Work Text:
Light and L’s computer screens had been glowing since the first sliver of morning sunlight, long past the point where the moon was fully displayed in the sky and the city had gone silent.
The way L could stare into a bright screen for hours at a time was nearly impressive to Light. His eyes had begun to sting a while ago, but he didn’t want to disturb the peace that had finally settled upon L.
L sat in his usual position with his legs tucked to his chest and his expression was unreadable. Light rubbed his eyes, the chain from the handcuffs binding the two together jingling. He looked over at L, who hadn’t moved an inch from the rolling chair in what felt like forever.
Light hesitantly leaned back in his chair, gaze still fixed on L and his unique sitting position. After a moment, he finally made a choice to break the silence. “Ryuzaki, you should probably sleep now.”
L continued to stare into the computer, keyboard keys clicking for a few long seconds until he finally looked away from the screen. “You can go ahead if you want,” He replied dryly.
Light scoffed to hide his laugh. “Hilarious, if I could do that, I would.” He lightly tugged on the handcuff chain connecting to L’s wrist.
“Just sleep in your chair or something,”
“Yeah, I’ll definitely do that because I would love to have back pain right now.” Light joked, leaning his elbows on the desk and looking away from L, the two of them falling back into silence for a while.
Light went back to typing aimlessly on the files about the Kira case while L stayed quietly beside him.
He felt the chain pull at his wrist, causing him to mistype a letter. Light looked to his left.
L’s head had fallen limply against his own shoulder with his eyes fully shut. It was probably the first time Light has seen L fall asleep. He looked at the clock pinned to the wall above him. 3:57 AM.
Light turned his head back towards the sleeping L, at a loss for words. “…Ryuzaki?”
Obviously, he was left without a response. L’s mouth drifted slightly open as he looked more tranquil than Light had ever seen before.
Light rolled his chair closer to L, where he lightly tapped on his shoulder.
L was instantly startled awake, sitting up as if Light had violently slapped him across the face. Which he has done before, but not in this case. L’s mouth quickly clamped shut, and he stared back at Light in a daze. “Yes?”
L’s reaction made Light jump as well and he pulled his arm back instinctively. “Nothing, I was just wondering if you were awake,”
“Oh, did I fall asleep?" L blindly reached over for the cup of coffee on his desk. His circadian rhythm was beyond ruined. “Can’t remember the last time I did that,”
“Sleep, you mean? Also, I don’t think it’s good for you to drink coffee at four in the morning.” Light pointed at the half empty cup L had already brought over to his mouth.
L took a generous gulp of now cold coffee, placing it back down beside him. “Well, how else am I supposed to stay awake long enough to work on this?” He gestured towards the computer in front of him.
“Maybe we can take a break and go to bed.”
L only shrugged in response, ignoring the suggestion completely. This, once again, caused the both of them to grow silent again. L continued to type on the keyboard which was starting to irritate Light, who was trying to put the very last bit of his energy into finishing his report.
He stared blankly at the computer screen, resting his chin in his hand while he listened to the now grating sounds of L typing next to him.
Out of nowhere, the sound of L’s chair rolled suddenly backwards and echoed around the room. The handcuff chain pulled Light’s arm back with it. “Alright, I guess we can take this back to our room.” L stood in his default hunched over position.
Light was forced to stand up with the unexpected tug on his side of the handcuff. “Oh, okay then,” He was relieved, but also too exhausted to show emotion.
L began to walk towards the staircase leading to the elevators while Light trailed behind him.
The door to their hotel room was unlocked with L’s keycard as he pushed it open and held it for Light.
Their room was relatively large, with one queen bed and a red couch that was placed across from a TV. It was perfect for two people, it gave them a nice amount of space and there were no problems.
The only catch about it was that the couch had been placed too far away from the bed for one to sleep on each while being handcuffed together. This could only mean that L and Light would have to share the bed.
The bed wasn’t small, it was enough to fit them both comfortably. They had been sleeping in the same bed for weeks now, the two of them had already gotten used to it.
Light walked into the room, kicking his shoes into a corner while L didn’t, as he was already barefoot.
“Did you finish reviewing the notes from yesterday?” L asked, sitting down on the bed.
Light pulled off his button up top that revealed the white shirt underneath it. “Yes,”
They went into their usual routine, where each of them would take turns in the shower. This meant that L had to sit directly outside the bathroom door while Light washed up, and vice versa. It wasn’t convenient, but L signed up for this as it was his decision to handcuff himself to Light.
