    Oh my god. I loved this fic, I’m so honored to receive such a lovely (hot af) gift out of nowhere and I don’t even goddamn know what to say! I got this email this morning and only just now had time to finally sit down and dive into this.

    What a joy. I love the way you approached their emotions, their struggles, their passion, their mutual relief in having each other. I’m a slut for the whole “sleeping in separate rooms to play it safe only for it to quickly break apart into unplanned sex” thing, as well. That’s what I was hoping would happen, so I’m glad it did 😂

    The smut was super sexy. I love love loved the Doctor’s intensity (you already know I’m addicted to him being addicted to bringing Rose pleasure and putting her pleasure first!) and his words:

    “Can I put my fingers inside of you?” he panted out heavily, pressing kisses along her thighs and mons. “Please?”
    YES. Nothing makes me happier than encountering a question I’ve never encountered in smut, and that layer of desperation is just 😩😩😩 Just FUCK ME UP FAM, and the whole fingering bit was just 🔥🔥🔥 — I had this realization in the past week that I haven’t really utilized much fingering in my own smut, and have been planning to in one of my new fics, so this just revved that desire up to a 600. I loved it very much.

    Also… Loved the lack of a condom. God. THANK you. I’m very pro-condom IRL but I can’t get them far enough away from my fics, so thanks 😂 I know it’s realistic to assume Tentoo would need to wear them, and I’d never fault anyone for that- I get it- but me personally? Nah. My Tentoo’s will only ever know unsheathed, unbridled shagging, damn it. I loved that you subscribed to that same vision with this fic and I loved that Tentoo was stoked about it as well, hahaha

    Minor appreciations— I loved the description of Rose’s flat. So many fics assume she lives in this drab, dingy, shitty little sad flat, so I really liked that you gave it character.

    Loved the reference to “Yesterday” — I often feel like I’m the only goddamn person who saw that! With the exception of the entirely too contrived and unnecessary romantic subplot they shoehorned in there, I loved that movie. I’ve thought about it it often when thinking about differences in Pete’s World, so it made me smile to see it’d crossed someone else’s mind 😂

    Lastly — your note 🥺 You are such a sweetheart and seem like such a genuinely lovely and kind human being. I’ve been overjoyed to have you as a reader, and though I don’t feel worthy of quite as much praise as you give, you’ve tugged at my emotions and filled me with so much loving warmth and THANK YOU. Honestly. This whole thing made me so happy and I just ifjfhfifjfjf.

And I’m so glad you enjoyed - in all honesty, I was lowkey mortified when I saw that you read Close because it is, imo, perhaps one of my worst-written smuts. I needed to vindicate myself 🫣

      Oh I’m so glad you enjoyed 😭😭😭 and I’m glad that you had some new experiences here. And you know me - I love love love desperate Doctor, and especially an overwhelmed Doctor who’s like “holy shit I’m gonna shag Rose Tyler” so I just had to include as much as I could in this.

      Really? I honestly hadn’t noticed myself! But, in all fairness, the way you describe clitoral stimulation is always so fantastic and so fulfilling.

      It was a logical and a personal preference thing 😂 I feel that there’s no way Rose would’ve had condoms, because she wouldn’t have had any physical relations in Pete’s World (both because of pining and being an awesome dimension-hopping traveller). Plus, it was their first time… it just had to be no condom. Need that primal passion. And of course tentoo was stoked!

      I personally haven’t encountered any shitty flats in this realm of fanfiction, although I’ve definitely encountered a lot of “hardly used hardly loved”. But I felt that Pete would’ve taken care of her and she would’ve had so much fun living on her own, especially after living in the estate all her life.

      It came to me when I decided to insert that cheeky Muse reference and it felt very right - glad you enjoyed it 🫶🏻

        Okay SO, I know it's like an unspoken rule to not have full-ass conversations via fic comment but I feel the need to reply to this (I did recently follow you on tumblr, but I don't think you've touched it in eons)!

        1. You're so silly, I did love your huddling fic- I'll have to read more of your smut outside of that realm. But I feel you. My very first fic is riddled with all sorts of mistakes I've since learned to stop making, and it's not that I don't love that fic, because I do- it's my baby- but when I get a new reviewer on that one, I always sort of hope they read my more recent stuff, because I think I'm a better writer now. Or at least... I like to delude myself into thinking I am :P

        2. The "shitty flats" comment was a bit dramatic of me, I more so meant exactly what you said, 'hardly used hardly loved', etc- just blank and sad and nothingness. Which, like I said, totally makes sense, considering, but I thought it was a nice bit of detail that you gave hers character.

        3. As for the fingering thing - I 100% have a lot of clit-loving going on with my fics, but when I say 'fingering', I mean finger-fucking. Fingers go inside of Rose in my fics, but it's usually just exploratory (or very briefly skimmed over, or collecting of moisture, etc), not much just pure, drawn-out finger-fucking, and who doesn't love a bit of that 😂 I'm writing a new OT3 one-shot (TxRxT2) where fingering will be coming way more into play. Regardless... Love love loved it in your fic, haha

          Ah who cares - let’s have a chat. And yes… Tumblr is something I rarely visit nowadays 💀 it’s just never really gelled with me and I always stuff up my feed by following all these tags and random accounts. But I have been meaning to revamp the account associated with this one so I can expand the audiences a bit and make myself be a bit more accessible :,)

          1. I’ll put it this way - I don’t think the smut I wrote in Close is like horrible levels of writing, it’s was just written in a very rushed way and not the level of detail/pace I try most of the time so I’ve always been a smidge disappointed by it 😂 It’s one of the only, I’m pretty sure *the* only fanfiction of mine that I have reconsidered rewriting.
