A perfect example of what truly matters is on the inside
~Unknown
When Marcel and Cami walked into the Mikaelson mansion one day, they were greeted by the strange sight of Klaus sketching in his book, well his blood drained into a blood bag.
A smile grew on Marcel's face. They had been having troubles with the wolves lately. So he had sent Cami in to ask Klaus to give some of his blood to Marcel, for his vampires. In case any of them got bit. It seems that she came through.
Cami also had a smile on her face. She knew Klaus would listen to her. He was changing, her, her!
Klaus looked up at the pair, raising an eyebrow he asked, "Do you two need something?"
Cami smiled, "I'm so happy you finally saw reason. I know you'd come around."
Seeing Klaus' perplexed face, Marcel pointed out the blood bag he was filling up. "The blood. For my vampires."
Klaus let out a chuckle at the notion. "No. Of course not. The blood isn't for you." He said, setting his book and blue pencil down.
"Then who's it for?" Cami asked, with a frown on her face.
Instead of Klaus, Kol's voice rang out from behind them. "Oh please, even I can answer that. It's for his girlfriend."
"Wrong Kol. He wishes she was his girlfriend. But she barely even gives him the time of day." Rebekah corrected her brother, a smirk on her face.
Klaus let out a growl, "Last time I checked. I was invited to her graduation."
Rebekah rolled her eyes, "Yeah, because she wanted a mini fridge."
"What do you think I'm doing right now, then?" Klaus asked.
Kol let out a roar of laughter, "Damn, you are whipped."
"So the blood isn't for the night walkers?" Marcel repeated.
"God." Kol groaned. "Didn't you hear anything we just said. No! It's for Caroline!"
"Kol!" Both Klaus and Rebekah yelled in unison.
"Opps." Kol shrugged. "I guess Marcel wasn't supposed to know about our little blond huh?"
"No you idiot." Rebekah groaned. At this point, it was safe to assume they should already start treating Caroline like family. As it isn't a matter of if, only when… when Caroline would let him that is. Because honestly, if her brother had his way, Caroline would already be married to him and they'd be on their around the world honeymoon.
Klaus turned to look at Marcel, "So yes. The blood isn't for your night walkers. It's for the love of my life, and your future queen."
"I thought you always said love was a vampire's greatest weakness." Marcel growled.
"Yes, well I can afford to protect my love, can you?" Klaus asked, his eyes flickering to Cami. Marcel understood the threat in his message.
But the blond human assumed that he was referring to her, as his love, in his statement. She smiled and was about to open her mouth but was cut off by Rebekah, "Not you, you piece of outlived livestock."
Hurt filled Cami's expression, she turned to look at Klaus for comfort, but he completely ignored her.
"So yes. If I see you anywhere near Caroline without my permission. Well… we both know what I'm capable of don't we? Little Warrior." Marcel growled at the name.
But Klaus just continued to smirk. His body language was relaxed, but the self proclaimed king could clearly see the monster lurking underneath Klaus' skin. As much as he hated to admit it. He knew the older vampire had five times the years on him, and could easily take his kingdom back any time he wished.
"So yes. I suggest you stay away. If you want an example. Just look at Hayley. Want to guess why she's currently locked in a room until she gives birth?" Klaus asked.
"Oh. I know the answer to that!" Kol said gleefully. "It's because she snapped Caroline's neck."
"Yeah, but the real question is. What's going to happen to her once she pops the child out. I mean, mother of Nik's kid or not. I doubt he plans to let her live." Rebekah casually added.
Cami let out a gasp, "She's the mother of your child Klaus!"
Klaus sent a glare her way, which froze her in her tracks, "She snapped Caroline's neck." Klaus repeated. The answer may not satisfy many people. For him, though. It was more than enough of a reason to carry out what he had planned for the werewolf once she gave birth.
Cami's eyes traveled to his the picture laid on the table. The picture that he was sketching. It was of a gorgeous blond women with bright blue eyes. Cami's eyes widened as cold reality slapped her in the face.