After about thirty minutes, the two of them were already settled and in bed. L had his laptop in front of him with a lollipop in his mouth, while Light lay on his side as he tried to fall asleep.
The light from L’s laptop was even brighter than the one on the computer downstairs, which brightened the entire hotel room and prevented Light from sleeping.
Light finally shifted, propping himself up on one elbow. “Do you really need the brightness turned up all the way?” He squinted, looking at L then at the laptop screen.
L nodded without saying a word and not looking up from the device.
Light sighed loudly to show his annoyance and lied back down on his side. After a few seconds, he put his head face down on the mattress and adjusted the pillow to sit on top of his head.
L looked down at Light, who clearly was trying to express to him how irritated he was without saying anything. He managed to pick up on the message.
“The light is interfering with your sleep,” L said and took the candy out of his mouth, it being more of a statement than a question.
“Yes,” Light replied, his voice very muffled but L could still understand him.
“Hmm.” L stared at him momentarily before angling the laptop slightly away from Light and returning to his work, the action doing absolutely nothing.
Light eventually became unable to breathe with his face stuffed downwards, so he took the pillow off himself and turned his face to the side. “Can’t you just go to sleep?” He asked, even after turning his head away from the light.
L stopped whatever he was doing on the laptop. “Maybe later, if I get tired.” He resumed.
But Light knew that getting tired is something L never does, so soon enough he gave up and shut his eyes.
At some point, Light was somehow able to drift off, even with the obnoxious sounds of L typing and the bright screen that cast a white glow into the entire space.
The room became silent after Light fell asleep, and L’s working on the laptop stopped.
* * *
Light didn’t know when, but he soon woke up, still dazed and eyes heavy. He looked at the window, daylight burning through the small gap in the curtains.
He stirred in the bed, trying to move but realizing he was being held down. Not exactly, but something on top of him was preventing movement.
Light rubbed his eyes with his fists and looked down once fully coming back to reality.
The first thing he saw was L, directly on top of him. Now it makes sense. He thought, staring at the way L had a leg thrown over his while the rest of his body was sprawled across Light.
Light was too tired to react on the outside, but his mind wasn’t clear at all. This was now the second time Light had seen L asleep, much more peaceful than last night, and this time on top of him.
Light tried to slip out from under L, but that wasn’t going to happen. L instead shifted closer to him, if that’s even possible, and unconsciously wrapped an arm around Light so he couldn’t leave.
Not long after he woke up, Light gave up on pushing L off of him and closed his eyes. But before he could fall back asleep, he heard L’s voice.
“Light, are you awake?” L asked without moving.
Light sighed. “Yes.”
L went quiet for a moment, but still not moving although that probably would’ve been the best decision. “For how long?”
“Why, are you embarrassed?”
“…No.” L hesitated.
“How did you even end up in this… position?” Light asked without thinking, still not doing anything to get L off of him. He had enough common sense to know that moving would make it more awkward than it already was.
L felt his face flush red. It was a good thing for him that Light couldn’t see his face. “I was unconscious, Light. It’s not like I did it on purpose.”
They stopped talking for a few minutes, and L nearly drifted off again. “Are you gonna get up soon?” Light broke the silence.
L thought about the question. “In five minutes,” Light turned his head to the side and exhaled sharply, letting his eyes fall shut one more time.
The two of them soon let sleep take over them again. L stayed in the exact same position on top of Light, not taking any mind to whether he could breathe or not.
The elongated chain on their handcuffs sat uncomfortably in between them while the metal bracelet around Light’s wrist began to feel tighter than usual with L on top of it.
For the second time that morning, Light woke up again, but instead it was to the feeling of emptiness. He was unsure of how long it had been since he fell asleep.
He opened his eyes and saw L was no longer on top of him, but instead he had rolled over onto the edge of the bed. L was facing away from Light, so he wasn’t able to tell if he was awake or not.
Somehow, Light knew that L wasn’t sleeping. He was just laying there without saying anything. He recognized L didn’t look as peaceful as earlier when he was really asleep.
“Why’d you move?” Light found himself asking, not even knowing how much he missed waking up to being straddled by L. He quickly regretted asking that, but it was too late to go back.
L shifted to turn his head around towards Light. “I thought you wanted me to.”
Light opened his mouth to speak, stuttering, then closing it in embarrassment. “Well, I- I mean-“ Was all he managed to get out.
L ended up speaking for him. “Do you want me to come back?”
“…It was easier to sleep before,” Light said reluctantly, almost as if he was being forced to say so.
