Summary:

A year after all the chaos, the government issued a new drop-off area for supplies in an old lab. The old lab isn't what it seems, and the civilians and killers are taken somewhere new. The Inpherno won't be ready for them.

Chapter 1: Headcanons

Civilians (will be updated throughout the story and is subject to change)

These civilians (minus the synergies) will only have one ability each for the sake of my sanity!

• Adrenaline - he/him
  • Caretaker’s twin
  • Friends with Cloak
  • Very skittish, but loves to help whenever they can

• Banapeel - he/him
  • Friends with Taunt, Punch, and Dash
  • Has nothing to do with Artful’s incident
    • Artful just gets PTSD

• Block - he/him
  • Hotdog’s cousin
  • Selectively mute
    
    • Only speaks to people who don’t know sign language and to people he’s comfortable with
    • If someone who knows sign language is there to translate, he just uses sign language
  • He does have a scar he doesn't really like to show
  • Can be blunt and kinda nonchalant
  • Looks intimidating but is pretty shy with new people 
  • Vents to Hotdog a lot

• Bonuspad - he/him
  • Carepad’s younger brother
  • Friends with Caretaker
  • Co-workers with Carepad, Caretaker, and Loveshot
  • Resting bitch face
  • Interested in anything tech and engineering related

• Carepad - he/him 
  • Bonuspad’s older brother
  • Friends with Loveshot
  • Co-workers with Bonuspad, Caretaker, and Loveshot
  • Constantly looks angry, not because of a resting bitch face, but because he’s stressed and sleep deprived all the time
  • He is very expressive

• Caretaker - she/her
  • Adrenaline’s twin
  • Friends with Bonuspad
  • Co-workers with Carepad, Loveshot, and Bonuspad
  • Not skittish, but definitely not careless (haha get it? sigh. I apologize)

• Cloak - she/her
  • Friends with Adrenaline
  • Speaks “formally” out of habit
  • Helps Adrenaline calm down a lot
  • Kind of everyone’s therapist (at least, those who are willing to talk to her about their problems)

• Dash - he/him
  • Friends with Taunt, Punch, and Banapeel
  • An absolute troll
  • Upset he can’t fight back so he’s always boosting everyone’s morale by cheering for them

• Hotdog - he/him
  • Block’s cousin
  • Only one who has heard Block’s voice
  • Doesn’t eat hotdogs unless it is absolutely necessary
  • Block’s personal therapist and advisor

• Loveshot - she/her
  • Revolver’s older sister
  • Friends with Carepad
  • Co-workers with Carepad, Bonuspad, and Caretaker
  • Second-in-command of the group of civilians
  • Has a southern accent that comes out whenever they are pressured, stressed, or uneasy
  • Teases her brother a lot
  • A lot less careful than the other supports thanks to her revolver
  • Overprotective
  • Her eye tends to twitch when irritated or angry

• Punch - he/him
  • Friends with Taunt, Banapeel, and Dash
  • Kind of a show-off (in a competitive way)
  • Risk-taker and selfless
    • Drives the healers insane
  • Somehow the most sensible out of the four

• Revolver - he/him
  • Loveshot’s younger brother
  • Leader of the group of civilians
  • His smirk is more of a poker face
  • Likes to avoid conflict
  • Gets embarrassed really easily

• Taunt - he/him 
  • Friends with Punch, Bananapeel, and Dash
  • The ultimate ragebaiter
  • Is not afraid to jab at others
  • Always trying to lighten the mood

Killers (will also be updated throughout the story and is subject to change)

The killers do not live together but near each other.

• Artful - he/him
  • Doesn’t speak French that often
    • Only says it when caught off guard

• Badware - it/its
  • Hangs out with Killdroid a lot because it finds it interesting
    • Also hopes to find a way to infect Killdroid with its virus
  • Doesn’t kill Artful since he’s not trying to stop it 
  • Once Badware infects something, it can choose to command it around, have it support it (like its computers, or turn it sentient
    • Doesn’t do that because it’s a stuck up poopy head that wants to feel special

• Harken - she/her
  • Attacks civilians because she knows they make a lot of noise (in the civilians' defense, they were not aware of that)
  • Very timid and shy outside of killing
  • Constantly pesters Artful for his music box
  • Has a pair of soundproof headphones
    • Pestered Killdroid to make them
  • Would probably hold grudges depending on what the person did to them

• Killdroid - it/its
  
  • Kills out of pure spite towards civilians who have wronged them
  • May or may not be turning sentient [author’s note: I do not know how to write characters that can’t express any emotion. it’s simply alien to me.]
  • Tries to cling on to a sense of purpose 
  •  Loathes Tolerates Badware for having no purpose despite its own lack of purpose
    • Does not see its goal of infection as a purpose

• Pursuer - he/him
  • Doesn’t even bother trying to eat Artful anymore because he’s convinced that Artful wears the makeup 24/7 (he doesn’t)
  • Can’t speak a lick of English (or any language for that matter…)
    • He understand English
  • He does not know how to use his sword and he has to walk after using it because it’s heavy ig idk
