super sweet and presented an interesting idea, managing to maintain derek’s main character attributes, but still offering a — slightly ooc — way in which he communicates (because, duh, it’s derek hale. talk about feelings when?). i loved it! -

“Fuck that,” Stiles says, dangerously low. “I already did the closeted jock thing in high school. Like fucking hell I’d put myself through that again.”
Derek’s breath catches in his chest. Stiles is – he’s incandescent, entirely lit up with rage. He pushes back from the table swiftly, a horrible screeching noise as the legs drag against the floor. A muscle twitches in his jaw as he looks down at Derek with intense, narrowed eyes.
“I’m sorry,” Derek begins to say.
“Just – don’t bother, all right? I’m not interested in being your first fuck over the rainbow. You wanna hook-up with a guy, see what all the fuss is about? Go to a gay bar and pick up the first twink you see. You won’t find it hard.”
“I’m not –”
“Just leave me the fuck out of it.”
Derek Hale is a straight college basketball star. He may need to reevaluate that first part when he meets Stiles Stilinski.

loved the au concept of ‘nerdy twink’ x ‘jock sports player’ that, while is a cliche, works so well. absolutely adored how head over heels derek is for stiles (i need more of yearning derek hale all over!). his relationship with his sister and friends is also so cute. -

Not wanting to think on it too much, Stiles took a step forward and passed his hand between the bars, moving the bleeding side closer to Derek’s mouth.
“Not too close, he bites.”
Stiles snatched his hand away just as Derek had been about to lick at it. The snarl he got in response was not comforting.
“He what?” Stiles asked nervously, turning to Deaton.
The man looked a little amused. “Don’t worry, only if he doesn’t like you.”
“Well, he probably hates me, now!” Stiles insisted, turning back to Derek.
He looked extremely displeased.

YES YES YES! feral derek hale is a concept i’d never imagined before, but works so well here. loved how considerate and genuinely caring stiles was towards him, how derek went from being neutral to stiles, to actually being unable to function without him (literally wouldn’t speak!). having derek care for him so deeply, but still choose to forbid himself from being touched at the end, for the sole fact that it’d be not what stiles imagined, was fluttering. And dad sheriff bear mode is always fun! -

ok, this was ADORABLE. yearning, head over heels, absolutely in love derek hale is a MUST. especially when stiles doesn’t initially notice him. always lovely to see the hale family alive and well! oh, and their wolfy interactions? scenting goes beyond!