L said nothing for a long time before he began to push himself closer. He adjusted Light’s arm so he could lie on top of it, then wrapped his own across Light’s chest like it was nothing.
Light was way too ashamed to admit to himself the butterflies he felt twisting inside his stomach. The way L inserted himself beside Light with such ease made him feel things that he couldn’t even describe.
Once L had found a comfortable enough position, neither him nor Light were tired anymore. They were both fully awake, yet Light didn’t want to move from the bed. Or his position with L.
“Your heart is beating really fast,” L said out of nowhere, his head on Light’s chest as if he was listening for a heartbeat on purpose.
Light’s eyes widened as he quickly thought of a response he wouldn’t regret forever. “Maybe because.. you’re on top of me.”
“That wasn’t bothering you earlier,”
“I was asleep,” Light replied, almost too fast to sound natural.
“And now?” Now it was painfully obvious L was trying to tease Light, he wanted to make him feel the embarrassment of allowing another man to cuddle with him. At least that’s what Light thought.
“Now…” Light paused. “…you’re being annoying.”
L went silent yet stayed still. “You were the one who asked me to come back,” He said under his breath, but loud enough for Light to hear it.
“I only said it was easier to sleep,” Light corrected quickly.
Without Light noticing, L had slightly moved farther from him but they were still touching.
“Don’t put words in my mouth..” Light added, the butterflies quickly leaving his stomach and now feeling like a punch to the gut.
Instead of inching away again, this time L sat up and used Light to push himself upwards. “Fine, I’m sorry.” Now Light just felt guilty. Guilty because he had never heard L apologize for anything, let alone something so small.
He was also disappointed that he had somehow destroyed the intimate moment he was just having with L because of his impulsiveness.
Light sat up to mirror L, being an inch taller than him due to L’s bad posture. “What are you saying sorry for?”
Light had no idea why the panic suddenly erupted inside of him. It could’ve been L’s pathetic apology, or the fact that he had to hear L’s uncertainty for the first time that morning.
No matter the reason, the outcome of Light’s reaction came faster than he could think of it.
“Well, because I-“
Before L could finish speaking, Light grabbed the collar of his shirt and yanked him forward abruptly.
The sudden movement clinked the chain between their wrists as their faces ended up way too close to casually call it platonic.
L’s eyes widened, but Light didn’t notice as his eyes were closed the second he pulled L into him.
Light could’ve stopped, his brain protested, but his body moved purely on instinct. Their faces were less than an inch apart, close enough for Light to feel the warmth of L breathing against him.
Then Light closed the remaining distance between their mouths, allowing his lips to press against L’s without a thought behind it.
L felt a shudder pass through his entire body and a shot of arousal travel directly downwards at the sensation of Light kissing him.
The second Light broke the kiss, he leaned away far too quickly, almost like he had just realized what he did.
L grabbed the loose corner of the blanket and discreetly pulled it over his hips so nothing below was visible. He exhibited the slightest smile along with it. Thankfully for him, Light didn’t notice as he was too lost in the moment.
“Light,” L looked at him with a facial expression that showed nothing of how he was feeling.
Light dragged a hand down his face, embarrassed. “Don’t say anything,” He groaned, disappointed by his own actions.
“You were the one who grabbed me,” L interjected, not allowing Light to know or see that he actually enjoyed kissing him.
Light sighed and avoided eye contact. “I know.”
“Quite aggressively.” L couldn’t help but comment, knowing Light would quickly get defensive. Except to L’s surprise, Light didn’t say a word.
Light couldn’t bring himself to speak. It was like his throat had a lock on it. But there were no words needed as L made the next move. He only wanted to test what Light would do.
L allowed his hands to slip along Light’s thighs, using them to push himself up so they could meet eye to eye. They were one movement away from kissing again, but L held himself back.
Light stayed fixed, staring back into L’s gaze, still at a loss for words. He tried to form real thoughts, but the longer he looked at L made it harder to think clearly.
L wanted to get a reaction out of Light instead of his usual blank stare, unknowing of what he could be thinking. So he leaned his head forward and initiated closing the space between their lips once again, except this time Light kissed him back without hesitation.
Although Light had originally started it, he was feeling more vulnerable than ever. The second L slid his right hand further up Light’s thigh, something inside him gave out completely.
Light absentmindedly leaned into it, abandoning all self control he was trying to hold onto five minutes earlier. He stopped trying to understand why he even kissed L in the first place.
Their faces stayed undeniably close between breaths and every time the kiss began to break, Light found himself pulling L right back in.
