There was a knock on the door and the homeowner begrudgingly looked through the peephole to see the pale man. Dread filled his entire body in an instant at seeing the man loom over his door.
“Knock knock” the pale man said, his grin was small, but it twitched as if stifling to keep in a bigger grin.
“..what..?” The homeowner asked, very confused on what the visitor meant. What the pale man wanted was a foreboding mystery.
“Knock knock” the pale man said, a bit louder and slower, as if hearing was the problem.
“Uh… who's there?” The homeowner asked, nervous of what the pale visitor would say next, holding his gun closely to his chest.
“Nobel” the pale man says, his grin slowly becoming even more wide, his movements swaying a bit, as if he was containing excitement.
“Nobel.. who..?” The homeowner asked, clutching his gun more tightly.
“No bell, that’s why I knocked!” The pale man exclaimed and then roared with laughter. The homeowner couldn’t believe it, a knock knock joke? This guy was trying to tell him a knock knock joke?
However, before the homeowner could say anything, after being stunned by bewilderment for a few seconds, the pale man walked away, laughing hysterically at his own joke.
The pale man didn't even ask if the homeowner was alone this time, perhaps he had given up, or was in a playful mood and decided to spare the homeowner.
