Lately, Midoriya's students have noticed that pro hero Dynamight has no sense of personal space when it comes to their sensei. It's really curious and intriguing because around other people, the pro hero seems to be very against physical contact of any kind.
He barely tolerates people being around him during interviews, and he always takes another step away whenever a reporter approaches him on the street.
The pro hero has a reputation of being grumpy and having little to no tolerance when it comes to annoying fans, however, he's so dammed efficient in a battle that his bad humor hasn't affected his ranking.
Now, the civilians and most people active on social media are aware of his personality and his behavior, and none of them are surprised when a new reel or tiktok compilations of him being an asshole during interviews starts circulating all over social media.
Their curiosity begins when a couple of Midoriya's students start uploading pictures and videos of Dynamight giving them advice on hero work and slowly, but surely, getting closer and closer to their sensei as he speaks.
It usually ends up with the pro hero leaning over their sensei's shoulder and sometimes placing a hand on Midoriya's waist. If their teacher is sitting behind his desk, Dynamight gets closer and closer until he can rest one hand over the green haired teacher's shoulder.
Midoriya-sensei must be so used to it because he doesn't even flinch or move when that happens.
They both mutter to each other or even communicate without having to utter a word before one of the lessons starts.
The students have also noticed that Dynamight is at the UA very often, either for a training session with Midoriya's students or just to give them advice about pro hero life in general, however, the hero is also there just to pick up their sensei or bring him lunch.
Not only the students have noticed this strange behavior; the pro hero's fans have begun to talk about it online as well, and even some reporters have experienced too.
It's not only what Dynamight does, but what he says to the reporters or interviewers as well.
"After as successful day on the job, and having caught one of the most dangerous villains of these past years, what's the first thing you're gonna do to celebrate your victory?"
The pro hero is obviously very proud and satisfied with his victory, otherwise the reporter wouldn't be lucky enough to catch one his rare smiles on camera.
"I'm going to pick up the nerd from school and take him out to dinner."
"The nerd?"
"Izuku, my nerd," he clarifies, as if calling him his is important for Dynamight somehow.
"You mean Midoriya Izuku, the war hero?"
"The very same," the pro hero grins proudly. "He works at the UA as a teacher."
The reporter obviously wants to get more answers from him, but the pro hero mumbles something about wanting to see his nerd as soon as possible.
Later that day, some paparazzi manage to take a few photos of them in a very expensive restaurant; Midoriya Izuku seems to be talking about something while the pro hero, now in civilian clothes, listens with a very fond smile on is face.
There's a lot more pictures of them walking close to each other, and Dynamight's hands seem to have a mind of their own because they always end up grabbing the teacher's waist.
As the rumors of the two of them dating spread out, right after the news of them living in the same apartment surface, the reporters become more invasive about Dynamight's personal life.
When they ask if he's dating someone, he either flips them off or growls something like "it's none of you goddamn business" and storms away from the reporter.
However, things take an interesting turn when they start asking about Midoriya Izuku specifically. Not only Dynamight has nothing but good things to say about the young teacher, he also doesn't deny when someone implies they're dating.
Unfortunately, one day, a reporter finds them together, and asks the two of them directly if they're dating or not, and Midoriya turns a bit red as he shakes his head.
"N-No!" he stammers. "We-e are just very good friends!"
What makes the interview viral is not exactly the answer, but the sad expression Dynamight makes over the teacher's shoulder after that.
Midoriya's students notice a different kind of tension between them after that incident, but Dynamight keeps bringing the teacher lunch every time he can.
Then, someone takes a video of them arguing inside a cafeteria, and then, after Bakugo Katsuki pinches the bridge of his nose like he's particularly exasperated, he leans forward, grabs Midoriya's shirt and kisses him right on the lips.
The video ends there, but it's enough to make social media explode; everyone's talking about it, and wondering what happened after, if the teacher actually loves the pro hero back or not.
Until a very lucky reporter stumbles upon them on the street and asks them if they're boyfriends now.
"No," Dynamight says, but he's never looked so happy in all his life. He takes Midoriya's left hand and shows to the camera that he's wearing a very expensive ring now. "He's my fiance now! So everyone back off because he's mine!"
"Kacchan!" Midoriya scolds him, looking as red as a strawberry, but clearly very happy as well.
Their fans are very excited about their engagement too, considering how many weeks the topic keeps trending.
