Saturday Morning Bug Fables
A collection of stories spiritually inspired by Sonic the Hedgehog (SatAM). It's far more about Bug Fables, though, using the vibes of SatAM for inspiration.

Summary
Officer Astotheles, former leader of the bandits and current leader of Hoaxe Land's enforcers, walks through the halls of the Wasp King's towering "castle" to attend a meeting with his master. As he moves through the halls, he can't help but notice how his footsteps don't sound like they belong.

Summary
Jaune and Mothiva, being roboticized bugs, are the only ones capable of this mission; search a toxic trash pit for computer parts. Easy for bugs without lungs. It's a routine Seeker mission, giving the two of them time to talk about this and that.
Though Jaune tries to be okay, it doesn't take much to remind her that she thinks of herself as little more than a machine. This mission turns out, sadly, to be a lot and she panics.
Mothiva, being Mothiva, will make sure Jaune's okay through it.
(Content Warning: panic attacks, trauma responses, freaking out, fear of the dark.)

Summary
The invasion of Hoaxe and his roboticization of both the lands and its people has left many scars on this world. In the hidden Village of Bugaria, a robot that broke free of Hoaxe's mind control struggles with, physically, being nothing but a machine. How can anyone else understand how it is to not longer eat, to no longer see color or hear sound the same way? To no longer feel? No one, by Jaune's measure, can understand.
And then Mothiva decides that she can in the dumbest way possible.
(A oneshot/drabble inspired by Sonic SatAm and by Soop/Sloop/whatever they're calling themselves' artwork, link to their bluesky in notes.)
