Chapter Text
The two of them walked away from the school together hand in hand. No one stared at them or called them any slurs as they walked. The disguises were working brilliantly. Oboro led his love through the streets until they reached their cafe. He looked at the building with a smile, “I've missed this place.”
Izuku nodded, "Me too. It's been too long. I'm just sad our favored batista won't recognize us. Okay, let's go love on some kitties!"
Oboro laughed as he opened the door and the two of them walked into the cafe. It was like home and comfort washed over them as they looked around the cafe. It was nice to be able to go out and do things with his love again, he hoped they’d be able to do so more often and without the disguises.
The two of them ordered their drinks and a snack before they headed to the booth to wait. Izuku happily snuggled against Oboro as they waited. It was perfect. He loved being able to just be alone with his love.
When their food and drink arrived their favorite barista smiled at them and whispered “it's nice to see you two back again. No one else ever orders this combination.” she winked at them before walking away as if nothing had happened.
Izuku giggled, "Guess we're kinda unique and predictable, huh, love." He kissed Oboro on the cheek.
Oboro nodded as he too laughed. “Guess so, but that makes things all that much better.”
Izuku nodded as he took a drink of his drink, "Yeah it does. Well, as long as she's the only one to recognize us. I can't imagine others would be as happy to see us right now."
He nodded “thankfully not a lot of people out here know us that well. We just need to be careful and we’ll be fine love.”
"Very true," Izuku said, pushing his false glasses up his face. "How the hell do Nem and Zashi wear these things? They keep slipping down my nose."
Oboro laughed, “because they have no choice, bunny, and theirs are fitted properly to their faces, unlike yours.”
Izuku stuck his tongue out, "You and your damn logic. Now, hurry up and eat so we can snuggle some kitties!"
Oboro shook his head at his love but began to eat his snacks and finish his drink. The two of them cuddled the kitties for a couple hours before they headed out towards the beach. The two walked hand in hand along the snowy sand just happy to be together. There were several groups of people along the beach surprisingly.
Oboro smiled, "You and Kat did a good job keeping this beach clean after it became a dump. I hope we can have a proper summer date here."
“Oh we will, there's nothing that’ll keep us away this summer.. Though it’ll have to be after summer camp i guess.” he couldn't wait to have a picnic here on the beach in the warm sun.
Oboro chuckled, "Well, let's hope this year's summer camp won't be as bad as the last two. No villains and no bugs."
He nodded, “It sure better be, i'm sorry if any bugs or villains show up this time i'm gonna beat them bloody. All I ask is one normal summer camp experience damnit.”
"Yeah, that would be nice. If Zashi isn't there, then bugs shouldn't be a problem. The villains, well, I can't promise you anything."
"It's not like the two of you will be getting another summer camp," a raspy voice said from right behind the two of them, causing Oboro to freeze up.
Izuku tensed then then growled as he turned around, his eyes flashing with anger. “Really? Really crusty mcdusty fuck? You decide to interrupt the first date I get with my love? Do you really think that was a fucking good idea? Because now I'm pissed and I'm gonna make it your problem.”
Shigaraki chuckled, "Oh, you really think that's a good idea? Look at all of these lovely civilians! You willing to risk them? You know, when the Doc was still around, I would’ve just turned the two of you into nomus. Or just Kurogiri. You, Midoriya, might’ve just been turned into another bit of stress relief. Speaking of, you have my toy at UA. Once I'm done with the two of you, I'm taking it back. I hear it's younger now, not so burnt. Guess I can finally leave marks on it."
Izuku rolled his eyes. “You think you’re really gonna get even close to taking us down? I've beaten you several times already, this time i'm not letting you get away.” he took a quick step back and yelled. “THIS IS PROVISIONAL LICENSED HERO NIMBUS. ALL CIVILIANS NEED TO EVACUATE.” Then he grabbed the blade he always kept on him and pressed the unicorn charm around his wrist to call for backup. This ended here.
Shigaraki chuckled, "Oh really? And what's a NULL going to do about it? Huh?" He moved to attack.
The movement shook Oboro out of his fear. Years of hearing that voice commanding him was hard to get over. He pushed a cloud between the villain and Izuku. "Don't touch him!"
Izuku grinned “the same thing I did with Overhaul and the doctor and so many others. I'm gonna destroy you.” he was about to engage when the cloud formed between them. He looked at his love curiously. They needed to fight him, they needed to get him away from the panicking and stupidly gawking civilians.
