Chapter Text
Giyuu's POV
Never in his wildest dreams would Giyuu have thought a beast like this one would stumble into his temple. The lumbering Oni stood more than two heads above him and yet looked down at him with reverence, curiosity and what might have been a bit of hunger.
When he'd felt the presence of another being in his temple, he'd immediately left his bed to go and see. After all, he never gets visitors after dark.
So when he saw the large creature laying on the marble floor by his altar- in a less than respectful manner- his interest was piqued. Even more so when he had refused his blessing. Giyuu could have easily healed his wounds, and would have been happy to do so without receiving an offering. His company and the warm feeling his voice invokes in Giyuu's body is payment enough, but the stubborn creature refused and Giyuu has never been one to push.
It's the first time someone has spoken to him in over 300 years and to do so, so casually. A simple request for aid but what difference does it make when it marked the moment that would bring about change in Giyuu's dull life.
Now he sits on the floor by his alter, twisting the fur at the tip of one of his tails while he waits for his guest to return from the washroom. His ears twitch in his excitement but he cannot find it in himself to be ashamed. He wonders if Sanemi will stay a while. He longs for companionship and this beast who doesn't cower in his presence might be the perfect match for him.
He's pulled from his drifting thoughts by Sanemi’s approach.
“Giyuu?” The deep rumble of Sanemi’s voice sends shivers down his spine.
“Yes Sanemi?”
“I hate to ask this but do you mind sheltering me here until the storm passes?”
“Not at all. I would love to.” Giyuu sees the surprise flicker in Sanemi's eyes, as an Oni he's probably not used to people giving him a warm welcome or opening their homes to him so easily but Giyuu wants nothing more than for him to stay and will do anything in his power to make that happen.
“I- My arm is injured but I'm pretty resilient. I can work-”
“Look around you. There isn't much work to be done here now is there?”
“W-well….. if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask me. I'd be more than happy to assist.”
“Of course. Come, let me show you to my quarters.” Giyuu wonders if he can convince him to stay permanently.
“Your quarters? What for?”
“Where else are you going to sleep? There is only one room and you cannot sleep down here.” Giyuu gestures at the wide open space of the temple's altar room, alluding to the fact that it has no doors to keep the wind and rain out.
“Oh.” He can see the internal struggle in Sanemi's eyes. Sense his hesitance. Doubt swirling deep in his lavender eyes as he considers his options.
“You don't need to worry about me. If I was fearful of allowing you into my space, I wouldn't have offered. Come.” He takes Sanemi’s large hand into his own- marveling at the way it dwarfs his- and leads him up the stairs.
His room isn't much, containing a single dresser where he keeps his robes, a cabinet for his many pillows and blankets and a large futon upon which he built his nest. The room is quite spacious but he has no other possessions to fill it, nor does he have the desire to do so.
“Oh it's big. I can just sleep on the floor over there.” Sanemi gestures at the empty space on the other side of the room and Giyuu deflates.
“Or you can sleep in my nest with me. It's big enough, we can both fit.”
“I couldn't impose on you like that. You've already done enough by letting me stay here.”
‘Stay longer.’
“But the floor will be cold.”
“I'm used to it. I travel a lot so I'm used to sleeping on the ground. Besides, I'm not like a human who gets sick easily.” Sanemi’s stubborn insistence makes it clear he'd rather sleep on the floor than with Giyuu and he can't hide his disappointment. He'd hoped Sanemi would want to share a bed with him- he'd never slept with someone else in his nest before- but clearly that won't be happening.
“Ok, if you insist. I can at least give you some spare blankets I have.” He moves to the cabinet he keeps his extra blankets in without waiting for Sanemi’s agreement, pulling out a few to hand to him.
“You're too kind.”
“Nonsense. I want you to be as comfortable as possible. I was already in bed when you stumbled in so I'm going back to sleep. Make yourself at home while I put the candles out downstairs.

Sanemi’s POV
Sanemi stares down at the fluffy blankets burdening his arms. They smell of jasmine, rosemary and sage, same as the beautiful creature they belong to. He doesn't know if the kindness and hospitality is some sort of trick but he's wary nonetheless.
