I still have this distinct memory of being 5 or 6 and using one of those really terrible plastic forks trying to eat chilly cheese fries and being soo frustrated that a) it was so flimsy I could barley stab anything and b) when I could stab something that plastic was smoother and it kept slipping off. Neadsless to say, as a heatheness child, I quickly resorted to hands
The end of this chapter is so sad. Like I ment it to be that way, but hearing it aloud, makes me want to give everyone a hug
I too remember chili cheese fries and useless forks! Lol. It took me so many takes to get the deadpan "why won't my fork work?" I giggled the entire time and you just *can't* say that with anything but a frown on your face. I enjoyed reading this so much and I'm so glad you're loving it!
The tournament went decent. His team lost by only a handful of points. It was disgustingly cold out, with a stiff wind that made it even colder, but he felt like he played well over all. And its a rec league so the tournaments are low-key.
