It was a dark and stormy night.
No, actually it was a bright, sunny day, and Sam was all of sixteen at the time. In his head, it was a dark and stormy night. After twenty-four hours of riding in the Impala with Dad and Dean, Sam was sick of everything and everyone. Dad had only made two stops in those twenty-four hours—both of them to truck stop diners where the bathrooms had been as greasy as the food.