Oboro didn't look at Izuku. Instead, he pushed the cloud forward against Shigaraki. He wouldn't let him hurt Izuku. He wouldn't let him take his love wherever it was he wanted to take him. He wasn't going to lose him again!
“Oh look at you pretending to be a hero, we all know you're nothing more than a slave. I will have you back kurogiri.” shigaraki yelled as he laughed maniacally, he turned and saw a woman standing close to them. “But first I'll make everyone hate you even more than they do.” with that he turned and lunged at the woman with his hand out.
Oboro's eyes went wide. No, he couldn't let this monster hurt anyone else. He had to keep his cloud in front of Izuku to protect him, but then he couldn't save the woman. Making up his mind, he hoped Izuku wouldn't hate him for this.
He lunged at the woman, knocking her to the ground. However, Shigaraki’d been too close and, instead of hurting the woman, his hand made contact with the right side of his upper chest. His jacket and shirt quickly disintegrated before he felt the rough hand on his chest. He cried out feeling his skin and muscles start to disintegrate.
Hearing his love cry out made izuku see red. He moved without thinking, not caring that they were being recorded. Blade raised, he brought it down hard, cutting the man's hand so deep it was barely hanging on. His blade wasn't meant to cut through bone after all, it wasn't one of his support blades. “Don't fucking touch him you bastard.” he yelled
Shigaraki cried out in pain as he moved away from a bleeding Oboro. The blood on his hands a mixture of the bluenette and his own. "You fucking bastard! I'll kill you! You won't fucking keep me from what I want!" He held his bleeding wrist to his chest as he lunged at Izuku with his other hand extended.
Izuku spun out of the way and shot out a kick hitting him hard in the back and throwing him to the ground. “You won't touch him. You’re finished musty fucker.”
Shigaraki growled as he was thrown into the snow. The white under him slowly turning red with his blood. He reached back with his good hand in an attempt to hit Izuku, "Fuck you, you brat! I'll get him and turn him back into my fucking slave. I'll have him kill all those little friends of yours!"
“Nimbus look out!” someone shouted to warn him of the hand coming towards him. Izuku’d turned to check on oboro, but the call made him turn his attention back to shigaraki. He was quick to avoid the hand, his own booted foot coming down on the wrist that was reaching out for him. They didn't have suppressant cuffs with them though. So instead with the other foot he kicked out, kicking him hard in the head with a crack.
The hit to the head mixed with blood loss knocked Shigaraki out cold. Oboro was breathing hard as he tried to look at Izuku. However, moving hurt his wound. He wasn't sure how far down it went but he was bleeding quite a bit. He looked at the woman still under him, "You…okay….ma'am?"
The woman looked at him for a second in shock then she nodded her head tears in her eyes “thank you loud cloud. You saved my life… you’re my hero.”
The sound of sirens was heard through the air, but before they could arrive izuku looked up when he heard a roar of a dragon, a roar he knew well and finally the adrenaline wore off and he ran to his stormy and got to his knees tears filling his eyes as he tossed his wig to the side. “Stormy? Stormy, are you okay?”
Oboro winced, "I…I hurt…Bunny…I'm sorry…had to…protect you…and the…civilian." Breathing hurt and so did moving. He didn't think the wound was deep enough to kill from damaged organs, but blood loss was a real concern. His head felt a little fuzzy.
Izuku glared at the other teen. “You need to protect yourself too, stormy. I can't lose you again.”
Spyro landed and placed a figure on the ground. Recovery Girl walked over to them through the snow. “I swear the two of you are always keeping me working. Now move aside, nimbus, let me see him.”
Oboro winced, "Sorry…Bunny," he looked up at Recovery Girl and tried to give his best smile, "I
…didn't do…it this…time."
The older woman huffed and tutted her tongue at the boy “you’re making me feel old loud cloud. Maybe I should send your sensei to tell you some stories as you heal up in the infirmary." The police officers had arrived by then and there was a snort from a little ways away.
“Don't scar the boy Chiyo.” Tsukauchi said as he headed over to where Sashi was cuffing shigaraki.
"No…stories, please," Oboro said with a cringe. He didn't need stories of the two of them having sex. The nightmares that would cause.
Sashi looked down at where Shigaraki's body lay unmoving. A part of him just wanted to snap his stupid neck. However, that wasn't heroic. He cuffed the man as much as he could with his messed up wrist and dragged him over to where the ambulances were. Villain or not, it was inhuman to let him bleed out from the wound. He'd probably have his hand cut off and the wound sewed shut before he was executed
Izuku smiled at Stormy as Chiyo looked over the wound. “Well this is going to scar, but it's not too bad. I'm going to give you a healing kiss and you can rest.”
