Summary

 

 

Alexandra Trusova returns to figure skating in the 2024-2025 season after a two-year absence from international competition due to the events in Beijing in 2022. She returns with even more ambition than before, but this time with greater confidence and improved artistry in her routines. Since announcing her return to international competition in August 2024, fans have eagerly anticipated her comeback, especially after the ISU announced that Trusova would participate in the Skate Canada International and the Cup of China, Grand Prix events for figure skating.

This has generated great excitement among fans, as it will pit her against several skaters who have dominated the ice in the last two seasons, such as Kaori Sakamoto, Anastasiia Gubanova, Mone Chiba, and Loena Kendrickx. Fans are eager to see if the Russian rocket will be able to go back to her former glory and once again dominate the podium, or if the Russian dominance on the ice has finally come to an end.

Alysa Liu announces her return to skating after her unexpected retirement in 2022, after years of therapy and healing her relationship with skating, she rediscovered her love for it and returned to the sport because it makes her happy. She's so immersed in her passion that she doesn't check social media much. It wasn't until Amber told her that she would be facing Alexandra Trusova again at the Skate Canada International, who, like Liu, was returning to international competition.

Alysa would never admit it, but Alexandra makes her nervous and intimidated just by looking at her. Those green eyes and that cold gaze that gave her goosebumps and sent shivers down her spine. She'll never get over the first time she saw Alexandra skate. She did it with such determination and ambition that often made Alysa jealous of how good Alexandra was on the ice, as if she and the rink were one. But after the scandal in Beijing, when all the abuse the Russian girls suffered at the hands of their coaches came to light, Alysa's heart broke for the Russian.