He's an Oni. A beast. A monster. Nobody has even extended such hospitality to him before, so receiving it from a creature of divinity is all the more puzzling.
Sanemi expected to sleep sitting up against the wall downstairs and to be turned out at first light. Being offered to share a room with Giyuu surprised him, so imagine his shock when he was offered a night in his bed as well.
He doesn't know much about kitsune but from what he's heard, they aren't always the most hospitable. He's begun to wonder what this creature wants, why it's being so kind, though the look of disappointment in his eyes when Sanemi had refused to join him in bed spoke of different intentions than Sanemi might have been anticipating.
He retrieves his bag from where he'd dropped it by the doorway before coming back to spread the blankets out as best he can.
Giyuu's bed was a mass of plush looking pillows and thick blankets, he'd called it a nest and it sure does look like one. He'd be remiss if he didn't admit that the thing looked quite comfortable and inviting but as much as he might want to give in and slip inside it with Giyuu, that was dangerous territory he'd rather not step into.
‘Best to steer clear of temptation.’
Admitting to himself that he found Giyuu attractive was fairly easy, the man was breathtakingly beautiful but just because he could accept that thought doesn't mean he has to act on these urges. He'd only make trouble for himself if he let those temptations win and he'd absolutely be unable to stop himself had he given in and gotten into bed with him.
When Giyuu returns, he goes over to his little dresser, rummaging through it until he comes up with a much thinner robe than the one he's currently wearing. Sanemi briefly wonders if he'd planned to sleep in the ones he had on before he showed up but doesn't give voice to his thoughts.
He lies on his uninjured side which coincidentally means he's facing Giyuu's direction, though he doesn't think he could take his eyes off him if he tried. Giyuu shrugs his robes off, shamelessly letting them fall to his feet before pulling his waist length black hair over one shoulder, leaving him completely naked while he dons the other robe.
Sanemi's eyes travel down the smooth, flawless expanse of Giyuu’s back, his mass of fluffy tails swaying back and forth above a round, plump ass as he oh so slowly dresses himself. He's only half Sanemi’s height but as he stands now, his slender, creamy legs seem to go on forever.
Once the robe slips into place, Sanemi’s eyes flick back up to Giyuu's to find them already watching him over a slender shoulder.
“See something you like, Sanemi?”
‘Fuck.’
“I-” He doesn't get the chance to form a proper response before Giyuu is directly in front of him, nudging him with a pawed foot until he rolls onto his back before straddling his wide hips.
“You're a big man aren't you?” He whispers, clawed hands exploring the wide expanse of Sanemi’s chest through his thin cotton shirt.
“I'm an Oni. We're beasts, not men. We don't come in small.”
“I like that.”
“We shouldn't be doing this. You should go to bed.” Sanemi tries to scoot Giyuu off his lap as gently as possible but the man just wiggles out of his grip. There's danger in his movements. In the way his plush ass grinds over Sanemi cock.
“Your tusks are awfully big. Is that normal? Do you have fangs too?” He crawls up Sanemi’s body, straddling his chest to get a better look at his face.
“Mine are a little big but it's normal to have big tusks. Bigger tusks attract mates and no, I do not have fangs, all my teeth are sharp.”
“Really?!” He perks up, ears twitching in excitement and Sanemi can't help but admire how adorable he looks. “May I see them please?”
“You didn't know that? You act like you don't know what I am.”
“I know what an Oni is in theory, just like I know what a human is in theory or an Ogre. But I've never met one before. I've only seen my own kind up close and that was so long ago that I barely remember even that.”
“What do you mean?” His brows furrow and he sits up to be level with Giyuu, at least to an extent. The action makes Giyuu's body slide back into his lap and Sanemi has to shift him back some so he's not sitting directly on his cock.
Giyuu tilts his head to the side in that cute way he does, “What I said. I know what they are but I've never been close enough to learn anything.”
“So you don't ever leave this temple?”
Giyuu shakes his head no. “Not very far and only to get some exercise and sunlight.”