Oboro nodded, "Well…they say…scars are a…big turn on." He chuckled slightly before wincing at the pain it caused.
Izuku glared “if you weren't so hurt i’d hit you right now love.”
Chiyo chuckled before placing a kiss on the boy's forehead activating her quirk.
Oboro gave a sleepy smile as his energy was kissed out of him. His wound didn't hurt as much, though it still felt a little tender, "Thanks, Granny." His head rolled towards Izuku, "Such a pretty bunny."
Izuku giggled at his boyfriend. “Go to sleep stormy, you're drunk.” he leaned down and kissed the boy, he was so happy to know he was gonna be okay, but he was going to lecture him later when he woke up about his own self preservation.
“Trouble magnet quirk strikes again I see.” shouta drawled as he walked onto the scene as they loaded oboro onto a gurney.
Izuku stuck his tongue out, "Not a trouble magnet quirk. Crusty McFucky fuck thought it’d be a good idea to ruin our date and my lovely boyfriend has zero self-preservation."
Shouta raised an eyebrow “pot, kettle problem brother.”
Izuku flipped Shouta off, "Okay, but I didn't jump in front of Mr. Bad Touch when I could’ve just hit him with another cloud."
“Hmm no, you jump in front of him with no plan and get hurt, sometimes thoughts go out the window when fighting. Let's get you guys home, the news stations are going nuts already.”
Izuku groaned, "Better not be more slander bullshit. We didn't do that damn press conference yet so I can imagine the hate people are spewing. Probably thought Shigafuck let us win."
Shouta chuckled “actually, the tables’ve turned. Because of you alerting the civilians of the threat, and ‘Ro saving the woman at the cost of his own safety, people are praising you both. There's still some hate, but more support than ever before.”
Izuku was slightly surprised by that, "Oh wow. Maybe we'll actually get to go on a date without the disguises this time. Now that his ass is taken care of, we better have one fucking normal summer camp or I swear I'm gonna start throwing hands."
Shouta chuckled. “Hopefully your trouble magnet quirk won't act up again for a while. Now come on, let's get you out of the cold and home.”
The two of them headed for the car, while oboro was loaded into one of UA’s vans to bring back to the school. As they drove, Izuku checked the news sites and really was shocked by the amount of support, there was hate mixed in but it was a lot less than it used to be. He felt a weight lifting off of his chest.
As soon as they made it into school grounds, Oboro was taken to the infirmary for some further observations until he woke up. The family, however, surrounded the car almost as soon as it parked. There were voices overlapping each other, asking questions. Izuku was just glad Denki still had Eri somewhere because Katsuki was cursing up a storm.
"What the fuck Do you mother fuckers think you're doing," Katsuki shouted, "Taking on that crust fuck bitch without me fucking there?! I should kick your fucking asses you damn idiots!"
Izuku raised an eyebrow at his brother “yes because we definitely knew he was gonna show up on our date and we just decided to exclude you kaachan. As for what we were thinking, well we were thinking we needed to keep the people on the beach safe.”
Katsuki glared. Not a real glare, but more of a pouty glare, "Yeah, well your shitty fucking asses should’ve waited for me. Glad you're safe and shit."
Izuku smiled “thanks kaachan, but no, waiting for your slow ass wasn't an option. But hey, we’re finally all free, just in time for second year to start.”
Shoto nodded, "Arakan’ll be very happy to hear that. I had to move him away from the TV. Just seeing Shigaraki had him smoking and on the verge of a panic attack."
Izuku nodded “good, he’ll finally be able to rest at night i think.”
Shoto nodded, "He will. It won't take away his nightmares just yet, but maybe one night of good dreams would be acceptable."
He smiled gently “good, he deserves to be free of all the bad. It’ll be nice to see everyone get the true second chance.”
"Has Nezu talked about what's gonna happen to Himi's birth parents?" Neito asked Izuku, "She deserves some justice so she can be free too. Poor thing."
Izuku shook his head “not yet. I know he was looking into them but so far I haven't heard anything. I’ll ask about it when I see him tomorrow for tea.”
"So, is Ro gonna be okay?" Eijiro asked, looking back at the school, "I know sensei had issues when his elbow got destroyed."
Izuku nodded “granny said he’d be okay. It's going to scar and he may have some pain but he’s gonna be okay. So did eri bite you?”
