Summary
Months after Kevin and Jean managed to escape their abusive pack, a beaten and bloody wolf turns up on Andrew's doorstep. Kevin says that Nathaniel Wesninski is the only reason he and Jean got away at all, and that he, too, deserves a safe place to heal. And who would the Foxes be, who would Andrew be, if they didn't offer him this second lease on life?

Nathaniel Josten was raised with one purpose in mind. Serve the Moriyamas. For the last nine years of his life, that meant living in the Nest with the rest of the Perfect Court. Nothing there is ideal, but the violence his home in it's own right. There isn't anything they can do to change it. Or so that's what they believe until the great Kevin Day goes missing and turns the entire Nest upside down.

Neil joined the Nest shortly after Jean and has been enduring alongside him for years. After Kevin broke his hand and left for the Foxes, Neil and Jean stuck close and survived together. When Kevin makes an unprecedented return to Evermore, the equilibrium of the Nest is disrupted. Now with Kevin back but permanently sidelined as an assistant coach, Neil and Jean are faced with a new hopelessness. It drives them to extremes until they're cut and exiled from the Nest. An impromptu transfer to the Foxes secures them a team, but not without its challenges.
