Chapter Text
The smell of the salty sea air felt refreshing to her lungs as Scylla took in a deep breath pulling the curtain back. She stepped over the threshold of the hut walking over to the railing wearing an opened white short-sleeve button down over her sapphire blue bikini. The breeze was light from the west passing through the hut carrying the faint hint of coffee through the air. She smiled looking out over the vast crystal blue waters of the south pacific.
“Looking good Ramshorn.” Scylla followed the sound looking to her right over at the deck of the hut beside her where Abigail stood leaning against her own railing clad in a striking red bikini.
“Feeling good Bellweather.” Scylla smiled back at her friend.
“Where’s Shitbird?” Abigail questioned with a grin.
“If you must know my wife is…” Scylla stopped the moment Raelle walked out of the hut.
“Right here, bringing my lovely bride her morning coffee.” Raelle said as she smiled handing Scylla a cup of coffee while holding her own away from her as not to spill it when she leaned in giving Scylla a kiss. Raelle wore an emerald green bikini top with an orange sarong tied around her waist. They both repositioned beside each other before taking a sip of coffee.
“Huh, must be nice to have someone make your coffee for you.” Abigail leaned her hip into the railing looking over at Raelle and Scylla.
“Where’s Adil?” Raelle asked before taking another sip.
Abigail pointed out into the ocean lagoon, about fifty yards away they could see a snorkel. “The husband decided all of a sudden that he’s Jacques Cousteau.” Abigail used air quotes while laughing about the whole thing. “He’s out there with his fancy new underwater camera documenting his aquatic adventures. Thanks for that by the way.”
Scylla and Raelle each gave a small laugh shaking their heads. “Lighten up Bells. It was the perfect wedding gift for him.” Raelle laughed.
“Oh, I am. I’ll probably go join him soon I just wanted to wait a little to let my breakfast settle and you know breathe in my surroundings.” Abigail motioned to the world surrounding them with her arms in the air. “Thanks for the honeymoon, Rae.”
“Of course.” Raelle raised her mug towards Abigail.
“Thanks for suggesting the double wedding, it was perfect.” Scylla joined Raelle in raising her mug towards Abigail while her arm rested around Raelle’s waist.
“It only seemed logical, what with the water pipe busting at the venue due to the Christmas Eve snow. Raelle to the rescue as always offering up her home and backyard for Adil and I. We couldn’t not ask you two to join us in a double wedding especially since we had to move it to New Years Eve. We’re sisters after all, entering the new year starting new chapters in our lives was the only way to go.” Abigail’s grin slowly turned into a look of curiosity. “Speaking of sisters have you heard a peep from the newly engaged?”
Just as Abigail asked there was a large splash followed by laughter behind Scylla and Raelle towards the other hut.
“Oh!” Scylla quickly averted her eyes.
Raelle looked around her to see what the commotion was. “Tal! Your birthday suit, really?”
“Hi guys.” Tally barely managed to get out as a naked Sarah Alder appeared behind her dunking Tally under the surface of the water before realizing eyes were looking at her. Sarah quickly submerged herself swimming away. Embarrassed giggling could be heard out of sight of Raelle and Scylla under the huts somewhere.
“Well, I guess someone is having some fun this morning.” Abigail laughed.
“Seems so.” Raelle followed suit.
“I think it’s great.” Scylla smiled resting her chin on Raelle’s shoulder.
“It is.” Raelle turned giving Scylla a kiss on her cheek.
“Where do you think they’ll go on their honeymoon?” Scylla asked.
“We could come back to Bora Bora.” Raelle answered raising her arms looking out at their surroundings.
“We?” Scylla asked.
“Oh, we’re all going with them.” Abigail proclaimed. “In fact, Rae I think we should come up with the destination and give it to them as a wedding gift.”
“Agreed.” Raelle nodded.
Scylla looked back and forth between the two shaking her head with a grin. “Is it always going to be like this with you three?”
Raelle looked at Scylla smiling.
“You know, I think that’s my queue to join my husband. What’s that? Coming Adil.” Abigail walked to the edge and dove off into the calm waters.
Scylla looked at Raelle with her mouth slightly open and laughed. “Uh, ha ha.”
Raelle sat her mug down on the railing. Reaching down she took Scylla’s placing it beside hers before bringing her into an embrace. “Your part of the family now, we come as a package.” Raelle grinned holding back a laugh. “Are you having second thoughts?”
Scylla wrapped her arms around Raelle’s neck. “Wouldn’t change it for the world.” Scylla narrowed her eyes grinning as she leaned in taking Raelle’s lips passionately.
A few minutes passed before they broke the heated kiss. “Want to take this inside and have a repeat performance of last night?” Raelle whispered through the kiss.
Just then they heard the ringing of a phone. Raelle looked around. The sound was coming from Abigail’s hut.
“Abs!! We said we were keeping our phones off!” Raelle yelled out into the ocean. The phone kept ringing.
“Rae, let it go. It’ll stop soon.” Scylla wrapped her arms around Raelle from behind resting her chin on her shoulder trying to regain her attention.
“I know, but we’re in Bora Bora. We’re supposed to leave the real world home not here, not in paradise.” Raelle frowned. The ringing finally stopped.
Scylla smiled turning Raelle around in her embrace. “Where were we?”
Raelle grinned moving in for a kiss.
“RAE!!” The shriek was rattling causing Raelle and Scylla to jump. They looked over to see Tally and Sarah with a phone in her hand standing in towels. “He escaped! Hearst Escaped!”