"What, why would that angel bite me?" The redhead asked, eyes wide.
Shoto leaned over, "We hid the candy while they were going to the bathroom. She didn't get to have a sugar high."
Izuku sighed in relief “oh thank kami, i hate seeing her after her crash nap. It makes me so sad how bad she feels afterwards… she didn't see anything right?”
"No, nothing," Hitoshi said, "As soon as we started getting alerts, Denki changed it to one of the streaming services. You're gonna have to tell her what happens when she sees the scar, though."
“Oh thank kami. I know we have to tell her, heck ill have to tell her when she learns stormy’s in the infirmary, but seeing it would have given her nightmares. She just recently stopped having them.” he rubbed his face. “Okay, i'm gonna go check on him, thanks for watching eri and keeping her from seeing anything. Can you bring her by the infirmary in about half an hour?”
They all nodded. "Tell him we said hi if he wakes up before we bring her up there," Hitoshi said with a wave.
Izuku waved back before heading to the infirmary. Oboro didn't wake up until later that evening, but izuku explained what happened to him once eri was with him. She worried and cried but she was also happy all the bad men were finally gone and they were able to do things again. When oboro did finally wake up, and chiyo allowed him to go back to the dorms, not their apartment, the three of them snuck inside and up to izuku’s dorm room.
There, the three of them got dressed for bed, curled up together, and drifted off to sleep. Of course, it was as he was about to fall asleep that Izuku remembered that they hadn’t gotten anything they had gone out shopping for. Well, they hadn’t been able to actually go shopping. Maybe they’d be able to do it the next day. Probably not. He didn’t think Eri would be happy with them leaving the school grounds so soon after an attack. He kissed his little unicorn’s head as he thought about how protective she was of her family. Izuku was so lucky to have the two of them.
After the incident on the beach, life for the large family and friends went back to normal. Eri was finally able to give Himiko her gift and turned her back to the age of seven years old. They also noticed those who’d been turned back started to revert to the age mentally that they had physically been turned back to. Not fully of course, but a lot of the bad they’d endured seemed to gray out in their minds and affect them less. They were a bit confused by the fact this didn't happen to oboro as well but after investigation it seemed all the quirks he had forced upon him, negated the effect of eri’s quirk. Nedzu had himi’s parents arrested, as well as the entire staff of Aldera middle school and elementary.
Now the entrance exams had passed and it was time for 1-a to become 2-a. Everyone in the class was excited for the change, they were growing and learning. All of them were excited for this next adventure in their schooling. Izuku on the other hand was once again nervous about Haven, they were finally working on bringing it to life, and it was terrifying as well as exciting.
Tensei’d been able to get his teaching license, all of his time teaching Eri being used as experience so he was able to quickly get it. Nedzu was slowly opening up the younger grades schooling. The first to enroll in the UA elementary school were Eri, Himiko, and Kota. With the Pussycats getting more into their heroics, and Ragdoll getting her quirk back after the execution of All for One, they didn’t have as much time to spend with him and it was starting to show in his schooling. He was acting out more against the quirkist comments and the school had threatened to put a black mark on his record if it continued. Instead of forcing the boy through that, Mandalay agreed to put him into the UA school. They were still trying to work out how he’d get to school everyday, but the boy seemed happier now. It was one step closer to having Haven up and running.
The second day of classes they had a heroics class, the students were excited until shouta pulled out the QAT for them again. There were groans but no one really complained, they were all excited to see how far they’d come in the last year. In the end, every single one of them had improved immensely and shouta had to admit he was proud of them all.
Unlike the year before, they didn’t get a grace period to get used to classes. Instead, they started going from day one. There were some groans about that, but they all knew that waiting would do absolutely nothing to help them become better heroes. If they wanted to be the best heroes they could be, they didn’t have time for breaks. By the end of the day, the students were all ready to crash, having had their brains pumped full of information. Ectoplasm’s class had most of them feeling like their brains were about to explode with all of the formulas and numbers thrown at them. Math was never fun first thing in the morning.
When classes did end, shouta asked izuku, hitoshi, oboro, and neito to stay behind for a minute. The others snickered but left their friends alone in the classroom with their sensei.
“So, i know hitoshi and izuku have been talking about this since the beginning of the first year, but now that you four are officially in second year i've been asked to approach you officially about it. Do you four want to be an underground unit?”
The four looked at each other. More so, Neito and Oboro were looking at each other. Oboro might have more training when he was sixteen the first time, but this was something new to him. Neito was the one to ask, “What exactly is an underground unit?”