Throughout their embrace, L continued to experiment, trailing his hands along Light’s body to quietly observe every reaction he could take from him.
Light’s hand somehow ended up on the back of L’s head, feeling through his surprisingly soft hair and the other one planted on his waist to keep him grounded.
Light felt around for the waistband on L’s sweatpants, not doing particularly anything, but twisting his fingers along the hem of it. L gasped in just the slightest, giving Light the opportunity to stick his tongue inside L’s mouth without warning.
L, being the last person expected to, for some reason enjoyed it. Although he didn’t enjoy being taken control of, Light was the only exception.
But the way Light instantly fought to claim dominance only increased his probability of being Kira by ten percent. L calculated this in his brain as the inside of his mouth continued to be violated by Light’s tongue.
L did end up getting bored of the repetitiveness of their makeout session, so he ended up climbing into Light’s lap to feel for anything that would make this much more interesting.
Light didn’t pay much attention to it, not until he felt the bulge in L’s pants rubbing against his own. This nearly made his entire brain short circuit, and it only worsened his condition as L began to shift around in his lap.
L was completely inexperienced. He’d make a certain movement to see if Light responded positively, and once he did, he kept doing it. L rubbed the warmth in his pants against Light’s with a determination he’s only shown during murder cases.
Light couldn’t hold back the groans L found pleasure in drawing out of him. He quickly took action by pinning L down on the mattress and hovering above him, using his free hand to pull L’s pants down. L assisted him, lifting his own hips to make it easier for what was to come.
L allowed himself to be pressed into the bed by Light’s weight, having no idea it was physically possible to be this sexually aroused. He had never done something like this before, but it mostly came natural to him.
Light began to press his lips against L’s neck, sucking marks onto it without thinking of the consequences later on. The feeling sent chills down L’s spine.
L lifted his head to give Light more space to work on his neck, his breathing becoming uneven as he imagined Light inside of him. He never would’ve seen himself thinking of something like that, but the way Light manhandled him flipped a switch inside L’s head.
Light pushed up L’s shirt without taking it completely off, so he still felt some sense of control. He worked slowly down, moving his mouth from L’s collarbone, down to his chest, and stopping at his lower stomach.
L tried his best not to react, as he knew deep down Light just wanted to humiliate him. But maybe that wasn’t the case, and Light was actually just trying to give L a good time. Kira is truly unpredictable, he thought.
While L was lost in his thoughts, he was dragged back to the present once he felt Light yank off his boxers in one swift motion and toss them away. Light kissed around the throbbing erection while L struggled to keep his patience in check. He didn’t want to break composure in front of Light.
Without any heads up, Light wrapped his lips around the tip of L’s dick. He didn’t make any noise, clamping his mouth shut as he watched Light take him in entirely.
He wrapped his free hand around L’s shaft, lowering his head on the rest of what he could fit inside his mouth. Light didn’t expect L to be carrying that much, he was struggling to swallow down the whole thing without coughing.
Light was slightly frustrated at hearing absolutely nothing from L, so he actually started to put his mouth and his good gag reflexes to use. He began to suck harder, his tongue rubbing against the bottom of the member and his free hand rubbing a soothing motion up and down L’s slender thigh.
This gave Light the response he wanted. L let out a strangled sound he accidentally let slip, turning his head to the side while carding his fingers through Light’s hair.
Light knew what he was doing, and how to do it. He bobbed his head up and down, slowly inching L closer towards release.
It was by far the best blowjob L had ever received, also being the only one. He was almost disappointed in how he had been missing out on this much.
L slapped his hand over his mouth to suppress the noises begging to come out of him. Light managed to look up slightly and see L trying to stay quiet. He reached up and grabbed L’s wrist, pulling his shaky hand off of his mouth.
L gave up after Light signaled for him to stop. As his orgasm slowly crept up to him, L let out a breathy moan that turned Light on so bad he could barely hold himself back.
He arched his back in satisfaction as he felt himself directly at the brink of coming, and Light pushed his hips down and dipped his head further onto L’s cock.
L whimpered pathetically as he came, harder than he ever has before, throwing his head back and gripping the bedsheets with full force. Light had no choice but to swallow, as the trail of L’s come traveled directly down his throat.
“Oh my God, Light,” L quietly choked out, still recovering from the rough orgasm he just had.
“Good, wasn’t it?” Light spoke as if it wasn’t even himself talking. L realized that he was like a different person during a moment like this.
