Summary
There is one rule that stands above all others among the Seven Lords of the Devildom: Lucifer, Avatar of Pride, strongest among them, the Fallen Morningstar, is always right. But, every once in awhile, even Lucifer makes mistakes. He made one answering a summoning in the human realm, and ended up rescuing a human girl and protecting her as his ward. But human souls aren't allowed in the Devildom and, when she is discovered years later, Diavolo gives Lucifer an ultimatum, one that requires all the brothers of the House of Lamentation.
Melody Vale has lived a cursed life, and not just because she was stolen to be used as a human sacrifice as a child. Lucifer, the prickly, gorgeous, could-he-be-any-more-formal Avatar of Pride wrapped her in curses to hide her from demons, reapers, and mages with ill intent. She knows she's sheltered, and that her upbringing has been unconventional, but it's still a surprise to find herself surrounded by handsome, powerful demons alternately suspicious of her and trying to seduce her. She must navigate sinister agendas and seductive skills to escape eternal damnation, and she only has days to do it.

Summary
Satan, the Avatar of Wrath, is assigned to investigate a conspiracy threatening the foundations of the Devildom. Smart, rational and thorough, he’s perfect for this job. With limited time, he recruits Harmony Vale, a witch who once nearly destroyed the cabal behind the conspiracy. The very witch who, out of a sense of protectiveness – definitely not a desire for revenge for the time she caught him in a devil’s trap while he was stuck in cat form – he rescued and hid. Satan doesn’t fully understand the concept of love but he thinks, with a few tricks borrowed from romance literature, he just might be able to find it with this clever witch. If he can keep her alive.
Harmony concedes that Satan is hotter than sin but she’d rather gouge her own eyes out than spend another minute with the demon who kidnapped her and now drops casual threats like he’s talking about the weather. So what if he’s attentive to her every need and offered to help her finish the crusade she walked away from years ago? So what if he’s got the rare combination of canny resourcefulness and a hypnotic sex voice? It’s too bad the sweet promises he’s started throwing her way are nothing but lies. After all, he’s a demon. Lying is who they are. Isn’t it?