Shouta nodded, it was a logical question. “So in japan, it doesn't happen often, but underground units or U.H.U are specialized hero teams, they patrol together to cover more ground, but not too far away just in case they need back up. The teams have shown to be more efficient than heroes that work alone because they’ve trained and worked together as a team. Think of special forces in the military, but as underground heroes.”
“Why is it important that we’re asked at the beginning of our second year?” Neito asked again, head tilted to the side. “Is it so teams can be formed better or is it just because there are four students going underground?”
“Part of it’s so the team can learn to work better together, another part is teams need to take some specialized classes. You’d need to test out of some of your core classes, which the four of you can easily do with your grades. Once you do that, we can get you enrolled into the specialty classes you need to become a team.”
“And, what if some of the family decide that they want to go under instead of limelight?” Neito asked. He wasn’t sure if any of them would, but it was a good question to ask. He could see someone like Shoto wanting to just so he could get away from his sperm donor’s name.
Shouta tilted his head. “Well, you can always add others to your unit if you feel like they’d be a good fit, but that would be up to you four. You’ll need to choose a team leader though, someone to be able to make the tough calls and listen to.”
None of them said anything to that. Izuku found three sets of eyes looking at him. He looked from his brother to the other three teens, “What? Do I have something on my face or something?”
Hitoshi snorted “no dumbass, you’re the one we want to be our team leader.”
“Hey, no name calling,” Izuku said, poking Hitoshi on the nose, “And why do you automatically assume I’d be good leader material? I’m not like Momo. There’s a reason I didn’t want to be the class president.” Though, his confidence had increased since the start of his first year. He wouldn’t deny that. But, would that make him a good leader? He wasn’t sure.
Oboro sighed, shaking his head “bunny, from what i've seen, everyone in the class looks at you for leadership. It’s subtle but it's there, you’re smart, you think of strategies no one else would think of. You're always there for everyone else no matter the time of day or the issue. You’d make an amazing team leader. And just because you’re the leader doesn't mean you have to do everything yourself.”
Izuku sighed, “Yeah, yeah. Just because I can outsass Overhoe while my dear brother/nephew gets turned into meat on a stick doesn’t mean that I’m leader material. Neito’s pretty good at them too. He’s just as smart as I am and just as good recognizing quirks and their properties. Why me instead of him?”
“Because you’re the one we all look to izuku.” neito said “there's just something about you, you got shoto free from his sperm donor, you've done so much for all of us and we want you to be our leader officially.”
Izuku groaned, “Fine, fine. Whatever. I’ll be the damn leader as long as you all stop with the compliments. I can take the physical ones from Stormy but not this. Just make it stop!”
The four laughed, shouta shaking his head “alright, so I guess you four are doing this then?”
“Yeah, looks like it, old man,” Izuku said with a sigh, “But I’m stealing your damn jelly pouches. Making me be team leader and all this shit. And I’m not talking just the regular ones. I want the caffeine ones.”
Oboro shoved him, “Bunny no, you need real food, not caffeinated jelly pouches.”
“Stormy, love of my life,” Izuku said, giving him the sweetest smile he could, “I’ll need the caffeine and I don’t drink coffee. If you want everyone to survive, I’m taking Shou’s caffeinated pouches.”
Oboro chuckled and kissed him softly "I'll look into some caffeinated teas as well bunny."
Shouta rolled his eyes at the antics of his brother "Alright, so tomorrow during home room you four’ll be pulled out to test out of a couple classes."
The four nodded their heads. It would be weird but none of them were particularly heartbroken to miss some core classes. Izuku knew Hizashi would be sad to have less people in his English class. Izuku knew he’d make it up to his brother. Maybe the kids would like to learn English or he could start teaching Keigo and Arakan. Actually, Izuku thought, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to see about teaching them all sign language.
"Alright get out of here brats, I'll see you four in the morning."
Izuku stood and took Stormy's hand before they walked out of the classroom "I want to stop by the teachers lounge love. I want to talk to Zashi about something."
Oboro nodded, “Alright. Anything to be concerned about?” Oboro walked with Izuku towards the teacher’s lounge. He trusted Izuku not to lead him into a trap with Nedzu or one of their friend’s pranking him. Though, he’d happily shove one of them out the window if they did. He’d catch them…before they hit the ground of course.