Still, L nodded, Light sitting up onto his knees and preparing for the next move. He wasn’t about to let his own cock stay neglected.
Light pushed L further up the bed so he had more space. L sat his head up but still stayed in the lying down position with his bent legs spread. “You don’t have lubricant, do you?” Light asked.
For some reason, Light had high expectations for L to have lube in the bedroom. He didn’t know L hadn’t even lost his virginity yet. But still, if they didn’t have lubricant, Light would find a solution. His quick thinking was useful for many different things that weren’t just solving cases.
L found himself slightly surprised by Light’s question, although it did make sense for him to have something like that. “No, I don’t.”
“Okay, then,” Light shrugged, then held his hand out below L’s mouth. “Spit.”
L looked confused at first, but then a gear clicked in his head. He was going to use spit as a substitute for lubricant, which wasn’t very sanitary, but it’s not like anything they had done that morning was anywhere near clean.
He gathered the most amount of saliva he could in one sitting and spit it into Light’s cupped hand. L didn't understand how Light wasn’t disgusted. Even he was grossed out by his own fluids. Light during sex really brings out a new side of him.
Light spread L’s opening with one hand and stuck his index finger inside with the other, making L gasp.
He started to work him open, trying to make it as painless as possible. At one point, the tip of Light’s finger grazed L’s prostate. He moaned, and it wasn’t quiet.
L lied down flat on his back after getting too tired to hold himself up while Light prepped him. Light was still fully clothed, which was partly humiliating for L even though he still had his T-shirt on.
Light added a second finger to the process, scissoring his fingers to make it go by faster. L felt another orgasm coming up again the moment Light hit that same spot a second time.
Then a third. A fourth. It was getting unbearable. “Light, stop, I’m going to come again.” L said, trying not to react to the feeling of his prostate being stimulated.
“Hang on,” was all Light had to say while he continued to venture his middle and index finger deeper. Light was educated enough to know that he would have to stretch L out before inserting anything inside him.
L decided he wasn’t going to fight it, and let out his white, hot liquid for the second time with a high pitched whimper that almost made Light come himself.
Light carefully pulled out his spit slicked fingers from L’s entrance, moving his hands to unbutton his jeans.
L watched intently, feeling the blood rush to his lower parts once again. Light let his stripped off bottoms fall to the floor as he grabbed L’s legs to spread them further. L didn’t fight it and allowed Light to move him however he wanted. This whole thing was a test.
How would Kira picture the act of having sex with another man? It’s already confirmed that he will always go for the win, or the top, which is checked off for Light. Kira wouldn’t care about the well being of who he’s fucking, only doing it for his own benefit.
L was positive Light was Kira. But the reason why he allowed Light to dominate him would forever be a mystery not even the world’s greatest detective could solve.
Light lined himself up against L’s readied hole and gave him a look that confirmed consent. Unusual for him, but he didn’t want to end up in a second case for something with his name directly on it.
“Go ahead,” L managed to say, nearly stumbling over his words as he anticipated the moment that Light would finally push his cock into him.
Light took a breath and carefully slid inside of L, groaning with relief at the feeling of tightness around him. Despite the preparation, L still remained tense.
L didn’t feel the need to let out any unnecessary sounds. He was already desensitized from Light’s fingers, except what was now inside him was significantly larger.
He had no clue what he was doing and how to do it, so he settled on allowing Light to do all the work for him. He deserved a break every once in a while, was what he thought to himself.
Light had a greatly larger amount of experience than L, having been popular with girls. L couldn’t remember the last time he kissed someone, not even the first. Light’s actions came naturally, the way he knew how to hold L, kiss him, suck him off, and take full control of their current situation made L almost come just by thinking of it.
L proceeded to stay silent, with the exception of struggling to catch his breath, until Light decided to start moving back and forth.
Light held L by his hips and began at a slower pace, easing both him and the detective into the rhythm at first.
L felt the pressure getting smaller, then bigger with each thrust of Light’s hips, making it harder for him to stay quiet. But L knew that if he based this whole thing on not making a sound, it wouldn’t be as fun.
He didn’t need to force any moans out, as they already came naturally once Light sped up and stopped his routinely gentleness. L gasped softly, throwing his head back and biting his lip as he felt Light’s cock press in and out of him.
With each rough pound, L was pushed up the bed and nearly hit his head on the wooden frame. He wrapped his fingers around the blankets below him, clenching hard.
Light grabbed one of the hands glued to the bedsheet, intertwining his own fingers with L’s and firmly gripping his pale hand. L was slightly shocked by this, but he squeezed Light’s hand back as the comforting feeling of it turned him on.
