Summary
Eli Grant has dealt with angels before. She knows they're nothing but hammers, unfeeling brutes in human suits who do nothing but sneer and call her Abomination as they shape the world to their unknowable agenda.
Still, they have something she wants, so when they ask her to play bodyguard to the two hunters who might just be able to stop the end of the world, she says yes.
She couldn't have known it would bring her closer to the one angel she can't help but think of as a person, despite everything she's learned. She couldn't have known it would change the course of the Apocalypse. She couldn't have known it was all a trap.
Shit. She should never have taken this job.
