Enjolras could feel like he was breathing too hard as he continued, “My friends are looking at me like I’m crazy, but you’ll believe me. You have to, you heard them, too.”
Grantaire’s eyes were impossibly wide, but he nodded.
“Something is going on,” Enjolras said, “And you’re going to help me figure out what it is.”

In a dystopian city where people are made to do mandatory military service, Enjolras and his friends reach the age of eligibility and are sent to serve the city. Struggling with his feelings about the military and his feelings for the son of the head of state that he can’t seem to get out of his mind, a series of impossible and emotional circumstances make them set out to uncover the mysteries of the city, and everything they're hiding