L had no idea that he was capable of making such noises, and neither did Light. He would’ve been caught by surprise after hearing L’s desperate moans if he wasn’t so lost in grinding inside of him.
L was beyond overwhelmed by the feeling of being pounded into repetitively. He almost felt like Light was trying to kill him, just not in the typical way Kira would.
“L-Light…” L paused mid sentence to allow his lungs to catch up on breathing, struggling to form words. “…slow down,” L underestimated how much of Light’s cock he was able to take, which was strange because most of his calculations were always correct.
Light stopped completely, instantly realizing he got far too carried away. “Sorry, I’ll go slower,” He quickly apologized, largely decreasing his pace. He adjusted himself, trying to make it satisfying for both him and L, and not boring. “Is this okay?”
L nodded, trembling as he felt Light’s speed become much more bearable. “Yes,” He replied, unable to look Light directly in the eye.
It wasn’t long before Light’s dick grazed against L’s g-spot, his prostate, making L moan like it was the best thing he ever felt. Except it definitely was. Light proceeded to hit that exact spot in just the right place multiple times which made L nearly unable to breathe.
L held a deathly grip on Light’s T-shirt. He didn’t want to come too soon and would’ve rather savored the moment. L knew he was about to have an orgasm like never before.
Light kept him steady against the bed by holding him with his free hand as he reached closer to his climax.
The uneven sounds of their heavy breathing was all they could hear, along with skin slapping as Light moved his cock in and out of L.
L's weary hand found its way to his own dick, eagerly stroking himself to the same pace as Light’s thrusts. He let out a moan that sounded more like a sob as he frantically chased his release.
L came harder than he had that morning, and it felt like it lasted a lot longer than sixty seconds. L’s body trembled violently throughout his orgasm, coming onto his own stomach and staining his black shirt.
It wasn’t long before Light came too, letting out a guttural groan as he spilled into L with one last thrust.
Light didn’t collapse immediately, but instead stayed inside of L with their fingers still interlocked.
L’s face was completely tear streaked. He hadn’t even noticed he was crying until Light pointed it out. “Are you crying?”
L wiped the tears off his face with his forearm. “I am? I didn’t realize.” He was so caught up in the moment and the force of Light’s cock was so intense it drew tears. He wasn’t even crying, it was just how rough Light went on his virgin hole that made L’s eyes water.
Light let go of L’s hand and helped him with wiping the rest of the waterworks off his face. He finally decided to pull out, slowly and wincing as he did so. A portion of Light’s come fell out of L’s hole and dripped onto the now soaked bed, that they both knew they would have to clean up later.
Light allowed his body to fall next to L and he rolled over onto his back. They lay there in silence for a long time, L was unsure if he had fallen asleep or not. When he opened his eyes, both he and Light were for some reason fully clothed.
* * *
L didn’t remember drifting off or putting on pants, so he had to guess that Light did it for him. Which was a very nice thing to do, he admitted, since Light didn’t seem like the type of person who did aftercare.
Light was folding his old clothes and neatly putting them away while L remained in the bed underneath the covers, which was still crusted with bodily fluids. L grimaced at the thought of it, but he knew his legs would give out if he tried to stand up.
L closed his eyes again and Light crawled into the bed next to him, not knowing if he was awake or not.
Light settled onto his side facing away from L, staring out the window in front of him as the fully risen sun shined into their hotel room.
L looked over at Light and made an impulsive decision. He pushed himself closer to him and wrapped his arm around Light’s torso from behind, resting his hand on Light’s stomach and throwing a leg over his.
Light didn’t move and held L’s arm in place with his hand, pushing himself back to be closer to L. He was worn out, although they were supposed to be awake and in the lobby with L about an hour ago. The thought never crossed his mind.
L found himself relaxing and about to fall asleep again, until realization hit him like a freight train.
His heart dropped to his abdomen as he remembered exactly what he didn’t do before every single event that morning unfolded.
He thought about telling Light, but he didn’t want to freak him out just as they were about to take another nap. L made the decision to tell him, because he didn’t want to be the only one worried about this.
“Light?” L said reluctantly, hoping that sleep hadn’t caught up to him yet. L had no idea it was even possible to feel this paranoid.
It took a second for Light to respond. “Yes?”
L hesitated to even speak. “…I forgot to disable the cameras inside this room.” He flinched at the thought of his coworkers watching the previous footage of him getting absolutely pegged by Light.
“Oh fuck.”