He shook his head "no, I was just thinking, with us being out of his class he's gonna be sad. Sad Zashi is very pouty. Also I thought it might be good if he did a sign class for the kids. I know kaachan’s ignoring and hiding it, but his hearing’s starting to get worse."
Oboro smiled down at his shorter love, “I think that’s a wonderful idea. We might have to find a way to convince Katsuki to get hearing aids before too long if it’s getting worse. I wonder if he’s gonna need glasses being so close to his explosions. We might talk to Shou about getting him tested by Chiyo.”
Izuku’d never thought about that, but it made sense, his explosions were bright and hot, he had no eye protection in his hero costume either. "I think we should talk to mei too, she could probably add in ear and eye protection so he has longer before he needs anything else. He's a stubborn asshole so getting him to accept it's gonna be hard."
“We’ll have to run it by him before we modify his hero costume, you know that right?” Oboro said as they got closer to the teacher’s lounge, “He might fight it a bit, but he wants to be the number one. He wants to be the best of the best. If we mention that the added protection’ll help him and throw Eri at him, he might agree to it.”
He laughed "eri really is a great weapon to use against them all. I'd like to have something to show him before we bring it up. It's always been easier to convince him with physical things for him to see. He's a very tactile person."
They reached the lounge and Izuku knocked before walking in. It wasn't like the staff weren't used to him now being around often. He spotted his brother at his desk grading papers and smiled as he walked towards him.
Hizashi heard the footsteps coming closer to him and looked up to see his brother and Oboro. “Don’t tell me, Shou already told you guys you’ll be missing core classes. You’re staying in mine, right? Don’t tell me I’m losing more of you!”
Oboro gave him a small smile "you know we're fluent in English Zashi, your class was just a formality."
Izuku nodded "yeah, but we did have an idea for you. What do you think about teaching the kids sign?"
“Mean,” Hizashi said, pointing his pen at Oboro, “you being in my class was because you loved me.” He looked to Izuku, “Are you talking the three new elementary students or those three and the younger two teens?”
" I'm thinking all five of them. I know eri loves to learn, and she loves her uncle Zashi, so win win there. Plus it would be good for all of them to learn since at least one of my friends’ll need it in the future."
Hizashi nodded, “Yeah, I always figured the yelling wasn’t just because Katsuki liked it. Alright, I’ll get some lesson plans made up so we can start.” He looked at the papers in front of him, “You know, the new batch of my 1C kids are worse than the year before. A lot of them saw the fight with Shiggy and they’re pissed that the exam wasn’t changed so they could be in the hero course. Why does Shou get to stay with his kids?” Hizashi was most definitely pouting.
Both of them chuckled "because everyone else refuses to deal with us. Why’d they think the exam would change just because of that fight? I had to pass that exam just like everyone else."
Hizashi sighed, “From what I’ve heard of the complaining, they thought that it would be changed since there’s now a very out quirkless kid in the hero course. They expected the school to be able to change it from the very biased robot exam to something a little more…inclusive of other quirks. Which dad’s been trying to do since he took over as principal.”
Izuku rolled his eyes. "Do you want me to talk to them for you? Maybe kick a few of their asses to show them why I deserve my spot? I know he's been trying but the board’s pushing back saying if I can pass then it's not a bad thing to keep the exam."
Hizashi shook his head, “No. They aren’t wrong for how they feel. UA should have more of an inclusive exam. Heroics shouldn’t just be quirks like All Might and Endeavor. People like Shou and you deserved to be in the hero course from the start. This is mostly coming from those with the ‘weaker’ quirks. I think they see you as a turning point for heroics, where it can be more accepting. We just need to see if Gran and pops expel anyone or not. I’ll make sure to make a list of anyone that seems to actually want to put in the work to be in heroics instead of just complaining. Could be a good upperclassman program, helping them train for the festival.”
Oboro nodded "yeah, I wouldn't mind helping if they actually put in the work. I'm just as bad as shou when training people."
Izuku nodded "as long as it doesn't interfere with our other course work I’d be happy to take one or two of them under my metaphoric wing. I'm kind of curious how the first year heroics class is. I know Gran took over the home room class so it’ll be an interesting year."
Hizashi shook his head, “Those poor first years.” He looked back up at the two of them, “Arlight, go do whatever it is you lovebirds do after school. Remember, utility closets are not the place to get frisky in. I don’t need to walk in on that again with you two.”
The two boys laughed "dad has them all wired now, plus the apartments close enough. Have fun grading and whatever it is you old people do." Izuku laughed harder at the offended squawk coming from his brother as they headed out of the lounge.
