Ahsoka cries, pressing her face against his shoulder, and he suddenly remembers why those words sound so familiar to him. His mother had told him the same thing years ago.
He left her, leaving her in enslavement.
Ahsoka is doing the same now to him, but he doesn't hold it against her.
Because that way, at least one of them will be free.

She sits down in the vacant chair next to Anakin's bed. She grabs his hand and looks at his sleeping face. She can't see much through the mask, but it won't be many days before he pulls it off and her brother comes back to her safe and sound.
(In hindsight, they were naive to think Sidious would ignore his defeat on Mustafar.)
