Summary
The Madrigal Family lost more than the miracle and their gifts the night Casita fell. They lost a part of one of their own, and none of them were sure if they could ever get it back. Mirabel Madrigal sacrificed everything in order to get that candle and protect whatever they had left of the miracle that was dying. Casita tried it's best to protect Mirabel, to get her to that candle and lead her back to safety. But it wasn't enough. Amidst all the rubble of the fallen home laid Mirabel Madrigal, candle in her hands, screaming at the top of her lungs as her legs were crushed under a large piece of the tower that had fell on her. From this moment on, everything changes, and the family doesn't know what to do.
Or:
Mirabel Madrigal loses all feeling in her legs after they get crushed with debris after she went to save the candle when Casita was falling. The Madrigal Family now deals with the pain this causes and has to work with taking care of the now disabled Mirabel that can no longer walk. -

Summary
Casita was collapsing, the miracle had burnt out, their gifts were slowly dying. Yet still they had to try and get the candle from the building that was falling apart on top of them. Their home made sure that everyone got out without any major injuries, but unfortunately. It failed to get two cousins out in time- Camilo and Mirabel Madrigal.
(No, no one dies. But I really hated how Camilo was pushed aside the entire movie so I wrote this.)

Summary
Months after rebuilding Casita a huge storm hits the Encanto and Pepa can only do so much to stop it from hitting the village directly. The thing is despite her powers, she is not in full control of the weather that occurs naturally from time to time. A magic wonder is one thing, a force of nature something entirely different. Unfortunately, this explanation does nothing to sooth the rage of a grieving man who seeks to cause her the same pain he fells because of her.
At the same time Mirabel tries to figure out the new gift she received and how it is supposed to be used.

On darker days, Mirabel thinks this is true but on others, she hopes that nothing is beyond repair.
Instead of Alma and Mirabel reconciling after Casita falls down, a rift forms between them and the family as Mirabel runs away. A year later, Mirabel hears of a plot to plunder her hometown and rushes back home. Tragedy strikes and the Madrigals soon come to understand what Alma and the other elders were running away from.
On Mirabel’s darkest day, she finally receives a miracle and ends up in her 15 year old body at the day of Antonio’s gift ceremony. Armed with knowledge of the future and a new understanding of her family, Mirabel fights off a dark future. But the future is a tricky thing as Bruno can attest to. Will Mirabel save her familia and comunidad or are they destined to come crashing down?
