“You look like shit.” Xuan DaYu had no qualms calling a spade a spade as he lifted the glass of whiskey to his lips. He hadn’t meant to go out drinking but that’s how he got here at Xuan DaYu’s club. The s-class alpha at least had great taste in booze and the kitchen here was top notch.
“Seriously?” Xia Yao smacked the back of his head, “I’m sorry, A-Lang. He’s such an ass sometimes.”
“He wasn’t lying, I do look like shit.” Shen Wenlang confessed. He’d been a mess since he left the hospital. He couldn’t believe that he’d been lied to for so long and was being treated like he was Gao Tu’s villain. He hadn’t known that he was hurting him because Shen Wenlang had been manipulated. Every time he’d asked for clarity he’d been met with more lies. Not just from Gao Tu but from Hua Yong. He had thought there was basic respect from him.
“The kind that comes from immense loss.” Wang Zhi Shui commented softly from where he had sat down on the floor by his alpha’s leg. He rested his chin on Xuan DaYu’s knee. Barely there smell of cinnamon sugar dough in the air despite all the alcohol.
Shen Wenlang nodded as Xuan DaYu ran his fingers through the curly locks of his mate. “It wasn’t the goodbye that ruined it was the…”
“Years of betrayal.” Peng Ze moved to take Shen Wenlang’s glass away. Shen Wenlang had been drinking before Wang Zhi Shui had contacted them that he was here.
“Do you know how many times he let me give him his inhaler? Let me call him in while he was in heat claiming he’d just left his lover and that was the reason?” Shen Wenlang was disgusted with himself that he’d been deceived and forced into hurting the one person he had been trying to get close to. It made so much sense why Gao Tu wouldn’t let him in or even worse why Hua Yong would call him stupid and blind. He was no better than his own sire.
“And he shouldn’t have done that Wen.” Peng Ze told him after sharing a look with Xia Yao.
“He was in love with the idea of being with you. If he cared he’d been honest. It’s been twelve years to tell you.” Xia Yao added.
“Hua Yong on the other hand.” Xuan DaYu started but stopped as Shen Wenlang, who’d covered his face, dropped his hands.
“I’m done with him. If I have to give up HS Group then I’ll start over again. This time with my own funds I’ve saved.” Shen Wenlang wasn’t as stupid as Hua Yong thought he was. He knew that the HS stood for HuaSheng. It just hadn’t mattered till now because he thought he was going to be able to start his life with Gao Tu.
“We’ll stand with you.” Peng Ze wrapped an arm around Shen Wenlang’s shoulder to pull him in as Xia Yao patted Shen Wenlang’s knee. Xuan Dayu nodded in agreement. They’d help him get back on his feet so that Shen Wenlang wouldn’t lose himself like Shen Yu had.
Two Weeks Later
“I won’t give him nor the company up.” Hua Yong stated as he tossed down the proposed contract that had Hua Yong withdrawing his investiture from HS Group and staying the away from Shen Wenlang. “What is this nonsense?”
“What he wants.” Peng Ze answered smoothly from where he sat in the arm chair across from Hua Yong with Chang Yu behind him. Thankfully, Yuan Zong was with him because Hua Yong’s eyes began to faintly glow a pale pink. He understood this wouldn’t be easy. Shen Wenlang had Hua Yong’s talons sunk into his soul for so long.
“Then he-”
“He is telling you. Go to the last page.” Peng Ze cut him off. He smiled as Hua Yong lifted the contract, going to the last page where sure enough there was a red stamped thumbprint that smelled of Shen Wenlang’s iris.
“He can bring it to me himself.” Hua Yong spoke evenly despite the pit forming in his stomach. He knew that he should have gone to the hospital with Shen Wenlang after that disastrous lunch. Yet the pull to be with Sheng Shaoyou had tugged at him.
“That’s what he pays me for and you know it. If you don’t provide a suitable counter offer then we will proceed with this.” Peng Ze pulled out another proposal for a lawsuit that would have Shen Wenlang stepping down and taking his entire research with him. There was also a sizable restraining order that had Hua Yong and Chang Yu from coming near him. Peng Ze stood up, “Make your choice Mr. Hua. Either way Mr. Shen no longer wants to be associated with you or X Holdings. Respect his decision as he has respected yours to pursue your own interests.”
What the fuck? Hua Yong thought as he read it, but kept his face schooled as always. He refused to speak to the s-class alpha further. His gaze shifted to his fellow enigma. Just as strong as himself and formidable. Yet so different in terms of personality. There was no mistaking why he’d come with Peng Ze. To protect Peng Ze from him. Chang Yu guided Peng Ze and Yuan Zong out.