"Now, if you'll excuse me. I need to go find the perfect mini fridge." Klaus said, walking out the door.
When Caroline opened the door to her dorm room, she instantly let the boxes she was carrying go, letting them hit the ground without a care.
Not because they were happy, because she was surprised to see something pushed against the far wall in the room.
It was a mini fridge!
Caroline let out a squeal of happiness, instantly running towards it. It was black, and had two compartments. The bottom one took up a little more than two thirds of it's space. With the one on the top, it had a lock in it.
She decided to open the bottom one first. She found it stocked with B+ blood bags.
There was a note stuck to the inside of the fridge. She opened it to see a familiar writing printed on the paper.
You haven't really gotten to use my graduation present. So here's one that will hopefully serve its purpose. There will be hybrid's coming to stock your fridge on the first of every month, if you're willing to let them in. The code to the compartment on the top is 1011. I also added in something extra as an apology for the previous failure. Don't be shy in using them. After all, I'm willing to wait however long it takes.
Caroline instantly knows that the first two numbers are a month, and the last two are a date. People always stared at her blond hair and blue eyes and assumed that she was just that. Forgetting that she had a near perfect 4.0 GPA, despite all the supernatural chaos happening in mystic falls every day.
She looks at the date, October 11th. What happened on that day. She had been bitten by Tyler on her birthday, October 10th. She widened as she realised that Klaus hadn't given her his blood, the cure till after midnight. Making it October 11th!
'It wasn't something anyone else would guess… but it still held a special meaning to us.' Caroline's lips formed a fond smile at the thought.
She punched in the numbers and opened the upper compartment to find a bag of blood and an envelope.
She took the envelope out and laid it on top of the mini fridge, deciding to look at it after the blood.
Caroline took a bag of blood into her hands. It had no labels, but Caroline had a pretty good idea whose blood it was.
It was Klaus' blood.
A person's blood could be used in many ways to lead to their deaths. And yet, Klaus had trusted her enough, he had cared enough. To give her a whole bag of his blood.
Caroline put the blood bag into the fridge, closing the door she decided she'd think later of an excuse for why her mini fridge had a lock on it.
The baby vampire picked up the envelope, tearing it open from the edge. She looked inside to see a ticket, and a card.
It was a first class plane ticket to New Orleans. It expired in a year. Caroline walked over to her bedside stand. Opening the first drawer, she slipped the ticket in, next to her a picture of her, standing next to a horse.
She turned to the card next. Her eyes widened when she realized it was a black card. The words in the letter rang through her head. Don't be shy in using them.
This is what he must have meant when he said that.
Caroline debated keeping the card, but she then remembered that cute top she saw in the store the other day. Plus, didn't Klaus owe her a new one. Considering one of her favorite tops got ruined from blood when he bit her.
Any thought of her using the card sparingly, flys out the window when she flips the card over.
Caroline let out a curse. "Screw it. A thousand years of money be damned. She may not be able to make them go bankrupt, but she sure as hell is gonna try."
Because the name on the card read;
Caroline Mikaelson
Let's be honest, certain ships have certain symbols to represent them. And no one, NO ONE, can argue that a mini fridge isn't a symbol for Klaroline.
I honestly gagged while writing the third paragraph. Wanna know why, go back up and see what it was about. (And if you are a true Klaroline shipper, believe me. You'd be on the verge of throwing up your most recent meal as well.)
So, I know Kol and Rebekah probably weren't there during the minifridge. But there was only so much Cami I could handle (as much as I'd love to keep bashing her). For my sanity, I needed to bring the two in.
Was the mini fridge gift basket a little too over the top? Maybe. But remember, this is the guy who got her a diamond bracelet (When he was just interested in her), and two gorgeous dresses (Both that were probably worn by a princess or some other important figure). So yeah. Now that he officially considers her the love of his life and is willing to wait however long it takes. Putting that into perspective, it doesn't seem as over the top anymore.
Anyways,
KLAROLINE FOR LIFE!