The two of them left the lounge hand in hand. “So,” Oboro said as they walked hand in hand, “We going to go down the rabbit hole today or are we meeting up with the others? I feel like we need to have some kind of explosive tea cup when we go to see Mei.”
Izuku chuckled, "Let's give it a day or two of her scarring the new first year's before we go down there."
"Oh kami, do you really think Powerloader's gonna let her near the first years so soon. Think of all the explosions she'll cause," Oboro said with a shudder.
Izuku nodded "yeah he plans to use her as a scare tactic, just like everyone else uses shou."
"Awe, but Shou's not that scary. Especially not when you've seen him emerge as a beautiful moth with hot pink pants on," Oboro chuckled, "Where did he even get those pants from?"
Izuku laughed "I have no idea! Probably Zashi or Nem as a joke like his first sleeping bag."
Oboro chuckled, "Probably. Granted, Shou was willing to wear a skirt for Halloween so I'm not sure why they thought he wouldn't wear hot pink pants. Really, that hobo only cares about if it's comfy."
"Yeah, I've never understood their thinking process." he shook his head "Let's go find the others."
Oboro nodded and the two of them went in search of their friends. It was still so strange having so many new friends and family for Oboro. He loved it. He loved that they’d need to build a bigger place if they wanted to host everyone for holidays or just family dinners. It was more than he could have ever asked for.
It didn't take long to find them, after all their friends were loud. What was a bit odd was Kaachan was glaring at a couple kids who looked like first years. "Hmmm think he's going to explode someone?"
Oboro furrowed his brows, "I…don't know. It looks like he might. We should go over there and keep him from hurting someone. Unless they attack and he uses self-defense, he'll get in trouble for hurting them."
Izuku sighed "probably a good idea. I don't see eiji anywhere." together they walked over to their explosive friend "kaachan?"
Katsuki glared at the kids in front of him. It was taking all of his self-control not to explode one of the brats. He grit his teeth, "What, Zuzu."
"You aren't planning on blowing up a first year before Torino sensei has his chance are you?"
The first year, a cocky looking pretty boy, sneered, "Yeah, Kaachan, you're not planning on doing something unheroic like attacking first years, are you? Who would have known the kid who's been the victim so much would be a villain."
Izuku turned his head slowly, a dark aura surrounding him as he looked at the brat "did you just call my brother a villain?"
Oboro shook his head "oh you just fucked up."
The boy scoffed, "What's it to you, null? You gonna try and fuck your way to being a hero? I'm not interested, so go whore your way through the real heroes somewhere else."
Izuku just smirked "oh he's going to make your life a living hell boy. I’ve proven myself many times over, but you? You're just some cocky little shit who thinks you can coast by on some flashy quirk aren't you?"
"Please, like I care what some weak little null has to say. You're a charity case who paid his way by spreading his legs for every Tom, Dick, and Harry in this school. Why don't you go back to the red light and leave heroics to those of us with actual potential," the boy said, earning a few laughs from the other first years with him.
Izuku rolled his eyes."oh yeah because Eraserhead who’s one of the strictest teachers in the school, and asexual is totally going to sleep with me. But hey I think overhaul, stain, shigahandfuck and many more would disagree with you here. But if you think you're such a hot shot. Why not spar with me and see what happens. Though, I wouldn't want to hurt your fragile pride."
The boy rolled his eyes, "Oh please, everyone knows you got a lucky shot cause that villain tried to play hero. What, you thought no one would see behind that little charade? You probably let him hurt you, planned it even, so people would think you weren't a villain and he wasn't a useless fuckwad."
Izuku saw red and instantly he pulled back and slammed his fist into the fucker face breaking his nose."don't you dare call him a villain. You do realize every single thing you just fucking spouted is discrimination. Which UA has a no tolerance policy for."
The first year held his bleeding nose, "What the fuck, you mother fucker!"
"That null just broke his nose! Go get someone! He needs to be expelled!" Another said to the group.
Sashi landed then and glared at the kids "no, but those of you using slurs against another student do need to be expelled. This campus has cameras and audio everywhere."
"He hit him!" One of the boy's said, "He started it! We're allowed to have opinions!"
His eyes narrowed "actually, I saw what happened while flying around. Your opinions are derogatory and discriminatory which isn't allowed in this school, which you’ve already been warned about. Now Izuku will have detention with Aizawa sensei for hitting you, but you were the ones that started it, he tried to de-escalate it but that boy kept pushing."
