Bloom shook her head. “The witches took everything from me. I’m powerless.”
“It may feel that way.” Faragonda turned to a candelabra on her desk and, with a wave of her finger, a little flame lit on one of the candles. She picked it up, transferring the light to the other two wicks. “If one candle is used to light another, the fire passes on, but the original flame still glows. They can take the fire from you, but they can't take your ability to burn. There will always be a small spark inside you.”

Rewriting of Winx Club as a bit of a young adult novel/tv show. It's sort of based of the idea of Fate in that it's going to try to give off the vibe of a modern day mature television show but the plot will all be original Winx Club.
This isn’t a unique idea, I’ve seen a few really great fanfics doing this already but I wanted to work on my writing and try interpreting it my own way too. Hope you enjoy!

Summary
The embrace of kind whispers and gentle touches did little to settle the explosions in her head. Bloom squinted her eyes, focusing them downwards onto her own blanketed lap as they relayed what had happened to her. They passed the parts of the story to her like pieces of glass; carefully, with trembling hands, as if afraid it would cut her skin or shatter once in her grasp.
“This isn’t your fault, Bloom. It wasn’t you.”
It sure felt like her. She remembers it making perfect sense at the time. It felt like what she was meant to do. There was almost more pride in being the catalyst of destruction than being one of hope. She was more likely to succeed in ending the world than saving it.

“This is a costume party, right?” Stella’s voice stopped Mitzi in her tracks. “What are you dressed as?”
Mitzi looked back over her shoulder, eyes squinting behind her glasses. “I’m a witch, duh. What are you six supposed to be? A pile of garbage bags?”
Bloom looked down at her puffy black jacket. Right, they hadn’t taken them off yet. She was the first to reach for her zipper, silently proud when she could hear her friends following suit.

Summary
Heavy lumps of coal sat in her lungs. She could feel them with every breath she took, the aching weight burning up with the fire inside of her and turning her oxygen to smoke.
Every inhale was suffocating. Sickening.
The uncertainty of their youth, of their inexperience, clashed with their sense of duty. Their tears had flowed and dried enough times over to leave the skin on their cheeks raw but they couldn’t stay any longer. There were still responsibilities to tend to.
They would keep moving forwards. Somehow.
---The Winx Club face against a foe with an opposing path to Bloom's and all learn about how their own histories have shaped them as they look to evolve their powers with the strength of their home planets.
Will they break away from what the fates have handed them? How will they win this battle of divided destinies?
