

Of all places...

To live out a fairy tale ending of their very own...

Tears form, shining brightly under the awning of wedding-white lights. Granny's Diner, downstairs, roars with laughter and love. "Belle, I don't think I've ever been this happy before," Ruby mumbles, stopping in the corridor as Belle's hands gently touch hers. Kisses sweetly swap.

"We met here," Belle points out, noses nuzzling. "We should honor the past. And everything else. Everything that led up to this moment."

Blinking out a single shining tear, Ruby huffs and grins and noses her bride with a little more affectionate. She laps, Ruby's tongue out, for a moment against Belle's cheek. Her scent masked in a powdery perfume. Belle's dark auburn hair, elegantly coiffed with cream-pale rosebuds and pearly beads. Ruby can't wait to get her fingers in it, and in Belle, and make obscenely passionate love to the woman of her dreams.

In the middle of a slow, shy-feeling kiss, Belle looks amused. "Did you see how quickly Emma ran away from the bouquet?"

Ruby grins harder at the memory... she and Belle agreed to the two-bride bridal toss by the gated outdoor area. Right beyond the diner's front door. Leroy and Dr. Hopper volunteered to clear away all of the restaurant tables. "Yeah, she collided into Regina and spilled Regina's wine down Regina's dress." Ruby scrunches her nose, frowning. "I wouldn't wanna have the Evil Queen look at me the way she looked at Emma..."

"Mmm. It's adorable that Henry ended up being the one to catch it though," Belle insists, continuing to lead her new wife, Ruby, upstairs.

A stifled giggle. "Oh yeah... well I think Regina looked even worse after that."

Despite her change of heart, or whatever Regina had decided about her heart these days, Ruby noticed small things. So small that they could be easily ignored. A whiff of expensive lipstick-fragrance on Emma's mouth, not quite scrubbed off... Regina's eyes lingering for far too long on the view of a gold-haired head, Regina's pupils expanding, her throat clenching and unclenching like it struggles against anticipation... the hours lost to babysitting, with no sign of Emma or Regina available, where Ruby can't get a straight answer out a very cheerful Henry...

Smaller than small things...

They're happening. Ruby wonders, while clasping playfully onto the lace of Belle's bridal veil, if Storybrooke is ready for it.

For a while, Ruby forgets about anything else.

Her vision blurs with silks and satins tossed aside with their matching lace veils... with Belle's face, a pretty rosy heat, underneath hers.

She goes for a drink of water, pulling back on only underwear. Her skin bared. Ruby's legs quiver occasionally. The pleasure, faintly throbbing there. Nobody's gonna bother coming up here while the reception is still going, and Ruby has outgrown a lot of her shame. For being a wolf especially. She hones in on baser, feral instincts much more since discovering true love in Belle... who isn't afraid of Ruby's wolf.

Rubbing at her upper human-like teeth, Ruby overhears what sounds to her like moaning. Or moaning in pain. She's unsure.

It's coming from...

Behind a door unlocked, more moaning.

She peeks.

Inside of one of Granny's Bed and Breakfast rooms, Regina grits her jaw. She writhes, lets out another barely restrained moaning noise—"Aah, ah—ahhmah!" Regina's neck glistens sweat. Her hands bunch, tightly twisting up, into the loose and homey quilt at the end of a mattress.

Cradled by a pair of opened and pale thighs, exposed from an orchid-purple cocktail dress...

"Mmhm—"

Emma deepens her kneeling position, her femininely shaped and muscular back bent in her haltered top, Emma's own bridesmaid gown riding up. Ruby recognizes the unique sage-green fabric. And, of course, the back of that gold-haired head... from anywhere Regina was staring to...

The odor of heavy, wet arousal. Ruby's nose tingles. She sniffs.

Breathing in loudly, Emma ravenously kisses along around the entrance of Regina's vagina, tongue-teasing it. She licks past fleshy folds. They're not facing the bedroom door, and Ruby gets an almost full-frontal view of breasts when Regina suddenly jerks upright, flush-faced.

Regina's breasts.

While she's being eaten out, Regina arches and moans Emma's name again. Those round and huge and damn-near-perfect breasts... they hang out of Regina's dress. Her nipples harden. Ruby objectively knows any woman's body, and breasts, turn her on... and definitely she should go...

One of Emma's hands gropes, moving so slow, feeling for Regina's left breast to cup and massage.

"Darling?"

Eeping, Ruby slams shut the door, way too obvious, and glances around to a very confused Belle. Looking adorably rumpled and wrapped up in Ruby's white bridal dressing-robe. "Oh no," Ruby laughs out, clapping a hand to her lips gawking in awe, knowing it'll be only minutes.

"Ruby, darling, who was that?" Belle asks, now curious while trying to also shield her nearly naked wife into her own robe.

"You are NOT gonna believe this..."

"Emma and Regina were... what?"

At the even more confused look from Belle, Ruby emphasizes—

"Canoodling!"

"...what?"

She blames Granny for teaching her that word, Ruby supposes. She likes funny words. "They were canoodling in there, but it's so much sexier!"

Belle smilingly shakes her head.

"Don't be ridiculous now. Besides, isn't Emma her step-granddaughter?"

Before Ruby can mention that technically the law, concerning the Enchanted Forest's lands, was set between female-male relations in royals... they fleetingly glance back around the door swinging open. "Oh, uh... hey." Emma awkwardly tucks her arms around herself. "Just you two?"

Ruby shrugs, still mostly naked, still wrapped up firmly inside the dressing-robe. And in one of Belle's arms. "It's not like we told anyone."

"And we won't," Belle adds helpfully.

The corners of Emma's eyes crinkle with relief. "Appreciate that."

"So..." Ruby trails off, "on a scale of one to ten, how pissed off is Her Majesty, The Queen?"

"I would advise you to go and enjoy your wedding night," comes a new and darkening voice. Ruby shivers. "Before it is too late."

Emma tsks, unfazed. "Regina—"

"Great! you don't need to tell me twice!" Ruby says with forced enthusiasm, leading Belle this time away. She pouts at Belle's little laugh.

Of all places...

There's always a ending, happy or sort-of-happy, for everyone living in Storybrooke.

Notes:

Commenting can be hard! I wish it was easier than staring blankly at the screen and struggling with words. So you don't have to use words. Not always! 👏 Emoji comments can be lots of fun! In the spirit of other ficcers -- here's my comment cheat code!

(It's been asked before but no--this is not an original idea. People on and off AO3, for years, have made their own different emoji comment 'codes' or 'lists'. I decided to make mine in 2023--and I think if this inspires you to make your own, please do that!)