Three Days After His Meeting at X Holdings
“I promise Mr. Gao. This isn’t an attack on you.” Peng Ze spoke respectfully and softly as he knew that the omega was still recovering from the pheromone attack. He kept his scent reigned in. “This is Mr. Shen wanting to ensure that you’re properly cared for as you’ve been mishandled in the past.”
“That’s an understatement.” Sheng Shaoyou commented from the other side of the hospital bed. He hadn’t left Gao Tu’s side unlike Shen Wenlang. The asshole had berated Gao Tu into a panic attack then left. How could he have not seen that Gao Tu was an omega? The prideful piece of crap.
“Mr. Sheng, this conversation doesn’t require your input.” Peng Ze responded then seamlessly focused back on Gao Tu.
“You’re not losing your job. You are exceptional in your role and should be compensated as much. Also, do not worry about your expenses for this visit as HS Group will cover them.” Peng Ze shared, “When you recover you’ll be able to return to your duties as HS Group. As of right now Mr. Shen is on sabbatical. So you will be reporting directly to Mr. Hua.”
“Wait. What? Why would I be reporting to Hua Yong?” Gao Tu looked confused just like Sheng Shaoyou.
“He’s the new owner of the company.” Peng Ze answered him, “While you might not meet with him you will most likely meet with Chang Yu, his private secretary. When you get a chance please read this over. Mr. Shen is not available at this time so please do not reach out.” He looked at Sheng Shaoyou, “Do not harass Wenlang because of this Mr. Sheng. There will be consequences if you do.”
“Thank you for your time.” Peng Ze bowed respectfully before leaving the two.
“How is he sweetheart?” Peng Ze asked, tossing his suit jacket over arm chair as he stepped into the master bedroom. There on the massive canopy bed lay Shen Wenlang cuddled up to ZhenZhen. His beautiful mate was sitting upright, reviewing the print out of the yet to be published issue for the following month of his magazine. He peered up with a loving smile on his lips as his scent sweetened from happiness to have Peng Ze home at last with them.
“Good. He took a bath with me then dozed off as we waited for you to come home to us.” ZhenZhen answered, tilting his head up for a kiss. That was easily obliged.
Peng Ze unbuttoned the top three buttons, “Let me wash the day off.”
He’d been quick, wanting nothing more than to be with his lovers. The thing between them was new but it felt right. Their first kiss had been a surprise as Peng Ze had kissed him to stop him from spiraling into a panic attack. Peng Ze had told him of his long time crush on Shen Wenlang and was happily surprised himself when ZhenZhen confessed he liked him too. They’d fallen into sync with a strong connection based on honesty and the affection they bore each other.
“You smell better.” ZhenZhen set the draft on his nightstand as Peng Ze sauntered into their room with a towel around his lips.
“Not as good as you and Wenlang.” Peng Ze smirked, taking in how Shen Wenlang was deliciously only in his sleeping robe. His desire for them growing. He wasn’t going to lie to himself. He enjoyed helping Shen Wenlang make steps to become fully theirs. Peng Ze dropped the towel so that he could slip into bed behind Shen Wenlang. His hand went for the sash of the other alpha’s robe. A gentle tug had the fabric opening for him.
“Ze.” Shen Wenlang stirred as he felt the warmth at his back and ZhenZhen moved to lay alongside in front of him. The perfect way to wake up. His beta at his front and his alpha at his back, He let out a moan as Peng Ze wrapped his hand around his already half hard dick. His back arching as Peng Ze nipped at his nape, tongue tracing his scent gland, while Zhen Zhen took advantage of how his robe had parted. The cool air was brief before the heat of ZhenZhen’s tongue and lips latched onto his chest.
“We want you, Wen.” Peng Ze breathed into the shell of his ear that earned him a shiver that followed by a nod. He let go on Shen Wenlang’s dick to reach up to turn his head to kiss him. It was a messy feverish kiss as ZhenZhen took advantage to trail kisses down the alpha’s torso so that he could claim what he wanted. Their mixed scents of iris, jasmine and warm moss filled the room.
Shen Wenlang moaned as the heat that’d devoured his chest was now hungrily between his thighs. His hips jerked forward but were held firmly by Peng Ze as he gripped his hip pulling him flush to his chest. When Peng Ze finally sunk into him Shen Wenlang absolutely didn’t let out a sound. Yet there was Peng Ze chuckling in his ear as he rolled his hips, sending him further into pleasure ZhenZhen provided.
“Ah, Ze, ZhenZhen.” Shen Wenlang moaned, lost to his boyfriends’ touch. He knew he was safe, that they’d take care of every inch of him.
