“Couch,couch,couch,” two voices say together as the children dance through the house.
Tori follows behind as she watches her children jump over the back of the couch and land beside their mother. She grabs the remote and hits Netflix and easily finds the movie the children want.
“Okay, you two I already said I’d watch the movie but if you guys are gonna talk the whole way through it I’m out,” Jade says pulling a kid into each side of her and snuggling them.
“Deal!” They call together as they reach for their popcorn bowls. Tori plops down in the arm chair and puts her feet up on the coffee table so they are touching Jades.
The movie starts and the kids of course sing along but Jade smiles to herself when she catches her wife mouthing the lyrics as well.
“Oooo this part is so good!” Tori says with a little clap. Jade rubs her forehead and looks over at her wife.
“Vega, that goes for you too,” Jade says with a sigh.
Tori mimes zipping her lips and leans back in her chair.
95 minutes later the kids are asleep on the couch and Jade is trying not to be seen by Tori as she rubs a hand against her eyes before the tears can fall.
“Good movie ya?” Tori asks from behind the couch as she leans down to kiss jades head.
“Mmmm” Jade mumbles as she tries to untangle herself from the children’s limbs.
“Oh is my personal Mira having some feelings?” Tori says around giggles.
“It was cute and the last song ya it might have gotten me just a little,” Jade grumbles as she picks up Walker carefully so she doesn’t wake the child. Tori comes around and gets Twany.
Next day
Jade can’t help but sing along to the song on the radio.
“We're goin' up, up, up, it's our moment
You know together we're glowing
Gonna be, gonna be golden” she sings as she pulls into parent pick up line. The twins come running out and climb into the back quickly buckling their seatbelts.
“eomma!” Twany says from the back with a large grin,” youre playing huntrix!”
Jade glances from the mirror with a small smile.
“ you guys might have gotten me into it but just a little!” She says laughing,” also what did you call me?”
“eomma! It means mom in Korean. Ms. Jung is teaching the class a few words! She said if we all were going to be obsessed with kpop we should at least use it to learn,” walker says as he looks out the window.
“Cool, cool,” Jade says making a mental note to add some Korean practice in to the household.
After homework and chores the family piled around the table for some meatloaf and mashed potatoes.
“sogeum-eul neomgyeola,” walker said with a smile,” pass the salt,”
“jalhaess-eoya,” Jade said with a smile
“jalhaess-eoyo, babe,” Tori said gently.
“My bad,” Jade says taking a sip of water.
“Not bad for your first day of learning,” Tori says with a smile. Tori had gone to Korea for a few concerts so she had picked up a good amount of the language.
“ umma, can we go to Korea one day? And see a real kpop group?” Twany asks bouncing in her chair.
“Sit still so you don’t choke,”Tori says softly,” and sure I’ll see who’s touring and when.”
Jade lay in bed reading a book glasses sliding down her nose a little when Tori walked in and locked their bedroom door. Jade glances up and her mouth actually falls open. Shes staring at Tori with her hair braided like Rumis and in her golden outfit minus the shoes and jacket.
“I would have gone with the hunter outfit I know you loved that but it would taken to long to pull off,” Tori says as she walked to the bed.
“I umm that’s…”Jade starts but can’t seem to get her thoughts straightened,”you look whoa Vega,”
“I know you enjoyed the movie and saw you looking up Polytrix last night,” Tori says as she climbs onto the bed. Now that she’s closer Jade can see she’s even drawn on the patterns. Well no one has ever said Vega has half assed anything, jade thought grinning and thinking back to the bird scene.
“Pay attention to me west,” Tori says with a smirk. Jade moves to take her glasses off but Tori stops her.
“Oh no leave them, they are very Mira,” Tori says grinning. Jade smiles and leaves them on as she quickly shades her night shirt.
“Oh that was to easy,” Tori says straddling jades hips.
“I’m so glad I watched that damn movie with you,” Jade says leaning in to meet her wife’s lips.
