I saw groundhog day and decided to go the angsty route. I thought to myself what scene in the whole show caused the fandom the most trauma... the execution. I wondered if the one scene could cause so much trauma how much I could get if I played that scene...on a loop!

Why hadn’t she seen the signs? Why hadn’t she been there in time to save her girlfriend?
Replaying the events in her head, Scylla couldn’t believe that she had left Raelle all alone in the tent while she went into town to gather supplies. Raelle was sick and she should’ve been there to take care of her. Instead, Raelle was gone, swallowed up by the mycelium.
She knew that Raelle was scared but she wondered if Raelle knew that she had done everything she could to hurry back and stop her from being taken. She imagined Raelle waking up alone, sick with whatever that was plaguing her body and then being snatched away by the mycelium.

Summary
Scylla was an enigma to begin with. She had walked up to her that day by the blasting site with a confidence that Raelle had never seen and with a few words, she had captured her soul. Scylla brought out the best parts of her, showing her the beauty of the world and encouraging her to fight for a future for them. Even when Scylla was acting suspicious about Porter’s death, Raelle still couldn’t keep away from her. In fact, she loved her more.
Because of Scylla, Raelle had found a purpose to keep on living. Because of Scylla, Raelle had started taking her basic training more seriously. She had showed Raelle that she had a future where she could be happy.
When she thought that she had lost Scylla to the storm, she had been plunged into despair and grief. Losing her mama had already taken a toll on her and losing Scylla just worsened everything.
Scylla was her anchor, her motivation to keep living.
