“Okay, you ready now, little man?” Dunk tries not to let his excitement seep into his voice as he places a large bowl of popcorn onto the table. The plastic green bowl looks out of place on the dark wood of the Targareyn coffee table. Dunk remembers the first time he set foot in the mansion and realized anything in the place was easily worth more than he would ever make.
“I’ve been ready.” Egg jumps on the couch, barely missing several blankets and pillows as he makes his way towards Dunk's end.
“Thats because you only had to get drinks. I had to understand your microwave. Twice.”
“Well, I could have done that. You could have taken my job, I know you understand how a fridge works.” The boy makes two fists and sets his elbows at his side before moving into a set of rhythmic hand movements in front of Dunk.
Dunk tries not to scowl at the boy.“I’m not lettin’ you use the microwave for quite some time after your little experiments.” He moves his hands to block each of the kids' attacks. He was getting stronger, Dunk couldn’t deny. But he needed more discipline for sure. He grabs him by the armpits and throws him lightly in the air to hear an excited squeal leave the boy's mouth. Thank goodness the ceilings of this place were so high. “I still can’t believe you’ve never seen this movie.”
“It came out before I was born.” Is all Egg replies to it with. Dunk freezes for a moment, the remote in his hand pointed at the TV.
“Don’t scare me like that.” He quickly pulls up the movie before Egg can come up with something about him getting older. He wasn’t old; Egg was just young. The rest of this family didn’t seem to understand that. Especially since half of them were away constantly, at this point hes just a long-term nanny.
It doesn't take long for the two to get comfortable. Dunk with the popcorn bucket in his blanketed lap, his legs on one of the many recliner portions, with his height, his feet hang off very noticeably. Egg had nestled deep into his side, wrapped in his own blanket. A hand free from the warmth to grab popcorn with ease.
Dunk could hear the boy beside him gasp at the first sight of the black dragon; he could almost feel the excitement course through the kid. The boy had started to relax as Hiccup found his way back to the village. He spotted someone walking by the room quickly before stepping back. His boyfriend was home, his neck still wet with sweat, which he tries not to focus on.
“I didn’t know you were coming over.” He walks into the room. Egg pauses the movie with a small eye roll. It was still new to him that his large friend and his brother were now dating, but Dunk could see the small gleam in his eye when he would stay the night. The kid might be too fond of him for his own good.
“Yes, you did, that's why you didn’t take a shower at the gym. Besides, he’s here to see me, not you.” Egg replies, his sassy attitude is still ever-present when his family members are involved. Dunk quirked his eye a bit at his boyfriend. Aerion wouldn't meet his eyes. He should give props to the boy more often for how observant he is, except when it's pointed his way. Egg had been the first in the family to figure out about him and Aerion, simply because they had both smelled the same after a day of picking apples with the boy months ago. But by that time, they had been seeing each other for closer to half a year.
“I’m still his boyfriend, Aegon.” He states, his arms crossed over his chest. Dunk could see his muscle flex slightly.
“He’s still here to see me.” The boy states. Dunk holds back a chuckle lest he face the wrath of both of these dragons at once.
Aerion grunts and looks at the screen. He can see he's confused, tilting his head slightly. Obviously, trying to see if he’s seen it before. “What are you watching?” While it sounded like a demand, Dunk knew he was doing his best not to sound like a giant jackass.
Dunk opens his mouth, but Egg speaks before him. “How to Train Your Dragon. It’s an animated movie, you can stay if you're quiet.” Eggs' enforcement of silence during movies had come about when they had seen Sonic 3 with what Egg would later describe as “the worst theater etiquette I had ever seen.” Dunk still got a kick out of the rage the kid felt, coupled with his strong posh accent; it was quite a scene.
“Dragons?” Dunk should have known. His boyfriend was tucked into the other side of him before he could even blink. Aerion smells of sweat. He softly kisses the back of his neck and hears a small hum. He wants to kiss him more.
“You need to shower.” He pushes, knowing waiting till the sweat dries will make the man colder and clingier. Which wasnt always a bad thing.
“I will after, I promise.” He tilts his head up to smile at Dunk. He feels his face get hot as their lips touch.
“Movies on.” Egg sternly announces. From there, the room goes silent. He can feel Aerion snake his hand over his thigh and into his own hand, his cheek rubbing slowly on Dunk's shoulder. He wanted to kiss him again, but knew if he moved too much, Egg would move him right back. The whole family seemed to be such large seekers of heat; maybe it was the large, cold rooms they were used to.
Dunk had seen this movie more times than he could count. It might have been one of the first DVD’s he had bought with some money he had saved. He feels both of them perk up when Toothless comes back on screen. Egg gives a small “awwe” as the dragon draws in the dirt with a fallen tree, and Aerion chuckles. He wishes to see the man's smile, but he's still clinging to his arm.
As Hiccup and Astrid were flying through the air, both Targaryens were off of Dunk. Egg had fashioned himself to lying back on the couch, his eyes gleaming. A small gasp leaves his mouth as the two of them end up in the den of dragons.
Dunk turns his attention to his boyfriend. Aerion, instead of holding, is now gripping his hand. He’s sitting on the edge of his seat, feet planted firmly on the floor. The hand not holding Dunks is holding his chin like he was deep in thought, his eyes unmoving as Hiccup fights the large Hookfang. He could tell that one would be Aerion's favorite.
By the end of the movie, Egg had shed his blanket, now also sitting up as the camera pans down to Hiccup's new leg. Aerion had barely moved; his hand had slipped from Dunks during the final battle to hold against his face. He doesn't move until the credits roll across the screen.
“That was so awesome! I wanna fly a dragon.” Egg jumps across the unused couch cushions. Making his way to the floor, he stretches his arms out like wings. Dunk gets up to join the boy, thinking he’ll get to toss him around a bit to help him get rid of some of his energy. Before he catches up to the boy, Egg turns to the two men, “I’ll be right back.” He flaps his arms and zooms out of the room, leaning to one side to avoid the doorframe.
He turns around to see his boyfriend pouting. Dunk walks closer to him until Aerion's eyebrows furrow quickly. “Why didn’t you show me that earlier? That was so good. Why would you keep that from me?” Aerion hugs his waist a bit tighter than he should.
“I thought you had seen it. Besides, we can still watch the sequels.” Dunk smiles down at his boyfriend's head, now pressed deep in his sternum.
“There are sequels??” A muffled vibration in his chest as Aerion doesn't move. Dunk kisses the top of his head as the man lets out a groan.
Dunk hears feet running on the hardwood floor getting closer to them. “You two better not be kissing!” Egg shouts. He turns to the best of his ability with his clingy boyfriend in tow. Egg had changed into pajamas, probably sensing Dunk would ask him that after. “I’m here to say goodnight but also ask if you’re staying the night.”
“Why? You expectin’ pancakes in the morning?” Dunk asks with a quirked eyebrow. He knew the answer already; the kid was easy to read when he was tired.
Aerion moves against his chest. “He’s staying over. Goodnight, Aegon.” The kid waves to the two of them before he flies off to his room.
“Choosing for me, huh?” Dunk couldnt be mad; it felt good to be wanted. There had been several occurrences of Dunk staying the night since Egg had found out about them. If he knew any better, Aerion had started to take advantage of most of his family being away on business to have Dunk babysit.
“Of course, I like your pancakes too. Plus, I need the carbs before my next match.” Aerion runs his hands up his chest and on either side of his shoulders, leading to Dunk bending down. “Besides, we still need to shower.” He gives Dunk a quick kiss. It doesn't click for the giant until Aerion has already dragged him halfway across the mansion. He goes beet red.
“We do, don’t we?”
