"Please, cover it!" he said again, raising his hands as if to shield his eyes from me, though he still stared out the window. Frowning, I tugged my collar shut a bit tighter. His cheeks had taken on a deep flush, and his eyes had affected an odd glossiness that troubled me. Though the charm was now tucked safely away in my shirt, he still averted his gaze dazedly when he turned back around to face me, as if he was frightened to look at me dead on.
