It should be easy. The mission’s meant to be easy, a quick in and out, as routine as a covert infiltration of a foreign territories’ secret research facility can possibly be. Which is, of course, why it goes wrong. Now, Ghost is dosed up with truth serum and he can't seem to stop confessing to anyone who'll listen that he's in love with Soap.

Soap felt like all the air had been sucked out of the room. He watched Rudy’s hand tighten on Alejandro’s as he shot a sympathetic look towards Soap, who quickly looked away.

Soap fucked up. There was no other way of putting it, and everyone else knew.
The only person who hadn’t commented on it yet was Ghost, who lurked around for a while before taking a different approach. Instead of reprimanding Soap for his conduct, he chose to help the root of the issue — helping Soap release all his pent-up energy.
Eventually, sparring stops being enough to keep him grounded.