The leader rolled his eyes, "We’re allowed to talk to each other. That exploding brat came up to us. Anything that happened is on him. Not us."
A puff of smoke came out of the hero's mouth "you may be allowed to talk amongst yourselves but being discriminatory’s against the rules of this school. Always has been, now please follow me so you can plead your case to the principal."
The leader rolled his eyes with a wince, "Bullshit. He's the one that fucking hit me but he gets a slap on the fuckin' wrist. I didn't do jack shit."
"I heard everything you said, the accusations you were spouting are horrible. Now either come with me or I’ll drag you to the principal's office instead."
The boy huffed but moved towards the school with the rest of the group. He glared at Izuku and Oboro as he went.
Katsuki had his fists clenched tight. If he opened them, then he'd let off explosions. If that happened, he'd end up attacking the first years. This was the best way without Eijiro to keep him from doing something stupid.
As soon as they were out of sight Izuku turned to kaachan. "Let it out kaachan, you know it's bad to hold back."
Katsuki nodded and walked away from the others. He didn't wanna hurt anyone. His hands felt unbearably sweaty with how hard they were clenched. When he was far enough away he put his closed fists up in the air before opening them. The second they were open, he let loose as much of his quirk as he could, his ears ringing from the explosions going off.
Izuku waited for him to finish letting out his frustrations "feeling better?"
Katsuki didn't say anything. Just nodded his head. His ears were still ringing from the explosions and it was a little hard for him to hear. It’d go away and his hearing would be fine like normal. He was just glad he was adept at reading lips.
Izuku sighed and shook his head at his friend "come on kaachan, we knew this would happen. You need to ignore them a bit more."
Katsuki growled, "I'm fucking fine! Stupid shitty fucking extras." No one was surprised the blonde was shouting. Oboro looked over at Izuku, silently asking if this was normal yelling or what they'd been talking about on the way to the lounge.
Izuku turned and nodded to his boyfriend, this was definitely from his quirk. They’d have to talk to him about this sooner than later.
Oboro sighed, "C'mon, let's get back to the dorms." He hoped putting their friend in a safe, comforting environment would help calm the blonde down and then maybe they could bring it up. Or maybe not. It might be a discussion for tomorrow.
They headed to the dorms and told everyone what happened, of course their classmates were angry as well. They all knew what Izuku was capable of after all. The rest of the night was spent playing games or studying together before Izuku and Oboro had to go get eri from tensei.
When it was time for the two to go get her, they made their way over to where the small makeshift school was for the elementary students. Oboro sighed. Today started nice but ended in a mess.
Izuku looked at his love "I know Stormy, but we knew this would happen. I'm more surprised it didn't happen sooner. Ignoring them is hard but I know how much support I have with the family, so it doesn't hurt as much." He kissed Oboro’s cheek and headed inside to find their daughter.
"It sucks," was all Oboro said before forcing himself to put the thoughts behind him. Eri didn't need to worry about their shitty day right away. They could tell her about it later if she asks.
He nodded softly. It really did but he was pretty used to things like this by now. Didn't mean it didn't hurt but he could ignore the hurt.
"Papa! Mama!" The cry of an excited little girl pulled them both from their thoughts as Eri ran towards them.
"Hi, Raindrop," Oboro said, kneeling down so he could catch his excited daughter, "Did you have fun at school today?"
Eri nodded as she jumped into his arms "it was a lot of fun mama!"
"I'm glad. Himi and Kota get along okay or were they both trying to have just your attention?" Oboro asked as he hugged the girl. She was special and everyone would want to be her friend, he was sure of it.
"Well at first Kota was being kind of rude to Himi, but then Himi scolded him really good and he stopped. They both want my attention but I think they’ll be friends before long too," the girl told her mama happily.
"Good," Oboro said, happy his daughter had more friends. And, if Himiko took the little boy's eyes off of Eri, well it's a win-win.
Izuku chuckled and ruffled her hair "I'm glad you had a good day sweetling. Are you ready to go home and have some dinner?"
"Yes please!" Eri said happily, jumping out of Oboro's arms. She grabbed both older teens hands in her own and happily swung them as they began walking.
The two of them smiled as they walked towards their home. As they walked the swung eri into the air causing her to giggle excitedly. This was perfect, it's what they both adored more than anything they could ever wish for.
The family made dinner, eri asking if she could help. So the family worked together on their meal Oboro teaching her as they worked. The night was quiet and peaceful. When they crawled into bed that night, thoughts of the bad stuff that happened were nowhere in sight.
