Summary
After the war, Sylvain perhaps never thought things would be easy, but he at least expected them to be simple. That all comes to a halt when he gets badly hurt after a conflict with Srengi extremists, leaving him confined to bedrest. Miserable, he resigns himself to being stuck with his own thoughts, memories, and dreams—particularly ones regarding a certain king that he was never able to and still cannot quell his affection for.
That, of course, all changes when he finds that some old friends have unexpectedly come to help take care of him. Confused by their presence—and bothered by the fact that the one person he really wants can never come—he finds he has to wrestle with his desires, his duty, and his love for his old friends.
