The Crypt was established to help facilitate the creation of dead dove fanworks about the relationship between Prince Jacaerys Velaryon and Lord Cregan Stark.

GENERAL
01. What is a Prompt Meme?
A prompt meme is a collection on Archive of Our Own where people can leave prompts for fanworks that others can then claim. You can also browse and select prompts to fill, creating original fanwork to then be posted to the collection.

02. Who can participate?
Anyone who has an AO3 can submit and fill prompts. AO3 accounts are free and the waiting period to join is usually less than a week. Join the waiting list here.

SUBMIT A PROMPT
01. How many times can I submit a prompt?
One account may submit up to 20 prompts, but please keep each prompt brief (i.e. under 75 words).

02. Can I submit my own prompt to fill?
Yes.

03. How do I submit a prompt?
Click on the "sign-up" button at the archive link and fill out the prompt submission form. You may submit multiple prompts at once. You may edit your prompts or add more to your sign-up at any time.

04. How do I specify what I want in my fill?
Utilize tags! You get eight per prompt submission. For example, if you really want your prompt filled in canonverse, simply tag it with "canon compliant".

FILL A PROMPT
01. How many times can a prompt be filled?
There is no limit on the number of times a prompt may be filled, but we request that people only claim one prompt at a time.

02. How do I find the prompts?
Go to the archive collection and select "prompts" on the sidebar. From there, you can browse everything available and see how many times a prompt has been claimed before deciding whether or not to claim it.

03. How do I fill a prompt?
First, claim the prompt on AO3 by selecting the "claim" button at the bottom of the prompt. Once you have claimed the prompt, a link to it will appear on your user dashboard. You then click the "fulfill" button and follow the instructions. Once you've submitted your fill, your prompter will be alerted by email and your work will automatically be included in this AO3 collection.

05. Can I fill a prompt that has already been claimed?
Yes. Prompts may be claimed and filled by multiple participants.

06. Is there a word minimum for fic?
Nope! This collection is inclusive of everything that can be hosted on AO3.

07. My prompt is in the Godswood, but my prompt fill is dead dove. What do I do?
Please fill all prompts in the collection where the original prompt is located. There is no need to re-create a prompt in The Crypt if the fill ends up being dead dove, and there is no need to re-create a prompt in our Godswood collection simply because the fill ends up being a non-dead dove rating.

08. What if I wish to include it in The Crypt so that people can see it if they are looking for dead dove fics to read?
If you fill a Godswood prompt with a dead dove work, you have the option to manually submit it to The Crypt as well by going to the “post to collection” option in the fic options and adding “The Crypt (TheCrypt),” as fics on AO3 are able to be submitted to more than one collection.

ETC
01. This prompt meme is evergreen (meaning it will always remain open^†.)
^†Moderators reserve the right to close the collection if at any point it becomes compromised and/or they are unable to continue moderating it, but we will never hide the collection.

02. If you need to contact one of the event admins, you may do so by sending an email to [email protected]. Please use “Jacegan Prompt Meme (The Crypt)” as the subject line.

03. If your prompt is deleted, you may re-submit to the proper collection according to the guidelines. We will be removing any non-Jacegan prompts, but we welcome you to add your non-Jacegan prompts to the multi-ship Fire Blood and Kink prompt meme (or whichever of its subcollections your prompt fits best into.)

04. We will also be removing any non-dead dove prompts from this collection, as they belong in the main AO3 collection: Godswood.

DEAD DOVE CLASSIFICATIONS
Please remember this applies to PROMPT SUBMISSIONS, ONLY. Prompt fills belong in whichever collection the original prompt was put into, regardless of rating!

01. Any prompt necessitating a “dead dove” tag on AO3 belongs in The Crypt.

02. Prompts explicitly requesting characters to be written underage.

03. Prompts focused around the titillation of bodily functions other than saliva, lactation, cum/slick, and menstruation. This includes consensual and non-consensual blood play, watersports, omorashi, etc.

04. Prompts that utilize explicit descriptions of violence and/or gore or that are explicitly requesting depictions of violence beyond what is typically found in canon.

05. Prompts explicitly requesting rape and/or non-consensual activity.

06. Prompts requesting characters have sex with and/or in shifted forms, including monsterfucking and full-shift werewolf requests.

07. Prompts that you hope someone will fill with a dead dove spin (be sure to tag Dead Dove: Do Not Eat and/or let people know in the description so that it is not removed by collection moderators.)

NOTE: due to source material, incest is not considered dead dove (e.g. a prompt where Jacaerys and Cregan are related does not constitute submission to The Crypt on that basis alone.)

01. Don't Like, Don't Read
We have created two collections to separate out dead dove prompts from the rest of the ratings for ease of scrolling. However, ultimately, there are no content restrictions, and we will not be aggressively policing this separation. You may stumble upon prompts and/or fills that you don't like (or that may even offend you). If this occurs, do not engage. We will not tolerate disparagement, excessive criticism, nor kinkshaming of participants.

02. Jacegan Focus
All prompts and fills submitted to The Crypt must have Jacaerys and Cregan as the main pairing. Side pairings are allowed, as are polyships, as long as they are properly tagged and Jacegan is the primary relationship.

03. Prompt Appropriately
Please do your best to prompt in the correct collection (i.e. dead dove prompts belong in The Crypt and non-dead dove prompts belong in our Godswood. As there is no way to sort either prompt collection, we’re hoping this will make it a little bit easier for people to find prompts to their own taste.

04. Fill in good faith, but follow your muse.
Prompts are posted to help inspire ideas and creativity. We hope that you fill the prompts in good faith, but understand that sometimes things go in a different direction than planned. That's okay! If things get too far away from the original prompt, please relinquish your claim and submit/fill your own prompt so that your work is still included.

05. Tag Appropriately
As we ultimately have no content restrictions, it's up to the prompters to select the right collection and the creators to tag the final work correctly to help people make the best choices for themselves when engaging with the collection and tags. Improperly tagged content may be removed from the collection.

06. Moderation Rights
Our intention with this collection is to encourage the creation of fanworks of all types, including kinks and setups that might be deemed uncouth by some. However, please keep in mind the following:
- We have a zero tolerance policy for plagiarism. If you believe your work has been plagiarised, please report it to AO3 as per their guidelines, and contact one of the event admins by sending an email to [email protected] with the subject “Jacegan Prompt Meme (The Crypt): Plagiarism”
- Additionally, we welcome dead dove content with open arms. However, there is a line between exploring kink or dead dove content through the framework of fiction and vulgar, horny shitposting. This is a largely unmoderated collection, but the maintainers maintain the right to remove any prompts and/or fills from the collection that fall into the latter category so that we can combat trolling and/or misuse of this collection.