“And nobody comes to see you?” Sanemi finds himself getting more and more confused by Giyuu's answers.
‘How does he live like this?’
“The humans come to pray and leave offerings but they don't talk to me. They won't even look at me. They're all scared.” The sadness in Giyuu's eyes pulls at Sanemi heart strings and he comes to a sad realization in that moment.
‘He's lonely. No wonder he acts the way he does.’
“Then why don't you leave? How long have you been here?”
“I can't. I have a duty to protect these people and this part of the forest. I've been here for a little over 350 years.” The sadness in Giyuu's expression quickly melts away as he occupies himself with prodding and groping Sanemi's body as he speaks and Sanemi has to grit his teeth to try and ignore it.
“How old are you?”
“I'm 513 years old. Can I see your teeth, please?” Giyuu's slitted pupils blow so wide they eclipse the deep blue of his irises. He pushes against Sanemi’s chest— again displaying that inhuman strength— indicating for him to lie back down. Sanemi doesn't bother fighting against it and Giyuu quickly clamoring back up his chest.
“I don't think-” Giyuu catches his jaw with one hand, clawed fingers slipping between his lips to pry his mouth open with surprising strength.
“They're really pretty.” He murmurs, finger pads slipping over the sharp points of the upper row of Sanemi’s teeth. Suddenly he's leaning forward, his tongue flicking out to lick over one of Sanemi’s tusks. The sensation of Giyuu’s long, slippery tongue gliding over his lips has shivers rolling through Sanemi's body and his cock hardens in an instant.
“Fuck! Ok! Let's stop. We should really stop. You should get in your bed and go to sleep.” Sanemi grabs him and holds him at arms length, ignoring the twinge of pain in his injured arm.
“I don't want to go to sleep. I want to explore you more, Sanemi.”
He groans at those words, spoken so casually in Giyuu's husky voice. “Well I want to go to sleep. I'm exhausted from traveling all day and walking through all that rain and wind.”
Giyuu huffs at his insistence, thinking for a second before speaking, “Let's make a deal then.”
Sanemi eyes him suspiciously, “Go on.”
“You come into my nest with me and I'll let you go to sleep.”
“Why do you insist that I sleep with you?” Sanemi thinks it’s not much of a deal when he’s only trading something Giyuu wants for something else Giyuu wants.
“You are large and warm and I want to be cuddled. I haven't been cuddled since I was a kit. Please?” Those big pleading eyes completely melt Sanemi’s heart. How could he possibly say no to this poor, abandoned fox?
“Fine.” He sighs, “But if I do, you have to promise you won't keep groping me. I actually need some rest.”
Giyuu's ears flatten against his head and a cute pout forms on his lips. Even his tails, which had been swinging back and forth the entire time, droop at his words.
“But-”
“No buts. Let me rest.”
“Can I touch you more in the morning? Will you touch me? Please?”
Sanemi sighs again. It's a bad idea. It's a very, very bad idea but how can he deny the poor thing when he begs so sweetly? Having the knowledge that he hasn't been touched by another or even had the company of someone else's voice in so long doesn't make it easier for Sanemi to say no.
“Ok. I- you can do your exploring tomorrow when I'm less tired.”
Giyuu smiles so brightly, Sanemi thinks the extra stress of trying not to fold while he's being felt up by the most gorgeous creature he's ever laid eyes on, might be worth it.
“Come.” He whispers, shuffling out of Sanemi’s lap and taking his hand to lead him to his nest.
He climbs in, pulling Sanemi with him until they both sink into the pillows. Sanemi thought it looked comfortable but it feels even better. He feels like he’s lying on a bed of clouds, soft pillows hugging his body on every side. It's heaven. He knows as soon as he's allowed to relax he'll be out like a light.
“Mmm this feels good.” He murmurs, stretching out on his back.
Giyuu beams at him, “Yea? I'm glad you like it.” He prods and pokes at the pillows around him before settling against Sanemi’s side, his tails curling over both their bodies.
Sanemi's last thought before he drifts off is that he could get used to this.
